    just come across your channel ,thanks to DP, just to say on leaving school I went to work in a garage, as we call them over here in the Uk, for 10 yrs , working on a mixture of cars,trucks tractors and farm machinery ,lots of things mechanical , also taught how to strip clean and reset injectors and phase and calibrate injector pumps , how to weld, all the things needed in a country garage. So I guess you can understand why I really enjoy these types of videos. I`ll certainly put you on my to watch list along with DP, Logger and Diesel Creek, oh! by the the way it`s now 23001.

    Good to see someone not going bonsai on tightening their hoses! I retired from a hydraulic shop in Rensselaer a couple of years ago, and replaced a lot of fittings and hoses over the last 20 years, from people thinking they have to use a 4ft cheater bar on them. Nice vid!

    that was great how you got the john deere {hitachi} going once again. It was great that it was something
    not severe that failed. Right now probably it would be difficult to obtain a hydrochloric pump or
    a rebuild kit for one. Having the proper tools make such a difference in being able to repair heavy equipment.
    you work as a great team, taking care of things as they are needed, getting the repairs done quickly and
    correctly. thank you for the great video and all the help you give to those you know.

Handles the old JD420c 6v, the Yanmar YFB-20 track dump 12v, and the Komatsu PC75uu-2 24v all in one nice unit! It weighs more than most of the roll around kind, more copper, bigger transformer, its a beast!

    If you don't mind, how do you set the clearance between the pump shaft and the crank shaft? I know that there must be clearance so the crank never shoves on the pump shaft.

    • @dirtgrainsteel
      @dirtgrainsteel  ปีที่แล้ว

      From what I understand with the pump side all the way on just so it's not touching the pump face like I had it there is still plenty of room so it's not pushing on the crank or on the pump by design
