    TeachMeGrappling put at C is absolutely crazy
    Coach Brian is an amazing teacher and I have gotten more from their channel than any other
    They frequently upload too
    They have really good camera angles to really help understand techniques and show in detail where things might go wrong and how to fix them
    They may have lower production quality (but then again I'm not watching BJJ videos for entertainment) but they have better teaching quality than most, if not all the other bjj channels out there

      Facts his channel is really the only channel where I learn techniques. My sit out escape, getting to the d'arce from a front headlock, . It's also the only channel that kind of combines wrestling and jiu jitsu together. Which is the style I want my game to be like. These other channels seem to just be about themselves more than the learning process.

  • @jakehargis6619
    @jakehargis6619 ปีที่แล้ว +87

    Chewy is absolutely an A in my book. Although he doesn't make technique video's that often anymore, that's predominantly how his channel started. So, if you search for a technique, there's a good chance he's covered it. Also, What about Kesting?!?!? He's great!

  • @RamseyDewey
    @RamseyDewey ปีที่แล้ว +2

    So the criteria was the average of: Production value, entertainment value, and BJJ skill of the presenter? That makes sense, obviously, because it’s TH-cam.
    Out of all these guys, the ones who made the videos that had the most positive impact on my jiu-jitsu were Keenan and Lachlan Giles, and boy were those some boring, low production value videos, but they changed my game massively. So, it’s hard for me to justify tier lists because of outliers like that that aren’t edu-tainment friendly.
    The one I watch for most for entertainment is Jedi- he’s the first guy I saw make a BJJ instructional video that was actually really fun to watch. I like the narrative structure Chewey uses to present information. As a coach that resonates with me a lot, and I find it has a deeper long term impact on students than simply presenting facts and data.
    If Ryan Hall would upload more than one video a year, I wouldn’t feel bad about putting him in the S-tier of a ranking list, but as is, he’s barely a TH-camr. Dan Lukehart probably has the best audio engineering out of anyone making BJJ instructionals on or off TH-cam, and that makes a massive difference, but again, he doesn’t upload consistently to TH-cam.

    Chewy is at least an A tier. I would put him in the S. Posts rolling footage, techniques, and answers all of the crazy questions people send him. Plus answers tons of questions weekly on his Instagram stories.

    Like others have said, surprised you didn’t have Brandon McCaghren, he’s easily A and maybe S tier. Also Less Impressed More Involved is excellent for blue belts and up. Lol nobody watches Fallon for the jiu jitsu.

    Bmac, Less impressed and more involved, and DPS breakdowns are S teir. And I include dps breakdowns because wrestling is a part of bjj whether you like it or not. Jack Slack puts out sporadic content on grappling, but when he does it's top teir.

    "Less impressed more involved" should defeanetly be in the S tier! It's not even mentioned in the rooster... (just as BJJscout which is like the father of all this type BJJ analysis channels, this is SAD...). I do really think TMG (teach me grappling) should be A or S tier, this list is nonsense to me... i feel the video has been made to rub the back of those new trendy channels. Special mention for BrandonMcgaren, sonny brown and Trickster bjj (hence the lack of content)

    “Less Impressed More Involved” for more advanced BJJ peeps IMO, but very entertaining breakdowns, especially of popular matches, such as Gordon's current strategies
