She wants to run! Hopefully she will! 👍 Looking forward to the next video. Thanks for sharing, Wily!
Thanks and look video coming out in mid November on hanks channel
DON'T GIVE UP ON HER. SHE'LL RUN
You and Hank need to get a cordless grinder to make a spot for better grounds. What new video now. Haven't got it started yet. Would like to have it. Keep up the good work.
For sure
video on hanks channel coming out in a couple of weeks in it
Thanks for watching
Thanks for another great video Wiley and Jacob. It was interesting and enjoyable.
Hey you got it to turn over. That is a good step forward. I believe you said it had fuel so got to be close to running.
You and Hank can see if you can give it a go.
Then decide if one of you wants it or whatever. I agree with you Wiley it will take a heavy duty tractor or whatever to move it. Talking a lot of weight there.
Will be interesting what you and hank decide what to do with it. Sounds like it wants to run
Thanks Wiley and Jacob for everything. Good video. You take care and be safe.
Thanks Wiley.
The Iowa Farm Boy. Steve.
Thank you for sharing and watching
Allis Chalmers were heavy duty machines. I am glad you had this machine featured, my brother had an HD 11 and that thing was powerful. Always started. I’m sure you will get this going Wiley! 👍
Thanks for sharing
I think if someone took care of one it would last them a entire lifetime and probably there kids too
I have a 56 allis charmers hd6g that wasn’t really taken care of and still runs good😊
I had a 1954 Allis HD5G which was replaced by this HD6 The "G" at the end means it had a loader rather than a blade or no attachments at all. The Hd5s had a GMC 2-71 two-stroke diesel and about 52 HP. The HD 6 had the four cylinder Allis 4-strone and about 60 horse. My first piece of advice would be to just pull the pre-cleaner off the top of the intake for the oil-bath air cleaner itself. Get your ether spraying straight down. The GMCs were notorious for always needing a bit of starting fluid to get going and the Allis was much better, but still, as long as the engine is rolling over while you are spraying you are not gong to have a problem. You don't seem to be getting much if any smoke from unburned diesel so I am not sure you are getting the fuel to the degree you need. As far as I know, Allis's own diesels always used a distributor type injection pump and then nozzles in the head into the combustion chambers. They did not have unit injectors in the head operated by a camshaft as you would in a GMC diesel and, I think, some Macks and Cummins of that era. In its ag tractors, I think Allis always used Roosa-Master pumps. Yes, hand clutch is back to engage, forward to disengage. That was pretty much the standard. I think Cat's are the same.. The clutch in an HD5 was a Rockwell I think and is pretty simple mechanically, but it is the devil to change out a clutch without pulling the engine. You pretty much have to hang by your feet upside down to work on it. Most of them had a belly pan underneath to protect oil pan and other machinery when working over rock and it is a big job to get that off to get at stuff from below. The only think about the snap over-center clutches like this is to adjust the linkage so that once you have it pulled all the way back, there is a little play in the linkage. The handle should wiggle around a bit. If there is not a little play when you have it pulled back, then the pressure plate has not gone fully over center. The handle is still putting pressure on something and the pressure plate is not sully against the clutch disk. You will burn the linings on the disk pretty quickly. You don't have to adjust this often, for me maybe once every 500 hours or so. These were good little machines.

❤ thanks 👍 for the video 📸 guys 🎉...JJ .. Jonjon...😊
Thanks
DANG WILY I THOUGHT CHEW-WAS THE BOSS... KEEP PUSHIN' ON, BROTHER PEACE FROM CREEL...
Thanks for watching
Nice little tractor there willey. It seems as though it has stuck rings the smoke your getting means your getting fuel & the engine spins over a tad free like its got LOW COMPRESSION!!! Looking forward too seeing it start up good luck willey...
yes, possible stuck rings?
Thank you sharing and watching
You know what ??? It's so COOL to be Wily !!!! Love what you do mate. Take Care my friend !!!!!!!!!!! See Ya. 😄😄😄😄
Thanks for watching
keep chugging on it just needs a little t l c.good video wiley
Don't be Wally 🚜 God bless you'll brother 🙏🙏.
Thank you
Testicular fortitude is what is needed to move it 😈
HUEVOS... PEACE FROM CREEL CHIHUAHUA, MEXICO...
Lol
Thanks for watching
Just subscribed, old man. At ease. From Christmas Island.
Thank you. Merry Christmas
That dozer looks too be right up Matt's alley from Diesel Creek👍
Or Marty t
Hope you and Hank come back and get it going Wiley
In a couple of weeks on hanks channel
Thanks for watching
If you get it going make sure it has gear oil in the transmission it shares the oil with the rear end. That trans has a little rod that sticks out down there bottom right Conner when sitting in it right past the shifter with a rubber boot and when the rubber boot rots it looses its oil
Thanks for sharing
Excellent video Wiley :) think may dump 2 gallon fuel in also fuel filters too plus injectors to also check internet to help started up engine also think get close because smoke to on from manifold push out ! Think when Hank helping out it fire up and checking move too !
Video coming out in mid November on hanks channel
Thanks for watching
Nice old girl, just needs some tlc..
The tall leaver on the left as you're sitting on the seat is the engine clutch. The winch is shaft driven from the transmission.
Getting the engine running is probably the easy part, steering clutches could be a bear if they're rusted up.
Good luck..
Ck out Hamiltonvillefarm if you haven’t already. He dropped a video yesterday on it
You are right
That is a project that would be enjoyable right there.
That is an old dozer, looking forward to seeing it start Wiley 👍
We go back to it in hanks channel. Vid. Coming out in a couple of weeks
I'd rather watch Wiley's videos than hanks . At least Wiley's I don't fast forward to the end . Hanks is like here goes another lost hour of my life I can't get back lol .
Great work Wiley I enjoy your videos .
that long lever on the left as your sitting in the seat is the master clutch, you should move your shifter out of gear, and open up your throttle
Thanks for sharing
Not even hitting on ether rings might be stuck low compression.
Yes
Video coming out in a couple of weeks on hanks channel
Thanks for watching
wish it was closer, thats the size would be perfect for the folks ranch
I try to never miss an episode I do have an opposition for you You should carry two pairs of jumper cables cuz when you're in a situation like this to get the cables to the starter would be a lot easier if you're just checking the bump the engine over or to get it started.. before figuring out all the other broken stuff
Thank you
Sounds like very little compression...maybe 1 cylinder hitting.
I have had HD6B for 35 years...runs great and uou can hear each cylinder under compression when cranking it over. These machines always fire right up when maintained.
Great try great video thanks Wylie and Jacob
Thank you for watching
Wiley I don't know if you and Hank ever tried using regular gas soaked rag to start a diesel with before but I do know it works. It's a bit easier on initial start the ether and too if you ever have to fill fuel filters on a dry start use transmission oil instead of diesel to first start with it helps on compression and combust alot quicker than plain diesel. Give it a try let me know on video if it works out for you. God bless.
We have. Ck out the HD6 video on his channel
Wally, the way it is spinning over and sounds like low on compression. The rings could be collapse or value not seating good. Might could spray some marvel mystery oil down the intake while spinning over the engine need to spray not pour use old spray bottle
Thanks for sharing
The day that this video came out hank and i went to it and filmed. Watch for it on his channel in a couple of weeks
Take out the air filter its blocked - the Ether should make her go but if filter blocked it cannot get in. Then get a can of diesel and connect direct to filter.
Love them ole hd 6 s got started on one
Thanks for sharing
Ring my bell I wanna see you and Hank get this old heffer going
Its on his channel if you haven’t seen it
they had plants all over the place/ Harvey il and Laporte in
Great job Wiley good luck when you come back 😊 love your Channel !!!
Thanks. Watch for it in Hamiltonvillefarm in a couple weeks.
right and setting that many years awesome
Hey wily when you toke the power cable off the starter did it disabled the fuel pump
I don’t think so. It is a manual shut off
In a couple of week’s video coming out on hanks channel
Thanks for watching
We were you pushed is the master clutch you select a gear then you pulled a clutch it
I am going back and try to drive it out
the knob that is top left is the kill when you pull it out mine is a 1958 hd 6 allis
Thanks for sharing
Hay buddy's good luck be careful full
Thank you
My HD6B sat for 20 plus years. Surprisingly it started right up. I tried starting it after it it sat over the winter and couldn't start it. The Bosch fuel injector pump is apparently stuck because there is no fuel delivery coming out of the injector pump. Will have to take the injection pump head off for repair.
Thanks for sharing and watching
Compression sounds low check for a compression release
What I was thinking
what about lettin Matt at Diesel Creek know so hopefully it can be saved an sent down the line
Appreciate you sharing. Wiley can't wait to see you guys get this one started. Thanks, Wiley
Thank you
Glad to see you got someone to help you carry a battery. Hank didn't help much 😅 lol ..!!
Lol
Thanks for watching
When the put MMM in the intake the engine was temporarily locked and possible it hydralocked cause an intake valve is staying slightly open
It’ll probably fire up if you pull the breather cover off
Thanks for sharing and watching. You may be on to something
I you to own one a greed machine, 24 volts Jonson bar . the winch is very power full it will pick the entire machine
Wiley is going to drive that thing out of their
I swear Wiley gets mortally wounded on every project 😅!
Lol
I can see a brier and start bleeding
I guess Alis Chamers and International Harvester built this country
Caterpillar better than both
Thanks for sharing and watching
@@mariebennett5739don't belittle Allis Chalmers. Go back to it's history and learn this company s role in building our country.
Try 36 Volts. turn over the engine a bit faster and more compression heat, although the compression is very low.
I really thought about that but didn’t try it. Thanks for sharing
Glad to see the engine wasn't locked up 🙂👍 Hopefully you can get it running. Enjoyed the video Wily 🔧🔩
Have another video coming out on hanks channel mid November
Breathers stopped up. It aint gettin no either❤
Thanks for sharing and watching
the fuel shut off on some ac tractors are backwards to what people are used to, pull out to run push in to shut off
Thanks for sharing and watching
pulling that knob out kills it on mine and it is a 1964 hd6
When they build dams in quebec james bay progect allis-chalmers was very happy test hd-41 dozer on job site.they send lots loader, grader for test due cold weather.i was military 43 years ago they got couple hd-21 dozer with winch or ripper.kaider ressources test hd-41 at coal mines spardwood,bc.lots allis chalmers around in canada still running include hd-41.thank video.i hope somebody buys restore this dozer.😊
if it don't want to start with either then there's a problem and that's probably valves stuck..
Check out latest video on hamiltonvillefarm
Thanks for watching
Old girl sounds like it has valves stuck on at least 2 maybe 3 cylinders as easy as it's turning over....fuel problem on a Bosch psb4 pump could very well be the plunger seizes up and snaps after sitting a long time....when the plunger snaps you're dead in the water as they're no longer available available....then it's find another pump or at least a good hydraulic head and plunger off another pump...had lots of allis hd6 over the years....great little dozer
Thanks for sharing and watching
I had one of those with that same winch.. Good dozer and winch .. pull that center knob and let’s winch freewheel.. sold that dozer but sure wish I’d kept it only problem is finding parts .. but they was good Machines
I plan on keeping this machine
I would love to speak to you on this dozer sometime when we get it moved
Lift the blade with a chain hoist and pull it on the trailer with the winch.😊
Acts like its got a compression release pulled somewhere or a crap loadvof valves stuck
Great try. Puffs of smoke promising. If two batteries are good...wouldnt 3 batteries be better?? Good video.
No compression release on this 344 Buda engine.
What they did to the former owner, they will do to you. Stop helping the rich get richer and don't bother. It isnt worth it anymore. You wont get paid or it will cost you more,if you only do your projects.
Sounds like no compression or has a decompression lever
It acts like it hasn't gotten any compression
Listen to it crank over, No compression
Hamiltonvillefarm dropped a video on it yesterday if you have not seen it yet
Thanks for watching
I grew up on one of those, that is a bull grader for constructing things like tees and greens on golf courses look at the blade it is long and not that high unlike a bulldozer. It's for final grading
Wiley i would say maybe not enough fuel or there is an air restriction somewhere. Thanks to you and hank for the great videos and the awesome jokes.😒
Several of my neighbors have dozers that are broken down. They refuse to sell them, hanging on to their dreams. Will have to wait until one dies and the heirs will be happy to see it gone for free.
Thanks for sharing
Very old obsolete injection pump. At 15:35 that is the shut off. It is in the run position. Pull it out and it is shut off. I would put 12 volts to the solenoid and 24 volts to the starter to help with the low compression. It's got to run on ether or it's shot. Hold the throttle in wide open position while starting. Shoot the ether straight into the intake.
Thanks for sharing.
can’t wait to see it run
Thanks for watching. Video coming out mid November on hanks channel
You know Hank’ll drag the video out with some dead batteries. Lol
sounds like the compression release was open
Sounds like to me it has stuck intake valves
I don’t know about that but my IH tractor will not start if you have the throttle wide open
Funny the accents I got some tooo's in my tool box too , and yes please save this ol girl from the savage yard
Lol
Wiley you need to get lawn chair for hank get that for his Xmas present
Lol
Thanks for watching
Hey Wiley I wish I was Wiley having just retired if I lived near you mate I'd give you a hand bring my tools .Mate you need an angle grinder to clean a good Earth on this old iron😮😮😮😮 ,maybe Milwauke ,or Dewalt would enjoy the exposure you and Hank can give them 😊😊😊
Can't wait to see you guys get this old Dozer home .
Cheers Kym
Adelaide
That would be great. Thank you and thanks for watching.
Allis Chalmers used BUDA engines at one time..
That would be a cool old dozer to get going again. Nice job.
Look for a video mid November on hanks channel
Thanks for watching
We logged with one of these years ago. It was a heavy dozer. Put a lot of hrs in that seat.
Thanks for sharing
We go back to it
Hopefully it will move this time
Check fuel shut off pluunger
Great videos guys
Thanks so much!
There's a reason that thing was abandoned 25-30 years ago, it was worn out. Wiley, you're whipping a dead horse🥴
Lol. I hope not. Video on it coming out mid November on hanks channel. Thanks for watching
Great video I have one just like but mines a bit newer with a turbo. The throttle is wide open when you push forward idle is all the way back. Backwards from old international. Those hd6 will not start at idle unless its warm.
Push the throttle forward and either as cranking. Those are great dozers. If you want to sell it i may be interested.
Thanks for the video
Thanks for sharing and watching
Have another video coming out on dozer on hanks channel in mid nov
Carco winch Pacific car and foundry Renton Washington is where. Allis Chalmers had a deal with Pacific car and foundry so that is what you are going to see on most of the AC dozer.
Thanks for sharing and watching
Zero compression. Either it has a compression release stuck open or that engine is ROACHED.
Ck it out on Hamiltonvillefarm.
It does not sound like it has a lot of compression 😞
Skid steer does not have enough “giddy up”
Great video Wily,be waiting and watching you get this thing going...on that other guys channel...lol😅😅
Thanks 👍
My grandfather had a old dozer sitting in the woods for years. They went to start it, an were going to change oil in it when two big timber rattlers came out from under it my uncle almost got bit by one of them. But they did get it started.
Man oh man.
Thanks for sharing
Thank you very much for the video👍🤗👍🇸🇯
Thank you for watching
Compression release open
It doesn't do any good to spray ether into a oil bath air cleaner.
I did not know that. So many comments about that. Thanks for sharing and watching
Believe me you can say the word it's 2023.
Dang I was hoping yall made a part 2 to this video wanted to see it movin around since yall got it runnin already.
We did on Hanks Channel and will have a least one more
If anybody can get that sucker goin it’s Wiley🤘🏼‼️
Thanks and thank you for watching
