Good 👍 video. My finickiness would not allow me to tolerate the minor out of tolerances that you can live with. That is not a dig sincerely. If you are happy that is what counts. The exposed tape edges would also drive me nuts. Just only using tape is my personal red line. The actual S209 kit uses pins and tape combined. Someone on another channel snagged a kit before Subura squashed non S209 owners from buying S209 specialty parts. Being a genuine JDM STI part the superior connection style is understandable. I can understand why you did not video the hole cutting of the rear bumper cover. Hole cutting is a nerve-wracking process. I experienced that myself when I drilled holes through the front fender to make the fender garnish vents functional. Modifying the fender garnishes as Subaru calls them was a breeze in comparison. Funny enough I bought the RA bumper cover which is the S209 bumper cover as I wanted plastic grilles versus metal. Nice connection job for the metal grille by the way. Curious to see how the kit ages. I personally have never had good luck with two-sided tape and exterior accessories. And I used the adhesion promotor. Both installations lifted and failed. One quite dramatically. A touchless car wash was a death sentence for a vortex generator. Fine through the car wash but 50 miles down the highway travelling 70 mph it delaminated. Made one hell of a racket flopping around. 🤣🤣 Wish you better luck 🍀.
Yeah I don’t really have a concern for it. It was installed well and it’s always garage kept etc. I see it as just an extra body molding which most cars have in some form or fashion
Lets just say street inspired sometimes is not the best at installing stuff.. like painting them AFTER installing them on the car resulting in a paint drip at one spot and having to wrap the ENTIRE car before painting💀
@@Franknorm1337 I wrapped my fenders with Xpel clear paint protection film and installed the s209 flares onto the clear bra film. I am pretty confident that the flares won't damage my paint with the clear film on.
I also feel like it damaged his car ( I love his videos so nothing against him ) But he said he took them off several times. I think the crease in his fenders was from the car being too low and constantly hitting the flare, which in turn pressed into his body. I feel like this with a stock height vehicle would look mean and be fine.
Really nice. I had originally bought a kit that was unpainted to save costs but the cheapest body shop I found was quoting me 700$+ to color match it so I sold that and bought the painted version and it’s spot on. I have color match issues with my vents but the kit itself is nice

Amazing. Great job. You should watch Street Inspired video on his S209 flare kit. They damaged his vehicle pretty bad after long term 😞.

Great video! Car looks amazing 🔥
Looks good! Congrats
Contemplating this kit for my 18 RA. How is the color match in person?

Do you have wheel spacers, if not does the gap look bad after adding the kit?
Yes I have 20mm Perrin spacers and my wheels have a offset of 43. Would look bad without spacers in my opinion
Could you 3d scan the pieces for me
What spray did you use?
Isopropyl alcohol to clean the surface
Any rubbing issues? Coils or stock suspension?
No rubbing. Stock suspension for the time being
