You can have more writable character dynamics having characters with very simple personalities that can play off of each other
Or give them a complex hard to define personality more describable as a trope rather than
"He's this mood most of the time" and have the focus be on one character at a time
Thinking about it, it might be part of why JoJo fans and MHA fans don't get along, JoJo fans are used to characters having height, weight, age, birthday, nationality, life goals, favourite hobbies and different ways of thinking about concepts like Justice or what it takes to win an encounter
To them see a character that's kinda just angry all the time and his interactions are more easily written off of that, it might feel cheap and boring to them
And MHA fans see this infamous fanbase creators of such overused memes like "Kono Dio Da and poorly made "Ho? you're approaching me?" edits, they feel as if this whole series is a big joke and one that takes itself way too seriously given how much they seem to remember small details like you have to catch up to a lot to get into it, and learn tedious details about every character
