As somebody coming from IT I admit I was a bit sceptic whether there could be generally good advice to such a broad topic like "new laptop" but the advice taught me a lot of new stuff. Thanks! Great job!
'For that one person who is screaming Linux, you can go ahead and run the shutdown command in terminal' killed me haha Even though one of the few reasons I am considering getting a Dell XPS 13 or 15 over a Mac is to double boot it with Linux

Great review, best Ive seen! Think about adding some graphics to your videos, such as spelling out any technical terms. I didn't quite catch the units of screen brightness nor the "3,5,7... Rizen". Might kind of baffle an ...ahem...less techy user!

I ended up getting a lenovo legion over the asus zephyrus g14 because of price, but it is 15.6 inch, and I didn't realize how much less portable it was than my old macbook and how much the numpad shifting the trackpad to the left would bother me. I ended up getting a surface go 2 as a supplement and on the go computing. Great video!
Can you review tablets vs. laptops, low priced, for persons who primarily use for watching videos & news and a little research on the net. Also, how to use public net. Few places nearby but I see some people walking around using the public net to read or watch videos & news. I searched Walmart, etc., but confusing & very small....
This was a great video. I've had a Mac Book Pro for the last 12 years and decided to go back to a PC this year. I purchased the HP Spectre x360 15 Convertible back in Jan. after months of research on what to buy. It was all souped up. Nightfall black with the gold trim, Windows 10 Pro, 1 TB Intel® SSD + 32 GB Intel® Optane™ memory, Intel® Core™ i7. Unfortunately it was stolen after my rental car was broken into during business travel. I am in the market for a new computer and am rethinking if I even need all those features. I really don't want to pay that much. I am an accountant and just want the numeric keypad. But I didn't find myself using the touch screen or the tablet functionality. I store everything in the cloud and use mostly chrome, slack, zoom and Clickup on my computer. I do video editing as well. What are your recommendations for a more affordable option for business use. Also, is windows 10 pro much different than windows 10 home? Thanks for your feedback and thorough reviews.
If you think it is necessary to know terminal commands to run Linux, you are very much out of date. Believe me, I came to Linux in 2006 at the age of 75 and even though I am a non-techie l had no difficulty in doing everything I wanted to do and in the succeeding 17 years it got even easier.

It will handle it just fine, as long as you have Microsoft suite downloaded on both machines. If you have a USB Drive that is NTFS, it won't show up on macOS to keep that in mind.

For apps I would mostly be using Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, InDesign, and Figma. I plan on keep this laptop for 5-6yrs.Would that configuration work?
Budgeting is the first consideration. Now, this may not matter to you, but consider the following points. Apple operating systems are essentially forks of the Unix OS. Also Linux is essentially a fork os Unix as well. Microsoft uses Linux, and I have no doubt that Apple does as well. The Android OS is basically a fork of Linux, and thus of Unix also. With this in mind, why shouldn't you use Linux also. At least learn a little about Linux. Linux can be installed in a virtual machine on almost any computer. You can even get put the virtual machine on an external drive. There is no reason not to do that. There is no reason to not know Linux. Interestingly enough, since MacOS is Unix, many of the MacOS commands and Linux commands are the same.
The 2 major issues within HP 1: Departments are competing against each other and not communicating, they should be out there competing against Dell, Lenovo etc... 2: The Indians are slowly taking over this company and running it to the ground by promising things and many are very unskilled getting paid peanuts. I'm not racist but this is the sad truth about HP who once was the leader as a Tech Company
