Excellent information! I'm a big fan of dry hatch, I've always just gotten much better results if I wait until lockdown to raise the humidity.

The reason the thermometer temp is sometimes recommended to be slightly higher than 99.5°F is because the centre of the egg needs to be at 99.5°F (37.5 C)..... and still air incubators have slightly different temps in different height levels of the incubator.

I am so mad I didn't research this methode before. We started with our first row of incubating. From 12 only 2 hatched amd 2 died before hatching. A very low rate and discouraging. We ordered another bunch of eggs and did the ae thing amd now I think it was due to the high humidity. We have 2 incubators but can't really fix the humidity. We are also not at home all the time because of working. My second bunch is 11 days old. I want to make the switch if possible now before the majority of my chicks dies. Is it possible?

I am about to go into lock down tonight on the next batch. So we will see if this hatch rate is better. I will release that video next week.

This post may be of help to a lot of people. I wish I could tell you in plain English about my eBooks but (yt) or (the powers that be) would delete this post if I did. So as you read this you Can do a bit of detective work to find them. (March 2023) I got a Little Giant Incubator and thought I’d give it a go. We already have chickens but they are getting old now and so we thought to hatch some new ones. More about the Incubator: I only got the incubator and the egg turner as there was No fan kit available to go with it where I bought it. I also got a cheaper Thermometer than the Little Giant brand and That Was A Mistake! I couldn’t read it well through the windows! I went back and got the Little Giant brand Thermometer, and that one is EASY to see! I don’t have money for one of these fancy remote control Thermometers that you can read outside the unit, but I’ll make do just fine without. After working with the system for a good long time, I finally got it right. I found that at a setting on the Instrument Panel of 105.8, [over time] I got a steady reading from the Thermometer (at egg level) of 99.5, I also have 1 red plug pulled out by the Instrument Panel. As AmeriKa crumbles, and with, “The Deliberate Poisoning of Earth,” it’s more important than ever, right NOW, to get your own food supply. And then when you have your own food supply, You have to Protect it! And just like, “The Problem Eliminators,” You have to find ways to see to your own family’s safety! After all the destruction that is yet to come upon earth because of the Wickedness of some, we will have a New Civilization to build! And we together Can and Will make it even better than “The First Civilization of Earth,” ever was. So just utilize my name and some of these Titles to find me and my writings which can also help you to find some Sanity in our current world that has gone mad. My Fellow Americans, Take Care!

Considering the short life cycle of these animals do you not think it would be best to breed for hyperthermic resistance? Because surely by doing so you are actually inproving their success rate. Breeding for physical traits has been done already I'm mean christ look at pugs ffs. Maybe do something different. Kmt
