In the mid-1950s, there began a new era in which African Americans began to migrate to Ghana as a result of its independence. African Americans, especially civil rights activists such as W. E. B. Du Bois and Julian Bond, went to Ghana to aid the country's development and escape the racism of the United States.
Most people in America who are moving to Ghana have mentioned moving to Ghana and other parts of Africa for safety and racial equality. I have shared the stories of several people in the diaspora (especially America) relocating to Ghana, mostly couples. I have not shared the story of too many single women.
In this video, I share the story of Dellasie who moved from New York in America to Ghana right before the year of return. She has started a business in Ghana, and is also running an NGO to support young people in Ghana. She lives in a stunning home within Accra Ghana, we get to tour parts of her home as well as get to know her in this video.

My name is Jasmine and I have relocated from Sydney Australia to Ghana in west Africa as of the year 2020.
My parents are of Ghanaian descent and so am I although I was born in Australia. Here on my channel, my goal is to give you a real glimpse into what it’s like to live in Ghana and other parts of Africa, from the food, to the culture, to the lifestyle and everything in between. My goal is to satisfy your curiosity about Ghana and other African countries.
My prayer is that these videos do just that for several African’s in the diaspora.
Follow your bliss because life is short, follow your bliss because human life has no intrinsic value, follow your bliss because everything happens for the greater good and follow your bliss because it has all happened before.
I love seeing a house that has a garden and a big yard and not all outside spaces tiled over
Same 🥰
Agreed ♥️
Lesson learnt " I am not going to be weakened by my environment". Well SAID 🌍👊🙂
Great to see a home with lots of greenery.
Nuff respect
Bless up 🙏🙏❤️
Beautiful is why I come to this channel. The intelligence is why I stay.
Appreciate that 🙏🏾🥰
Can she give us a plant tour? I’m just in love with all the plants around her home.

D you took the risk, and you are doing the dam thing. Keep shining, Queen. Great interview Jasmine.🎉
Interesting young woman. Keep pushing forward.
Dellasie knows what she wants out of life, smart, articulate, beautiful queen with a home that has a very nice garden.
Great stuff.. I met her late uncle a couple of time in the UK and this video brings back many memories. Thanks
Aw Thats nice x
Congrats to her. Theres so many talented Ghanaians and I know so many people who prefer to work with their own people than depend on Asians to create or manufacturer products for their business whether its art or clothing or whatever. Glad there are more resources available now for them to do that.
Jasmine! Fantastic woman-GREAT INTERVIEW! Yeah!
Thanks Howard x

Excellent interview as usual Jasmine, watching from Jamaica, love your content and you are a great interviewer.
Incredible landscaping.
I think so too
Such a great interview! Very informing and exciting
One thing i really like about you and your content is that you always allow your guests to talk without interrupting. Anyways, you guys are hard working ladies and I'm impress unlike some lazy ass girls out there looking for gold.
Great interview Jasmine
Thank u 🙏🏾 🥰
Well done to her determination .

Great interview and good insight into life ❤❤❤❤❤
Beautiful and Brains. God bless her.
Love the content
Jasmine good work keep it up ❤❤❤
Thanks Linda 🙏🏾🥰
Well done Dellasie.
I really love her energy, vibe and resilience. I am sorry about her loss and pray that God blesses her with someone so loving that she recovers and forgets about the pain of the past. As a Ghanaian educated in Germany and the USA, I really love how the west trains people to express themselves with so much confidence. She is great at that. Eii you girls can run your mouths oo!! Thats is the biggest limitation of the African child - timidity, modesty and bottled eloquence.
Great interview vid. Delassie is so vibrant and determined. She kinda looks like a slimmer Stella Shanelly but with a thick NY accent. LOL 😂😆🤣
Oh didn’t think about that
She have a beautiful house 😊
Love her! Brilliant mind with so much passion

Are there expats in Ghana who are not from African ancestry as digital nomads or retirees? What kind of visas are available in Ghana such as in Mexico or Panama? I would love to visit Ghana, but I hear it is ""too" hot and humid. Is that true, especially in Accra?
Yes a ton of expats in this category. I can’t say much about visas because i am not well versed in. Its hot in the dry season. November till February can be very hot. Around 33 to 37 degrees celsius
@@JasmineAmaa Oh my God. Why are the nicest countries nowadays burdened with such heat?! Is it 35 degrees plus humidity, bringing it up to 40?
I just received my passport, I want to move to Ghana, I will be coming as soon as I sell my house, I am sick of USA, will be looking for AirBnB, only need a couple of rooms with private bath, with WiFi, I heard u say, u were into AirBnb, would be interested in 3 to 6 mo rental,
Good luck. Moving there is on my wish list.
Umm, I supported a Ghanaian partner for many years in the kind of fucking circumstances that the richest nation on Earth can still browbeat me about, whilst simultaneously never growing up. You'll get there one day. But not today....
Is she a 2 gen immigrant yo america?
Skin bleaching is wild. Brothas n sistas minds have been poisoned. Sad
Eii Ama life paa nie 😅😅😅
🤣🤣
Try pairing your top with a white bottom. That will make a chic and posh look. Cotton African top with polyester leggings in hot and humid Ghana screams SWEAT..
That's your only take away from this lovely interview???...sad 😢
Maybe she's not sweating. Maybe people should be allowed to wear whatever THEY choose without some random person inserting their views and opinions??
If you're THAT shallow and superficial...go watch the Kardashians.🙄
Ohoooo please there is big man behind you 😂😂😂😂 ohoooo,
Enough with featuring all these singers, dancers, and social workers. The Chinese did not develop by singers and dancers. We need infrastructure builders. Science and Math brain who will help close the open gutters! Also stop repeating the same wode maya craft. Be creative
On her own channel?
What is wrong with you
Start your channel and show what u like to portray and stop your interference
Some of us like what she is doing
Minister of negative affairs
We don’t need to follow the Chinese. Africans and Blacks in general can come up culturally with their own concepts , concerns, solutions and successful ideas
Jasmine's doing tremendous work promoting Ghana with her TH-cam channel and content. What are you doing?
Wow her home is absolutely stunning!!
