I was impressed with the excellent rear seat leg room. It’s right there with the Ridgeline. The others are cramped.
You forgot to mention that Ford like Chevy and GMC did away with the extended cab Ranger and that’s too bad. Not everyone needs or wants a four door pickup with a short bed.
The biggest issue for me was the fold down rear seat not being able to fold down flat, and not being split. For me that was one of those little things that would have just driven me nuts over the years. Bought a tacoma instead. But I still like the ranger.
No hybrid model is a big plus
I can’t believe I just watched this whole video, your cons aren’t really cons besides price. And didn’t mention the only real physical con which is no rear air vents. Also the new model is not the same when looking at frame and suspension setup. It’s improved for ride and handling and loses 100 lb payload but so what it’s still the leader in its segment. Do more research before you make yourself look dumb in the future
Lightnings aren’t selling because they are twice the price that was announced
Wrong on the tow package, unless you get the tow package you can't tow more than 3500- some odd pounds. You need to spec the tow package to get the 7500lb tow rating, AND you need to add you own Trailer brake controller to tow over 2500 lbs, the wiring is stuck up there under the dash. Dealer can install one for you as an option if you'd like. I owned a '20, so read the fien print if your you want to tow.

Called extended Cab- Ford decieded to say Fk us, accounted for less than 20%? of the sales so they deieded to kill it' so now you gotta get a Giant box witha 5' bed.
I bought one of these IN SPITE OF the new exterior, the older one was nicer. And IN SPITE OF all the tech that's crammed into it - sure that stuff is neat until it breaks. Hopefully when it does, it doesn't knock out anything else important. Not being able to get lower tech versions, doesn't mean that people prefer the higher tech versions. And the for fun Raptor version has nothing to do - pro or con - with the base trucks.
I bought one of these because it's an F150 that fits in my garage and still has 4' clear width in the bed between the wheels.
No hybrid is a plus. Some states require only the hybrids can be carried in stock so please Ford, no hybrid Ranger! Love the styling on my 2020!

You also forgot the wait time increase to 6 to 10 months.
Just buy an F150. It gets Fords best stuff, the Ranger just gets leftover Ford Edge parts. The F150 gets just as good fuel economy too with the 2.7 thanks to its Aluminum body. A base F150 with incentives isn’t much more, but a much better truck, not an afterthought.

100lbs less payload and still the best in it's class. Oh my!
3 engines when Chevy has one, and others don't offer any diesel option in NA also. Come on.
More standard options for the standard truck which is why it is more expensive.

When the hell are we going to see the new Ranger
There are good reasons not to have hybrid or diesel options, hybrid adds a lot of complexity and cost which over the lifespan of a vehicle is a big turnoff, do you want to buy a used hybrid off warranty that could have expensive battery and engine problems, then there are diesels, emission laws have created very expensive exhaust systems which when not used in a way that keeps them from plugging creates big problems for the owner and manufacturers, I personally know of a couple of Colorado’s at my shop that were more trouble then they were worth, vehicles became useless. Keep it simple
The previous model Ranger is lighter than the new 2024 Ranger, so it stands to reason the payload would be more. On the flip side, the new Ranger is larger than the previous model making it heavier. See what adding certain options does to the payload capacity on ANY truck. The Ranger is MUCH better looking than that ugly Tacoma and it has 1000 lbs more capacity than the Taco as well. Plus, the screen in the Taco is not integrated into the dash at all which looks odd.
The body design is still weak looking and gives the truck a cheap look. With GM and Toyota giving there trucks a very rugged look Ford still needs to step up there design. Ford would never offer the 3.0 diesel. That engine was discontinued for many reasons.. But all mid size trucks should have a diesel option.
A plus is the exterior? ROFL, the C-lights are lame. The exterior doesn't do anything well, just blah. Infotainment placement isn't grand either.
Really funny ...about mpg!!!😂 old v6 in Tahoma and frontier have almost same!!! Plus not much less than 5.7 hemi from ram1500. When you will tow something heavy mpg will be worse than in ram 1500. Total nonsense with that tiny 2 litter turbo engines. Definitely they will last much less than natural aspirated v6 and v8.....

The 2024 ranger looks like shit. It looks like a wannabe f-150. It is not. they should of just made it to be a Ranger. the 2023 model year is fine with a new grill. that was the main thing.
