You should revisit this tier list every couple of years and make a new video- I'd like to see how your opinions change. I believe you have only been training for a year or two something like that. It'll be fun to compare this video to your year 5 of training video. Personally my opinions on what is good and what is not have changed a good bit over the years. I use to think d'arce chokes were kinda bad, but honestly I love them now. Same with the arm bars. some things never change though- for me that's been collar chokes and kimuras. Hit them on whites, hit them on blacks.
Kimura is goated you got kimura trap so can take the back with it and can hit from a lot of guards or top position also i like the straight ankle lock respect lo key imo that and omoplata are the most slept on
100% bro..... all high percentage attacks and solid finishers if you can nullify the escape options. I hit LOTS of omoplatas mainly because people don't respect them until they realise they're trapped and in big trouble. Also from the kimura, as you said you can transition to a LOT of options both to attack and just to control, and you can hit the subs from a lot of different spots once you're in this world. The other one that I love is the level up from the straight footlock to the Aoki lock. Getting a lot of those too recently.
@@chris.mcewin yeah I got Lachlan Giles ankle/aoki course I'm a white belt and the butterfly ashi hook has improved my game just using that I'm a wrestler so I don't feel like a white belt
It is what I like to do when i can’t get that second hand in properly. It is what Khabib did to Conor, you can watch that in detail or find a tutorial on TH-cam.
Just to name a couple more subs what about these? Peruvian Necktie, Japanese Necktie, Windshield Wiper Choke, Guillotine choke, North-South Choke, Gogoplata, Cruxifix neck crank, Von Flue Choke, Mir Lock.
@@BjjDylan why not? Maybe add variations of some Submissions as well (Inverted Triangle, double armbar for example), or flying,Jumping or sliding submissions.
@@DeerOnDestinypeople are getting better at defending them. I think they still highly effective but not as much as they were in 2019. Wrestling up from leg locks is the new meta imo
The best submission is...
The one you land 🎉
true!

Good idea I think I will revisit this at every belt level
the disrespect for the paint brush..
Big man move
@@BjjDylan not from mount..
Wb guillotine? Goated in my opinion
rear naked shoke and arm bar are S tier, the rest is the rest ...
Even with all the armbar escapes?
@@BjjDylan of course, even with all the scapes people still land it all the time
Why is the ezikiel trash? I'm just a white belt but my best and successful sub is the ezikiel choke. Genuinely curious.
I think it’s difficult to finish on people unless they disrespect it and don’t raise their hands to defend.

Respectable

fulcrum choke... (it's my favorite)
What is that?
