Fraud: What a joke…Google/YT is dishonestly pushing Black videos down our throats. This black channel has 19k subscribers and its Pixel video has 20k views in 2 weeks, WHEREAS the Pixel review of FIVE WEEKS ago on the great JSL Reviews channel - with TWELVE TIMES (!) the subscribers (221k) - has barely any more views than this one.

Dozens of times per month, user searches Tech topc on YT and #1 search result offered (with milktoast view count) is from black creator.
This is NO judgment at all on the quality of your particular videos - but distorted search presentations - as described - are HAPPENING.

Got my Pixel Eight about a month now and NO issues to report - finger print reader works first time every time, memory holds true when switching apps, calls are so clear, very smooth everyday tasks- links to my PC for effortless file transfers so when am back in the office it's all their. I don't play games on this but lots of video instead and the screen is brilliant! This is my opinion and I think why go anywhere else when stock android is so good on this. ( I have a iPhone too for work but keep reaching for the Pixel because what is does it does so well).

I've used and recently sold the 8. Sometimes if you're trying to do multiple things especially like having maps open and using TH-cam music, the phone crawls. Can live with that. It sometimes heats up. Can live with that. Depending on update, battery can be awesome or crap. Can live with that. What I cannot live with is crappy cell signal. Sold. I'm a long term pixel user and now am looking forward to the iPhone 16.

As a phone nerd who switches between multiple android devices every few weeks or so (S24, Flip 5, S23 Ultra, and Pixel to name a few), I can honestly confirm that the Pixel 8 has stutters/jitters through every app - even Google's native apps. In addition, battery life also suffers unfortunately. It's a decent mid tier phone with amazing UI imo but like the creater said, its held back by sub par performance. Also, I can confirm it does overheat more than it should. Its that tensor chip...its just not close to Sammys Snapdragon. With all that said, my SIM card is currently in the pixel 8 and I still enjoy it even though it has its flaws. From its system UI to its notification sounds, it's still a clean and simple phone to use. The exterior design language is much better than any late Samsung model I've used.

Couldn't agree more. The one reason why I've had to sell my Pixel 8 is because of bad cell signal. Something 8 just can't live without. I could live with the slowness. But recently missed a very important call due to that shitty Exynoss 5300 modem. Not again.

I have a question about the stutters on scrolling. Does it also happen on pixel 8a knowing that they have the same chipset? Because I have actually read a lot about the stutters people said on the pixel 8 but haven't heard that much on pixel 8a (I am not so sure with the pixel 8 pro tho since I haven't really watched videos about it).

Thanks. This was an excellent review. Every time I think I may buy a Pixel I read a few reviews and there is just always something that steers me to something else. Still trying to decide on this phone. I really only want it for VIDEO and that's it. I probably will not even use the phone. It's just that there are so few options of a pocketable video camera at this price point. The POV Action Cams feel weird to me. So I am off to look at some video samples. I also do NOT believe the batter is going to last more than 2 to 3 years for my use. But how does one review the life of a battery?

The g3 is pathetically slow and hot compare to stuff like snap 8g2,dimen 9200, a16 and even the exynos 2400 from samsung, even if u compare with mid range chipset like dimen 8300, 7gen3,... they are somewhat on the same level with the pix8 or even surpass the pix, sure the chipset is not everything for a phone but it is a crucial aspect that many people will look at and skip this phone

Switched From 13 pro Max to pixel 6 pro 😢 greatest mistake ever...
Battery sucks - need to charge it 3 times a day on heavy usage.
Waiting for September to switch to 15 or 16 pro Max

It was Google first Tensor and very unoptimized. This year they will release Pixel 9 with a Tensor 4 and will be much better. Maybe try that if you want to keep Android

So what. I doesn't need super computer specs to do common things. Only if you do extensive gaming

@@MariusMerchiersI disagree with your statement. If this phone is going to have 7 years of updates it needs every bit of soc power it can get. If people are already complaining that it already stutters , that is not a good indicator of future performance.

    • @MariusMerchiers
      @MariusMerchiers 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@malekinceptionYes you're right. They should differentiate their socs a bit. The pro should have flagship level specs , the pixel 8 regular high mid and 8a midtier specs. Google should make improvements in the 7 years of updates so the tensor chip keeps an optimized performance. I bought a pixel 8 yesterday and I don't care about gaming. I care about a good working SMART phone, fast in use, good photos, no bloatware, decent battery and that is long supported

I had a Pixel 6. I liked it, but it was getting to the end of its useful life. I wanted to get a Pixel 9 Pro XL, but I settled for a Pixel 8 because it was a super deal. It sucks. It feels laggy, and the battery life is HORRIBLE. The Pixel 6 battery lasted a full day with intensive use. The 8 has about half the battery life.
The display is good, and. The camera is great, but the 6 was also perfectly fine. I thought if I got a phone 2 generations newer it would be better. Silly me. I wish i could return this POS, but I guess I'm stuck with it for 2 years.

Worse google pixel phone I have ever had..... Of course I have only had 2 and this 8 has convinced me to leave the pixel membership.....
It is slow, glitches hard to charge and basically does less than the Pixel 2...
I guess they made the best and it lasted to long so now they make crap....
    Goodbye Google and Verizon

I have this phone and it's atrocious.
For almost € 700,- basic functions are full of bugs.
    1) impossible to switch vibration on/off (you are forced to have vibration always on, then it always vibrates, also in non-vibration mode). If you DON'T agree to vibration always-on it completely malfunctions and literal vibration mode will turn into complete silent mode without a warning (no ringtone AND NO VIBRATION in vibration mode 🙃)
    2) impossible to put individual contacts on silent (you are forced to hear an annoying ringtone for any contact if you literally select "NO ringtone". The no-ringtone is a very annoying loud ringtone 🙃)
    3) impossible to have "read aloud" in background, even if you select "in background". You are forced to keep the text on the screen, but if I have to keep the text on the screen I don't need "read aloud", then I can as well just read it. Did I mention that "read aloud" was advertised 🙃
    4) phone never informed me for the security update. I didn't switch notification off, I didn't swipe and ignore notifications. Just never got a notification. I had to search the system menu by hand to realize a big update has been waiting to be downloaded/installed 🙃
    5) the phone is on the market for almost a year. None of the issues have been fixed. € 700,- and the claim to be a really SMART phone. It's atrocious. Don't buy until those bugs are fixed.
