    Very cool that you were able to meet the cheap engineer and get his signature. You could always focus on the exhaust header, cooling and heat management upgrades to improve the car while keeping the STi racing spirit.

    I was able to visit STi Mitaka Gallery in 2018. Great rally cars on display, along with the mint 22B. Fantastic that you met the engineer and he signed your trim piece. I guess you can place a PPF wrap to preserve the signature

      I loved how accommodating and respectful everyone was, and the dealership experience downstairs was exceptional. It really reinforced why I enjoy the Subaru platform, I just wish the same could be said about Subaru of America..

      @@TheLastS209 So incredibly true about SOA. I had the pleasure of working for a dealer in the 90s and early 2000s and we worked with fixed operations at SOA on a few projects we had at the time and spent a day or two with an engineer that was interested in what we were doing. It didn’t take long to realize SOA and SOJ did things… differently(though, the guys we dealt with at SOA were quite helpful). I’m still surprised the US got the S209 to be honest.

    Another great video!
    Your approach to this car is very JDM-like in that their culture is so vastly different than that of the us car culture. So refreshing to see.
    I would love to see an HKS Exhaust manifold on this, only because that is one of the few things that still screams “US Market” on your car and because it improves on multiple layers.
    One of our cars has the HKS exhaust manifold and another one has the Killer B. I would buy three HKS ones before I bought another Killer B. The HKS is patterned after the OEM twin scroll, and it sounds wonderful (if that matters) and comes with a heat shield to help with heat on the right head. About 4 years of daily driving in the north east year round and no issues. The Killer B, regardless of it’s quality which is likely second to none, has the dumbest placement of the O2 sensor that puts it on the inside of the manifold and forces you to stretch the sensors wiring rendering the factory clips that keep the wiring tidy, useless. Or buy a harness extender. For the price of the manifold, either is unacceptable to me. This is on a GD mind you, your harness may differ. The KB doesn’t have that typical JDM EJ20 sound either, again, if that matters.
    Always looking forward to your next video.👍🏼

      Thanks for your comment! I am considering the hks elh, but really focusing on improving suspension, brakes, and wheel/tire setup for more overall grip for next season.

      @@TheLastS209 Totally understandable! However, the weight reduction you would get from the front end(in front of the front axles) by going with the ELH would also help with your suspension and braking! 😉

    I'm in full agreement with you on not making more power with the STI motor. I have a completely stock 2020 STI and I will never do any power mods. It's my daily Bluebaru STI and I love him. A great video. I wish I had an S209 but I'm very happy with 2020 STI.

    Great video and I definitely agree on keeping the engine stock I hope I can get an opportunity like that

      Completely agree! This car is already well setup in stock form, and needs minimal work. Thanks for the comment! Don't forget to like and subscribe to support the channel.

    Just subscribed! Your S209 build is great and getting that trim piece signed is super dope. I have a ‘21 STI that I want to focus on handling better in the canyons/track. I’ve been looking for someone who’s build is also focused more on this aspect. Which state are you from? If close by, would you mind collaborating on a canyon run or track day? Would be great to see how an S209 drives🔥

    I agree the 19 BBS Wheels are nice but 18s have more choices of tires. I have the Series White and it came with the same BBS in Bronze. Nice looking but 18s would be lighter and tires choices open up.
    Keep up the great work on the S209.

    It doesn't necessarily need more power but better response would benefit you on the track. All this car needs is a turbo back exhaust, injectors, and a good tune. Honestly its almost perfect from the factory and all it needs is a aftermarket downpipe

    • @TheLastS209
      @TheLastS209  ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed. Power wise the car has all that it needs, but I think it could still have some improvements in handling. The handling capabilities are too safe and it comes with understeer which can be eliminated by swapping out certain suspension components

    I think the power you have is perfect, maybe just Improve the handling. With better suspension, brushing, control arm, and etc. I see a lot of modified car at the end they want to go back to oem+.

    • @TheLastS209
      @TheLastS209  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah exactly, I'm even debating going back to stock tune because the balance was so perfect. I think in the future I might have to swap out suspension to improve handling and dial in the alignment perfectly. Thanks for watching!

      @@TheLastS209yeah and especially you have the s209 with 350hp. I just picked up an RA and thinking about getting the podium seats. All your videos are very helpful and I am very appreciate it.

      @@TheLastS209yes, I feel the same way. the factory alignment is very safe. I am thinking about getting more camber at the front and a better alignment.

      Approaching 20k. It's been well worth it and can't wait for its transformation next season!
