Not a lot of youtube videos are worth 25 minutes these days, but this was definitely was. A trip to be added to any enthusiast's bucket list without a doubt. Good job @MCN
I travelled in Sweden, Norway and Danmark with my Street triple 675 in 2016, and I really loved the bike.... Because I commute about 150 km's a day (kilometers, because I'm from Belgium :-)) I bought me a Tiger 800 in march 2017. By now (8 months later) I did about 20.000 km's, and also took a 4000km - trip through the Alps. And how much I love the Tiger.... I still miss the Street triple. I tested the new 765RS a few months ago, and I immediately remembered the reason why I started, and still love, riding a bike.... I know the tiger is perfect for commuting (especially in the winter), but I can't get over the street triple.... what a dilemma! I really don't want to buy 2 bikes.By the way, I really loved the review, watched it 2 times ! :-)
Just done a trip all the way round Spain on my street triple RS with 3 other mates and apart from a 3 day stay at Benidorm we headed for mountain areas to camp, it was by far the best bike trip I have ever done in my 39 years of motorcycling, great roads, views, weather and of course a superb piece of machinery to ride it on, we covered almost 3000 miles. You are right about the wind blast but we stuck to the speed limits anyway, perhaps when more aftermarket parts become available I will get a taller screen. Excellent video and thanks for posting it. Stephen Latchford
I was so infatuated with the bike and the stunning scenery that I'd genuinely forgotten that I'd been watching a review update! Brilliant, mate! Seriously incredible.
My RS in 4500km: -Slight coolant leagage (bolts not tightened to 10Nm...) -"Check engine light" (oxidation on the brake light connector under the fuel tank) -Clutch lever adjuster spring lost its tension, saw the adjusted wheel turn by the wind blast while on the Autobahn. -Clutch lever didn't fully return to resting position. It grinded a little against the housing, the debris that came off made the action move heavily. All quickly fixed (even while on vacation in Germany) while I had a drink at the dealership. And still ... absolutely LOVE that bike :D
Idk what it is about Joe, but I love watching his reviews. He just seems to genuinely love riding and comes off as just a normal guy you would run into on the street. Hope to see more from him.
its refreshing to see a bike reviewer take some time and pride in their work and show us the full capabilities of a bike. I just bought this bike from watching this video, thanks a lot man if your ever down in wales ill show you some roads to ride. Good work mate.
Fantastic video. The way you tell it is spot on, have a Street Triple R myself but this thing looks incredible!! Thanks for the video and the efforts you all put into it!
Or we don't want to watch this guy complaining about rain for 5 minutes in a supermarket or wait 8 minutes for video footage of the bike which we came here to see. What an idiotic comment.
Just who is this guy.?? What an amazing review of the roads and the machine. Amazing scenery and a super story. I've just watched this from end to end an all I wanna do now is book some transport and go do it myself. Keep up the fantastic work,, motorcycling at its best..
As a Triumph lover, I've owned a Triumph Explorer, a Tiger 1050 and a Speed Triple R. I've never been a fan of the Street Triple's looks to be honest but have to say this is probably the best looking so far, and it sounds fantastic! Good video, a little different from the usual stuff that's out there.
At 9:50 ... It looked like the 'wall' of game of thrones! And there was the dragon with triumph branding standing....! One of the best mcn reviews till date and best of the street 765....
A few years back, my friend and I rode to Colorado, we got up to 12,000 ft. (about 3650 m. to you) and I have an 08 Bonneville America, last year carbureted. It was very sluggish, but nothing a downshift couldn't cure. Had to adjust the idle at elevation. Ran like a champ otherwise. Love Triumph's, still have it with 69,000 mi.on the clock.
At the end, when you were talking about the wind buffering at 75/80, are you talking kph, or mph? I'm really interested in getting one, and love hearing from everyday people about their experiences. ...thanks.
iv done the alpes in 2015, Val d'isère and Italy border, it's awesome place, you are welcoming the summers with other motorcyclist and it's cheap to stay there. In 2016 i did the picos de europa in spain, amazing roads, good temperature and good, scenery, more unknow than alpes but still enjoyable, better for roads quality in my opinion
Little curiosity: the road at the colle del Nivolet is supposed ti take you into nature - that Is the whole point of the road. Anyway I've been there last August with the 2020 RS and I loved every Moment of that trip. Cheers :)
Nothing stopping you Mathieu! I literally packed some panniers and went, as you can see. No real forethought in it other than going to look for some great riding roads. :) - Joe
Wauw guys...really amazing movie and great story about going out there and seeking the adventure. Also real nice to share such adventure with an old friend. I went for a little adventure myself yesterday after work where i decided to go on the search for some new roads only to find myself on a familiar road a little later. I live in The Hague and decided to go South along the shoreline towards Hoek van Holland. As a kid I would take the ferry from Hoek van Holland to harwich to visit family for Christmas. And without knowing where I was really heading I found myself driving on the exact same road (dike to be precise) that I had been on so many times heading towards of from the ferry... pretty special. After which I found some lovely b roads with some big roundabouts for some cornering action as far as that goes on a roundabout. Would love some more video's like this one in the near future! All the best!
Awesome job, excellent video you've really stepped up the game for MCN. Look forward to your next one, you've also sold me a set of tyres for my Daytona 675 I'm going to tour the South Island of NZ this Summer. Cheers
What an amazing review. The best review ever. Keep it up. And please can anyone name the tracks used in this video. Keep it up MCN. This guy is perfect for this job. BTW sick bike, sick shots.✌️👍
Excellent work, Joe! Thoroughly enjoyed the video and the report on MCN, would you guys mind sharing your route map somewhere? Now I just have to find out how to ship my 765 RS across the pond from West Coast US to Europe, lol...
american rider here, last week i rode 1200 miles to the tail of the dragon in north carolina it rained the whole way there, it rained while we where there, rode the dragon 3 times in the rain, how do you make an epic trip and then not ride the roads you came to ride because of bad weather, i did it on a 2013 striple with no ride modes or traction control, 2500 miles in 6 days....
Hey. Turns out this road is the Nivolet Pass in Italy. Didn’t know it at the time. Just knew it as strava provinciale 50. My mate was in his car who helped carting the tent and chair around :)
It sure was a nice way to get somewhere near your destination without the discomfort and fatigue that's for sure. It worked a dream for me. - Joe www.bikeshuttle.co.uk
Does make me laugh seeing all those GSs on bike shuttle. I tour on a Daytona 675R. Sure it's not for everyone, in fact after 15 years touring on sports bikes it's not for me for much longer., changing this year. But once you're on the good roads, being on a sporty bike makes it worth it! But surely the point of a 1200GS is you can get there easily? If your going to get your bike shipped there, ride something more fun for when you're there... I guess you don't have a global explorer 'image' then though.
I hear that ya liked the diablo rosso tires, I do too, but have you tried the Dunlop Roadsmarts? If so what did you think? When I was running roadsmart on my old mk1 bandit they worked flawlessly even on track, especially when it was wet/wettish. But the rosso tires felt more like its big brothers to me when I pegged to the max. Although it was on a rvf400 though so no direct 1:1 comparison. But my all time fav tires must be Dunlop sportmax 1 rear tire(more racy than second gen which I was disappointed with) and sportmax2 tire at front becasue of the pointy profile at front, I never liked any pirelli tires on my d675 as they felt to slippery on wet surface compared to dunlops. But yeah on track pirellis rocked. Nice feeling you got there in this long term update video :)
Not a lot of youtube videos are worth 25 minutes these days, but this was definitely was. A trip to be added to any enthusiast's bucket list without a doubt. Good job @MCN
So this is how it feels when you see your dreams being lived by other person on video
100%. was at st Bernards pass a few years ago and was dreaming of riding there

This guy is obviously very passionate about what he does. What a great asset to MCN. More from this guy please MCN he's absolutely nailed it.
hey mcn, more of this guy please ;)
this is one of my favorite videos on youtube

Seriously incredible.
How can anyone thumbs down this....you've got to feel sad for their state of mind

I've never considered a 765RS but this video...really makes you wanting one...
This is the kind of motorcycle video that makes us wanna go out and ride.
Idk what it is about Joe, but I love watching his reviews. He just seems to genuinely love riding and comes off as just a normal guy you would run into on the street. Hope to see more from him.
By far one of my favourite MCN videos. This guy is amazing!!!
This was great! Roads, bike, rider and a story to tell. Your staff photographer is actually a good writer.
that bikeshuttle service is absolutly amazing!! Wish we had something like that in germany...
I’ve just been and put a deposit down on a 765 RS, had a long test ride today, it was awesome easily the best bike I have ridden!
its refreshing to see a bike reviewer take some time and pride in their work and show us the full capabilities of a bike. I just bought this bike from watching this video, thanks a lot man if your ever down in wales ill show you some roads to ride. Good work mate.
Simply awesome vid! Combination of a motorcycle, a competent photographer and such scenic road - cannot get anything better than that!
Watching this video is like doing meditation. Great job 👍
when I told my friend I can't go on any long trips on my striple cause of the wind he showed me this lol
Epic shots great framing
Fantastic video. The way you tell it is spot on, have a Street Triple R myself but this thing looks incredible!! Thanks for the video and the efforts you all put into it!
@8:53 one of the best captures I've seen of the this sweet triple
That was a brilliant watch. Thanks for the entertainment. Top quality!
Bravo! Collecting my 2018 RS once lock down is over.....can’t wait 😎
Fantastic film. Loved every minute.
What an awesome video! Those viewers who gave this a thumbs down have obviously got no soul!

That's an awesome motorcycle transport service!
That was a pleasure to watch.

I really enjoyed that, thank you.
Bellissimo! Love the video mate. Excellent job

Wow what a nice trip! Wish I could do that with my RS. What a bike though! Thanks for this one. It was awesome. Cheers!!

Brilliant! Keep it up.

All the best!
Finally, MCN did a property TH-cam video and not another Child & Neves video! Congrats for growing up.
Wow, amazing quality footage there even on TH-cam! Enjoyed watching that
There is a lot of twisty roads in this video.
May be you can recommend 5 of them what should I take this year?
Great vlog, great photography/videography. You should do more. Well done.
loved this video! i Just had a RS for the weekend, absolutely loved the bike!
The filming of these videos and video quality is fantastic these guys have really come up Trumps in the last while this way
What an amazing video! Fantastic filming and Joe is very interesting. That moment at 14:05 made me pucker though!
CBRboy1717 Me too. Fuck that. 😂
Amazing....
Simply brill vid. More please!
Triumph should pay you commission for this. Probably sold a couple of bikes over this vid. Great report
The thinking man's Richard Hammond...
200 miles on a striple is that the norm??
First MCN video I've seen in a long time that was worth watching, give this man a pay rise! 👍
Brilliant video Joe
Fantastic video!
You’re making me think about re-planning my trip.
The bike is drool worthy.
Definitely a Jizz Machine. 👌🏻
Lovely looking bike

Nice piece of film.👍 really enjoyed it 👌
awesome experience. aren't the leathers a bit of an overkill though?
Cracking vid 👌🏻 Looked like an epic trip
Wow.. I really need to go do a european trip next biking season. Got a Suzuki GSX 1250FA. The Triumph will be my next bike.
I use the same leathers. 👍 Only difference is that mine are covered in Swedish midges, dragon-flies and other bugs. 😅
Thanks for this video. I love you!
Wow, that video was mindblowing! =) I would also like to see a video where you go through the accessories as well.
Great video. I really like this type of format for an update
eview. In fact, the update you posted on this bike last month inspired me to buy one.
I own an RS too it's an amazing bike, nice video !

Hi Joe
Amazing trip!
What panniers were you using? I am looking at getting some for my RS
Hey! Would you recommend an exhaust swap? If so, which one, arrow US, arrow EU or Yoshimura?

Great video!!👌👌
Great video and great style.. Like watching a mate
Thanks Dermont. :)
