When I started to understand the game, the more I started to like it.
I dont get people saying the NPCs are garbage? Yes their quests are vague and convoluted and you can easily fail them without knowing but thats exactly what theyre like in every single souls game!
yeah, but some are especially weird. like Winterberry and Byron were the game basically baits you into failing.
@@Friekasoid I'm still thoroughly pissed about the elevator screwing me on that one. She's in this secret area that is surprisingly huge and very easily missable entirely.

"VIGOR" NOT VIRGO
There is a bug with the Blacksmith that I ran into where she moves to her location at the hub but the room doesn't change or update with her, causing her to not work as intended. Just relog your game fully and it will fix it. This may have been fixed in a recent patch but figured I would point it out anyways. Great vids as usual!
unless you are dual wielding, there is almost no reason to not use a shield (the only really being the weight limit). also, shields only upgrade to +5, but they will increase the dmg percentage they block by about 10%, unlike in Souls, where only the stability will increase.
also, the Umbral npc in the hub sells an item to see more of the red lanterns to get eyeballs for the shop. the shop for co-opers is in the basement, but anyone wondering where the shop for invaders is at? you find it later on after you beat a boss on a bridge, it’s fairly early, but still easy to miss, as you have to puzzle solve after the bridge boss.

I love the subtle, last minute dodge in this game. It's like it just lines me up perfectly to smash on them and it's less work that parrying or rolling around.

@@TheSchmogi just a dodge at the last minute, without any rolls or craziness. Like a soft dodge feels really intuitive.
You can soul flay the mask guys to open them up too.

Pretty sure some charge attacks have hyper armor… and there’s a poise increasing ring as well as a lamp slot that lets you take wither damage when charging a heavy
Despite the issues & performance woes ive been having a great time with this game & im glad im not the only one.. 28 hrs in & ive been really enjoying this soulslike game.. i made a Blasphemous build (Radiant/strength) with the grand sword Bloody Glory with buffing spells like radiance or laceration blood buff.. made my character to resemble The pentinent one as much as possible!
NG+ is still the worst thing about this game, besides the lag and stuttering on Xbox for me. I powered through this game through leaking textures, crashes and restarts just to be greeted in NG+ with zero vestiges.

yah I don't understand their decision. apparently they meant for the whole game to be like that but changed it and made only ng+ like that. its neat to think hardcore audiences will like it but reality is most people still want convenience and QoL in their "hard game".
@@PWARGaming I did thinks like no bonfire/death in DS2, and I don't want this. Its a mandatory punishment, I wouldn't mind if you could toggle it like a hardcore character with unique rewards.
@@PWARGamingSekiro had bonfires right outside boss doors and they were a god send. I want to struggle learning a boss fight, not pull my hair out dealing with tedious bs
@@PWARGaming It doesn't actually make it much more challenging, mostly just extremely tedious turning the Souls bonfire system into the typewriter/ ribbon system of a 1990 Resident Evil game. Not a fan at all and find it stifling regarding exploration, one of my favorite aspects of a well designed world with interlocking areas. I'm not doing NG+ until this is changed. I'm just starting a new character to play through it again.

One thing i've been wondering is if spellpower affect weapon buffs like in DS3 or if the buffs are always the same % no matter what the spellpower is?
Smite procs will break enemies for the riposte, can't remember if that was in the build video.
This game is so tight, so many of the mechanics are things ive wanted from to implement in there games for years

My plucked eyeball shop is different, no scourings and skeleton armour is split into different tiers rather than all in 3rd, also i get 150 for avenging

I always the lamp eye challenge if available and I am not actively doing hard new area. But there has been nothing to buy there in the shop that interest me. so I dunno.

Here's a tip: Don't go into NG+ it removes all vestiges and makes you rely on seeds.

I upgraded my weapon to max and gave the smith 2 runes already and I still can only slot 1 rune to weapons. Anybody knows what I’m missing ?

I've done every lamp I've seen and it's still too low just like the rest of the drop rates in this game. I just stopped killing things that killed other players because it wasn't worth my time anymore. Wait NG+ has no vestiges? Yup, just killed my NG+ desires. Guess I'll just play it three times on normal mode lol. Really sucks.

The game disabling bonfires/lanterns in ng+ is total BS.
I don't want nor need an extra challenge or the boredom of having to rush the locations every single time I die.
Hopefully the devs will change it, just add the option under "gameplay" tab.
I did not know you can kill the fake item/mimic creatures. Now i have to go through every area again. I am almost done with the game.

In the “pause” menu there’s a tab all the way at the end that is purely armor tinctures. You can do it for each piece individually

Oh you can buy an infinite amount of them from the Umbral vendor in skyrest, he sells em for 8k vigor a pop. So you gotta farm a good chunk for em, but there's no limit to how many he sells.

No checkpoints in new game plus? Is that a fucking joke? What the hell were these developers thinking? Who thought that was a good idea? One of the most terrible decisions I’ve ever seen in a video game. Hopefully this is fixed. Will not be touching new game plus until it is. They’ve effectively removed all of the replayability from this game with one terrible decision. I simply cannot comprehend how stupid of a decision it is.
hey psa and hidden tip you all didnt know in new game plus you only have the main hub and no other bonefires and i dont belive you can fast travel between your seed and the main hub so i dont recomend new game plus.

Damn shame this game was overshadowed by a femboy game, LOL all jokes aside I've heard the Lies of P is an amazing game and hell of a lot better than this game and I haven't even played it yet but this one I'm currently playing and I must say I'm loving it so far and an aesthetic and a medieval dark fantasy enjoyer, I've chosen this game because of the setting, the drip of the armor sets and weapon designs..
LoP is definitely a good one, more so because its just fine crafted better with performance, sound effects, animations, etc. gameplay wise it'll be more subjective, but it can definitely be a challenging game if thats your driving factor in souls games. recommend it! armor and weapon designs in LOTF were definitely sweeter than LoP!

But I guess, if you mean no one except the first cares about the one being first, you might be right for most of any competitive things actually. (Not that the TH-cam comment section qualifies as a competitive thing per se)
Though, pretty much always there is someone who didn't become first caring that they haven't been.
In that sense: Don't fret, your time will come eventually.
Just sucks almost no way to platinum this game with those "collect ALL weapons and Armor" BS ones with sets being locked behind the Eyeballs and PvP. Having to hope Other players do something to earn stuff is stupid especially since this games is going to be dead in a few more weeks, cus there is no fixing the netcode its hard coded into the game. At least you could farm covent items or go to a new game cycle to earn the stupid pvp crap in Darksouls games. I wish these souls copycats would just innovate and stop trying to imitate so damn much.
