We recently stayed at Sedona View. I wish it was still $475 a month! It's gone up about $100 since you were there. I agree that it's a beautiful park in a beautiful part of Arizona.
On their website now, prices are even more. Parameter Sites -$775.00 Monthly plus 17 cents per Kilowatt hour electricity Interior Sites - $675.00 Monthly plus 17 cents per Kilowatt hour electricity
Even $475/mo. is too rich for our blood, and $675 + elect. is over $9k/yr! That's completely out of the question, as we're seniors living on SS. We installed a $10k worth solar system so we could boondock mostly for free instead. We haven't plugged into a power pedestal in 2 years. It's already paid for itself, besides giving us lots of flexibility too. We're on the East Coast now, visiting family where boondocking spots are pretty rare. We're stating in a spacious no hook-up site in a convenient RV park here in NC for only $100/mo. Before we had our big solar system, we wintered over 3 years at a FHU RV park in the RGV of TX for only $170/mo. + elect. at 15 cents/kwh. The winters are so mild there that our 50a electric only cost us around $85/mo. Now, thanks to 5,020 watts of solar and 23.5kwh of batteries we will never have an electric bill in our coach again, for as long as we live. We run everything, including A/C and heat (with our high efficiency heat pump) as needed. This saves over $500 a year in propane too.
It's a winter Haven for sure....If you don't have a good solar/ battery set up and Price wise. Quartzite is much better if you are all set up to boon dock for long periods of time. Just one opinion tho....Cheers all...thanks for the video.
I just never got into the park thing. It looks like a sales lot. Me, my German Shepherd and my Damon don't like crowds. We just like to travel. Now that the house is out of the body shop and looking new again, it's about time to get out of California. A month maybe....
You folks look like you're having a great time out there! But, you might be pleased to know that Gail and I just came back from 3 weeks in Destin. We kept it beautiful for your return. 🏝🌞
You should have tried Thousand Trails RV in Cottonwood, one of our favorite campgrounds. We enjoy the view spots too, but the rest of the resort offers great sites too! When we visit the area we spend a week at TT, a week boondocking near the red rocks of Sedona, then we head back to TTs to empty the tanks, fill the fresh water and head out again! Thank you for the info.
We were there last March when it was new and had only been open a short time. Other than the upper area where the full timers and workers were staying I doubt there was 5-10 people in the camp. The rock & dirt were so soft our trailer wheels sunk down about 4" -5" (including the 2 x 8" they were on) and we had some kinda fun getting out after 5 days. Glad i had 4 x 4. Cathy was a hoot !
I have lived in Utah nearly 40 years and St George for the last 7 The spring of 2021 was by FAR the windiest in all those years and it was that way in the entire southwest clear up to southern Idaho because of a late series of strong storms that moved slowly across the northern states. So anywhere in Arizona was windy not just the elevated park. I follow a few Sedona IG accounts and they commented about how windy it was. If I was full time RV living I might very well stay there. For our shorter stays I would boon dock with solar and minimal generator use. Take off from camp in our RZR from camp to explore off-road and drive the truck into town for dining and shopping and to hiking trailheads. 👍👍😎
I was just there a week ago. Very nice park and affordable. We were there for a week any my only complaint was that the sites don't have picnic tables (extra fee) and fire pits.
You are so right about the wind up there. We stayed at Sedona View from January to the end of March and the wind was insane at times. But the views are epic and the coyote serenades were so beautiful! I would love to see this newer park in a few years when the trees and have some time to grow too!
Aloha!! I've been contemplating jumping into the Van-conversion (class-b size) full-time RV lifestyle. Do campgrounds and national parks give (any) big discounts, for those who are permanently on disability (fixed) incomes??? Kool videos!! (I'm a disabled Target Archer, and I'm thinking about traveling the USA, to shoot at different Archery Clubs, and National Archery Tournaments)
Hi people. We were at Sedona View on the ridge 2020 July. The wind was insane so we moved to the back row below the water towers site #76. The views still awesome but more shelter. We lived there till April 3, 2021. Now on the road as full-timers. Currently in Palisades, CO at Palisades Base Camp. Gorgeous here too !!! Then up to Saratoga, WY. Yay for Sedona View.
So awesome you guys get moving again. We have had some challenges so been at avi koa for 5 months. End of month we start rolling again. Maybe we can hook up and enjoy a meal.
You guys are so awesome ! My wife and I recently stay in downtown Sedona because we had never been to AZ before and did not know any better. We had fun certainly, however your place is freaking Amazing, thanks for the video.
I've been that way a few times, but never knew that particular RV resort was there. Very cool! My parents and I have been to Alcantara Winery several times, and have only noticed Verde Valley Resort and Verde Ranch Resort when we drive in from the interstate. Thanks for sharing your experience!
Nice view! Still the wind would drive me nuts! I don’t really like arid places either! Wind makes it worse. Happy boondocking to you! I might pay that much to be at the beach, but not the dessert!
"It's dusty!" It's ARIZONA!! LOL I moved here from SF to Phoenix 28 years ago...don't ask me why, regrets....and gave up on trying to keep the dust down after about 2 weeks. If you come further south later in the year you might be lucky enough to be in a dust storm (for some reason they call them haboobs now), those are always fun. Especially if you're trying to get back to your house before it hits. LOL Can't wait to see where your next adventure takes you!
Had the pleasure of living near bell rock in oak creek /Sedona for 2 years. We just bought a trailer and will be planning to full time in south west this year
Well have to check that park out - we don't like the Thousand Trails park that much there. Another great park in the area with some nice views is Rain Spirit RV park.
Nice view, I guess, but geez...not a scrap of shade..and you say hella windy? Eh...not my kind of place at all. :-| Although--about $200 less than my current mortgage payment...but with hookups extra... hmmm... nah, I think I'd have to go mountains and trees tribe on this one. ;-)
If I were traveling, yes I would definitely stay there. I remember my cross country drive, through the snowy Arizona mountains. Freaked me out, because all I had ever known of Arizona was the heat.
I've winters at TT Mesa Spirit Rv Resort! Wonderful place!! I was going to go to Verde Valley TT when it started getting hot but something told me to tour the park~very disappointed! Canceled my reservation! Happy trails you two.....
Privacy is hard to find at most campgrounds.thats why i want to upgrade to a van..boondocking❤i been to where these guys stayed.nice views but they are anal about the "look" of ur rig.i felt really welcome tho when we rolled through looking at the sites..had one gent waving every time we went around.so..new rigs only.fyi
Pretty sure the only thing that Spring brings here in Arizona is... WIND! Which doesn't help the allergies at ALL! Beautiful area tho - loved the drone shots!
* Coyotes backdrop I hear?! * Red Rock views awesomeness for your 'stay RV'cation'! Keep it rolling 🎥📽️ as your trolling down the RV highway, thank u 😎👍
Enjoyed the video. The Sedona area is one of the best in Arizona. We have been all around Arizona since late Sept. 2019 due to other commitments and the pandemic. We started in Flagstaff, then to Sedona, stayed at Cottonwood the longest (Section A). Were in Yuma (went to Los Alcadonis, Mexico for the fantastic dental work) and now in Mesa for our 2 shot Pfizer Vacinne. We first met you Tom at TT Orlando while you were jogging the park and looks like we have just crisscrossed each other since then. Hope to see you again sometime again. BTW, We are heading into Carmel, Ca. next ...hint😉. Love the videos and the great drone shots. Keep up the great work, we love seeing them.
Looks like a great place - added it to our " stay here" list. Question about the electric: is it metered at each site or is a set additional charge? THX and have a great day!! EDIT - found info on their website about electric prices and pictures of the posts with meters. New question: are locations with metered electric becoming more prevalent?
Hey. We locals only have 1 Walmart in town. So please- buy your stuff in the bigger cities so you don’t wipe out the locals! ETA- I mean before you get here, once your here, it is what it is.

Yeah, the electric is high. Go further south, around Sierra Vista, (near Tombstone) and prices drop as well as warmer and cheaper electricity.
New Mexico and Arizona both have a fifth season called the wind .
I live in a motorhome full time and split my time between Flagstaff and Buckeye (west of Phoenix). I go to Sedona often.
Oh yeah. Sounds good.
Hi
It's a winter Haven for sure....If you don't have a good solar/ battery set up and Price wise.

What qualifies this gravel lot on top of a leveled hill a 'resort'?
No Shade...Summer heat would be a no way,!!!
mid to high 90's is awesome weather during the summer compared to 115+ here in Phoenix. That's what ac is for.

In the winter months.... absolutely. I LOVE Arizona.... all parts of it! Just move with the weather. Got a nugget out of this video!!!! Yay! ~Lynette

Thanks for the great review. My husband and I will be heading out that way in about 3 weeks

Hi! Do you if people are allowed to have their ATV’s on the grounds and if there are ATV trails near by?
Sounds like a great price with fantastic views!
I've wondered about that place as I pass it every time I'm at the Thousand Trails Park just up the road. 500 a month is doable for sure.
So glad I saw this video and joined your channel. I will definitely be checking this place out.
i am a stay at park camper i pay 850 in the winter and775 in the summer eletricity included so 450 is a great monthly price
Tons of wind, no shade, and a $200/mo electricity bill... Definitely not going to camp there. Thanks for the heads up!😲
And no tables.
Don't forget Kathy....the camp host. Good luck to anyone that ever has to deal with her.
So awesome you guys get moving again. We have had some challenges so been at avi koa for 5 months. End of month we start rolling again. Maybe we can hook up and enjoy a meal.
Where is this place? Can you put a google coordinates please. Thanks
Mid Hills Mojave is a nice campground. By The Hole in the wall.
Great video guys!! Great to actually see around the campgrounds! Keep that up!!
Hi
Great video guy’s, love watching.
Very nice place!!! Hope border will open soon to go there.... Tx
We were there for a few nights in early November last year. The wind was whipping through there pretty good. It was cool hearing the coyotes at night.
Love Sedona!!! All the canyons are gorgeous. Love your channel!!!!
I will hit you folks up in the fall of 2022. This is when my wife and I will start RV'ing 1/4 time to start out.
You guys are so awesome ! My wife and I recently stay in downtown Sedona because we had never been to AZ before and did not know any better.
We had fun certainly, however your place is freaking Amazing, thanks for the video.
I liked the walking through the campsite. Got to see some of the other kind of rigs that people had.
LOL
Can't wait to see where your next adventure takes you!
Staying here now! Windy but enjoying the views
Love Sedona..i normally stay at Verde River Resort & Cottages. I may try this one next time
What do you do there all day?
Hi
Great price. Love the area.
Great video. Yes I'd stay there. Thats a great rate!
Had the pleasure of living near bell rock in oak creek /Sedona for 2 years. We just bought a trailer and will be planning to full time in south west this year
Wow!! That’s a terrific place!!
Well have to check that park out - we don't like the Thousand Trails park that much there. Another great park in the area with some nice views is Rain Spirit RV park.
Yes, actually we stayed at Rain Spirit a few years ago...the one that has a view of Tuzigoot!
💜💜💜 Ronald McDonald - love it! Thanks for sharing your journey. Easy watching and enjoyable
Nice view, I guess, but geez...not a scrap of shade..and you say hella windy? Eh...not my kind of place at all. :-| Although--about $200 less than my current mortgage payment...but with hookups extra... hmmm... nah, I think I'd have to go mountains and trees tribe on this one. ;-)
Is there bathroom hookup or a dumping site
If I were traveling, yes I would definitely stay there. I remember my cross country drive, through the snowy Arizona mountains. Freaked me out, because all I had ever known of Arizona was the heat.
Sedona is super beautiful and the view is peaceful...Love it❤❤❤
Great video. We would stay there.
I've winters at TT Mesa Spirit Rv Resort! Wonderful place!! I was going to go to Verde Valley TT when it started getting hot but something told me to tour the park~very disappointed! Canceled my reservation! Happy trails you two.....
We would camp there. I can imagine how the wind blows through up there.
As always, thanks for the great info. 💕
Hi! I would definitely stay there! The price is darn good and the views are amazing!!!
Yes! Thumbs up 👍! Looks like a wonderful place to stay!!!! 💕.
Once the boarders open I would stay there. Great vid guys keep it up
The price is good and scenery is really nice but I would like a little more privacy.
Amazing the difference between this years. And your last years long stay spot.
Will you be going back to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg anytime soon?
Great video 😊
How long of a stay do they allow.
Awww I spy our rig in some of your drone shots!
It was a nice park.
wow that is a great rate. I feel the solar investment is well worth it the long run
What a view.
Sounds like a great campground!!
I would love to camp foe 4$75-650 a month there
That's a great area, and an awesome looking park! We just left Zane Grey RV Park in Camp Verde a couple of weeks ago, and loved it out there!
Cheri looks more gorgeous every video ❤️😍
👍is there off roading there with no regulations?
Safe Travels!
Yes I would
what is the name of this rv park in which city thanks
Is there a pool or a lake nearby
Great information
Wish we could get a rate like that in CA!!😕
Pretty sure the only thing that Spring brings here in Arizona is... WIND! Which doesn't help the allergies at ALL! Beautiful area tho - loved the drone shots!
👋🏻Florida ☀️🌴🇺🇸
Where abouts in Florida, is a good spot, for the winter months???
We live in Phoenix and the wind this year has been awful. Very unusual.
You picked the perfect spot to stay
Cool
Beautiful territory 🤙

Howling?
@@bevtrue6937 Thanks, yes.
@@martyh4777 Eeuuww, that must be very annoying.
Dat looks so cool
Looks like a great place - added it to our " stay here" list. Question about the electric: is it metered at each site or is a set additional charge? THX and have a great day!!
EDIT - found info on their website about electric prices and pictures of the posts with meters. New question: are locations with metered electric becoming more prevalent?
The only thing I didn't like about that area was the wind! My wife and I were there for a week and absolutely brutal
Whats name of free RV Resort
I remember when that park was proposed and then built
Hey. We locals only have 1 Walmart in town. So please- buy your stuff in the bigger cities so you don’t wipe out the locals! ETA- I mean before you get here, once your here, it is what it is.
