Hey guys, back with another Borderlands 2 Countdown and today I figured I would go over what I think are the Top 10 Best Guns, Weapons and Gear for Gaige the Mechromancer in Borderlands 2! As always, please be sure to leave a like and let me know what you think of this video! - เกม

As an honorable mention, I might put the slayer of terramorphous class mod. It's the only class mod that boosts preshrunk cyberpunk, which increases the amount of anarchy stacks you can have. Potentially with this class mod you can get up to 650 stacks of anarchy.
Funny how Hammerlock's DLC has the best weapon for Gaige, cuz she has the hots for him

They both got prosthetics but hammerlocc likes the quiet and gaige is screaming so much on some builds
I always found it weird why she had hots for hammerlock, untill i realized when looking at cosplay conventions, that her attire is basically the token female steampunk character just like how hammerlock is the male steampunk dude
The thing about Gaige is that she works best in solo play.
because:
1- other people can steal kills from you, severely halting your anarchy stack gain.
2- once you get enough anarchy stacks there wont be shit left for the other players kill.
3- if you are not the host suffering a disconnect and losing all stacks can be heartbreaking.
You dont need kills to stack anarchy. you only need to do damage.
I had a 100 anarchy stack (KILL me)
Another thing, If You’re in a lobby with a Gaige, steam rolling through UVHM and all a sudden she goes AFK, I find that less experienced players suffer because it’s becomes much harder to kill baddies.

Personally, I like using Gaige's Slayer of Terramorphous class mod, if only for the boost to Preshrunk Cyberpunk so I can have a maximum of 600 Anarchy.
Word of warning, though - playing with that much Anarchy kinda makes bullets behave... weirdly. ESPECIALLY if the gun has low accuracy to begin with. I'm talking bullets going sideways, zig-zagging, missing at point blank, and (if you have Close Enough), missing the guy two feet in front of you only to rebound and hit some jackoff trying to snipe you from behind.

Gaige at 600 anarchy with the twister is like the most hilarious spectacle to ever lay your eyes upon. The twister is about half the height of Gaige and as wide as two Ellies, and as they travel they begin to spread out making this wall of shock orbs. Sure shotguns with the bee are not great, but at the same time, pairing it with the bee, some decent cover, and Deathtrap to distract enemies, you'll be like "Ye Gods, what accuracy?"
You could even run Blood Soaked Shields WITH the Bee to shoot the Twister, get shot by said enemy, Annihilate the enemy, and gain back the shield. Rinse and Repeat
Properly *GAIGE* the distancing and angle of the shots.

Watafu mmx4 is the best grenade for UVHM but it’s pretty bad in normal and TVHM
I carry both if someone is using it I'll switch to chain lightning... but it is an awesome granade
A longbow slag transfusion with a low fuse time outbeats it
prince zuko the magi module regent is so good though but I still use transfusion slags on gaige
My husband uses magic missile and I use chain lightning. 😂 Shields are never a problem.
A note about Interspersed Outburst: the damage doesn't scale with rank, only the slag chance. The slag chance is Rank×Stack Count×2%, and can be boosted by More Pep and BAR.
If you just want the extra damage (slight though it may be), you don't need more than one point in IO.
Nice list Puma Honestly I cant get enough of Gaige she is the best character in the game IMHO Summoning DT having full stacks of Anarchy and just going ape on everything is AWESOME and this list is quite helpful so thank you :D
The ricochet Fibber with a bee shield is amazing, even without anarchy. You can steamroll UVHM with this combination and in fact I refuse to use it if I'm playing for fun.
Aww, as much as I agree with most of the choices on this list, I was hoping there would still be a place for the Legendary Roboteer class mod. IMO only, but I like the close teamwork and dependece going on between Gaige and DT while using it. Not to mention the right gear that will boost the chances of both of you to win almost every encounter.
Interspersed outburst is awesome, not only does it slag it also increases damage. At 10/5 it will take 1/2 of an ultimate baddy's health.
Also, I think the Bee synchs great with Blood Soaked Shields. Kill an enemy and hello amp damage.
Finally, a great item for Gaige is the class mod that increases magazine size. Why? Hello infinity + anarchy.
infinity isnt that great tbh,fibber and tbf are way better,and even the maggie works great with anarchy
Interspersed outburst is great as a skill to dump stats on when you already spec into the more important skills. Having a chance to slag on every weapon I'm holding means I don't have to swap weapons or throw a slagging grenade. At higher levels whether either you are oneshotting or getting oneshotted, a second to throw a grenade or swap to a slagging gun can be very costly.

Legendary Anarchist class mod.
Sham shield.
Longbow quasar.
cool down relic with electric dmg+.
That's what I run in OP8.
The Sandhawk and the quasar are good weapons but not as good with Gaige.. Tattler and Florentine are better smgs for her (Gaige is not a great smg user tought), and for the grenade I prefer Stormfront, Crossfire (slag version) or Chain Lightning, Get a Fibber barrel 3 and a Conference call (Or Butcher maybe) too, they work fuckin great with Gaige, and the Sham is good with rockets launchers but it's also good to have a nova shield with her, like hide of terramorphous (sorry for my english)
For Gaige, all you need is a Bee Shield, Storm Front, Grog for Healing and a few variations of the Fibber. You will just face roll anything.
Buck Up and Blood Soaked Shields means you will have almost 100% uptime on the Bee unless you mess up.
The Fibber is ridiculous on Gaige.
Maybe a Norfleet for second winds, but not even that is necessary.
shamfleet (with a shock norfleet) with gaige is just insane when you use legendary catalyst, or even with slayer of terramorphous and have 600 anarchy stacks.
Just switch for the bee + fibber when you have to kill a raid boss
Shamfleeting is ridiculous with all characters and especially Gaige, period.
The Catalyst is not even close to necessary for it to be ridiculous on her. In fact, a Necromancer class mod with +6 on WDT is better for Shamfleeting than The Catalyst could ever be. Either because of the bonus to Mag Size from the True Netrual, the Fire Rate from Chaotic Good or the Reload Speed from the Good version.
well, i used to play coop with other gaige players, and since the legendary catalyst affect the whole group, it was pretty effective.
But i usually choose the slayer of terramorphous because 600 stacks ...
I think I've been playing too much Skyrim. as gauge was going in the dragon DLC I was wondering why Vynlic didn't harvest the mushrooms in the creek.
If you use UCP. The removal of self damage on the Whisky Tango Foxtrot can be quite entertaining when combined with Sharing Is Caring, even though it isn't a top tier shield.

A TH-camr by the name AdmiralBahroo farmed 13 hours for The Hive. RNGeesus wasn't with him so he had to get help from his inner demons. Near the end, he went offscreen so it looked like his chair was playing the game.

The torgue seeker is fun to use with her once your anarchy stacks are up .she is the only character ill run it on.
There is a synergy that you didn't talk about in your video. The Fibber that you say is the best for Gaige has a weird synergy with her "Close Enough" skill: the ricochets have up to a 50% chance of homing in on enemies AND does not suffer from the damage penalty from "Close Enough".

Pimpernel and swordsplosion is so good with gaiage. swordsplosion literally acts as a norfleet rocket launcher in shotgun form

The flakker should have got a mention as it has a fixed shooting pattern so the accuracy drop isn't a problem on gaige plus you don't need to rely on the ahab glitch to get consistent damage allowing the player to use more weapons (works best with legendary anarchist)
Also good against air targets that dive. Since it has a fixed firing pattern and fixed detonating distance I can easily shoot down flying targets if they get close. Higher anarchy even makes it better because not only does the flak cloud now cover a larger area each pellet also deals more damage to the point one pellet explodes near a target is enough to kill.

Very late to the party and just started to play as Gaige, but has anyone else noticed you can get anarchy stacks for shooting the ice piles near the bullymong nests at three horns divide? I was using a 3 magazine shotgun that fired 2 ammo a shot and every reload after shooting one I'd get an extra anarchy stack. Same for skag piles too. If you have a gun that has essentially two shots, you shoot a pile with the first then just fire the next into the air and you'll get an extra anarchy. I spent a while driving round three horns divide killing enemies and shooting the piles too. Those accidental reloads are killing me. I'm not used to playing gaige I unconsciously reload sometimes and I'm devastated
tbh i started to worry about not seeing the fibber , i found this one to be completely hope especially with close enough and lots of anarchy stacks

I like using Slayer of Terramorphous for DOT/Anarchy hybrid Gaige. Those anarchy stacks.
I just finished my first playthrough of Borderlands 2, first time playing any Borderlands game in fact. I played Gaige, in a coop campaign, and I had a lot of fun, but I'm not sure I played her... what you'd call 'properly'. I put most of my skill points into anything but the tree with Anarchy, because I also focused on using sniper rifles, revolvers, and stuff with high accuracy and damage, instead of instead of low accuracy and super-high damage.
Gaige was still a lot of fun to play, even though I'd always forget to use Deathtrap. It makes me sad that she's not in the other games.
Legendary Catalyst generally works with Anarchy builds as well

Puma you forgot to mention that you can also do a double shot with the hive to further increase the projectiles along with the grog drunk effect.
I need help! I am trying to do a shield only run with Gaige in True Vault Hunter mode in Borderlands 2. I am trying to find skills/relics/class mods that I can use well. Any advice for good gear. My Gaige is currently lvl 33.

VPG you forgot slayer of terra class mod as it gives 200 more anarchy stacks, since anarchy is the primary source of damage for Gaige I think it's important to maximise

What about the florentine, it can slag and shock, and if you spec gaige right, can also burn people, and in tvhm and uvhm, can do triple the damage, meaning its great on fleshy and shielded targets

Personally I like the infinity pistol with the max amount of anarchy and the perk that allows you to heal with a full mag, not sure how good it is in actuality but I like it

Uhhh dude... gaige can't use infinity pistols with max anarchy. If you went to the second teir of anarchy tree you had to put 4 skill points into a skill that lowers your magazine size.
@@itsdemonz9814 I thought the same thing, but apparently the way the pistol works prevents this from happening, BUT, I haven't played the game since well before BL3 came out so I may be misremembering, OR I meant max anarchy as in the max stack of anarchy as I did make this comment 3 years ago. But I do remember having 150 anarchy on her at one point

Im sure I'm not the only one who pointed this out, but if you have close enough with the fibber it becomes easier to use. Not to mention the projectiles that ricochet are unlisted so it gets full amp damage from bee shields and the damage reduction from close enough becomes void. If you shoot literally any surface everything dies, it's really powerful and more practical than shamfleeting. Try it, it's cheesy.
That's what I've been using in the Dragon Keep DLC. The richochet electric fibber is killing the skeletons and I'm speced into close enough.
i use a homing spiker with the bee and full anarchy to do some good damage, however I'm sure that only works as far as true vault hunter mode

I'm always surprised we don't see the use of the two-fer maggie combined with a calculating anarchist mod, close enough and preshrunk anarchy discord, at max stacks your projectiles do 9x damage. spam out a clip at the general direction of the enemy and you put 70 projectiles in the air for 14 pistol rounds, 35 of which ricochet towards enemies and wreck everything, you don't aim you shoot in general directions and watch the red dots disappear.
Hail, Wanderlust and Slayer of Terra should be in this list. Those items works very good on Gaige.

Best thing to do with a hive and grog nozzle you glitch the double drunk effect swap the hive and grog nozzle in the inventory double shot glitch then you get over 30 hives in the air
i found the mechromancer legendary class mod at level 53 in the red chest of shouhtern self in ultimate vault hunter mode
I got the thunderball first very early on and ended up selling it coz it was too weak and then later on in the game i got it back from a loot midget with way more damage
the reaason that the fibber is so good on gaige is because combined with close enough you basically dont need to aim and the projectiles will aim towards enemys anyway
A double pentatrating upkept Harold is another exelint wepon for anarchy gauge. Its almost guaranteed to hit
I would like to state that they changed this in borderlands with the drop level of legendary class mods. I found them around level 40+ in TVHM no community patch just what the game gives me.

lowkey.. the thunderball fist's 2ndary part.... works great with maya's phase lock...
everyone gets sucked in.. that 2ndary shock of all ur shots go off and everyone gets hit by it... plus i u kill phased enemy quick enough whith everyone slagged while bunched off.. the phase will just go straight down and re yank the enemies right back in.. xD

The rekachet fibber is actually the ultimate rakk hunting weapon. Just trigger them and aim at the ground as they approach you...

Pardon? The Fibber takes skill to use? Speaking as a Gaige main, there in no skill involved with the ricochet Fibber, all you have to do is pour 5 points into Close Enough, and the auto target takes over. The damage penalty is negated because, like all ricochet weapons, the algorithm is bugged to not reduce the damage and instead auto-pilot the ricochet. Coupled with the Fibber and the Buck-Up bug, Gaige is one of the easiest Vault Hunters in the game, but also reliant on a buggy, pistol build.
That is, if Close Enough procs at the same time of a ricochet, but a 50% chance means that's negligible. It's also the same reason a Pearlescent Stalker is a great choice on Gaige. I agree with the placement of the Fibber on this list, but I don't think you quite understood why.
How many Gaiges have you leveled and how many days does your favorite Gaige have on her?
RocksRealNice523 I have 2 on 360 and PC, both are maxed out. Call me unskilled, but this was the build that allows me chunk raid bosses and carried me to OP8. Sad that I have to keep reseting UVHM so i can get more Fibbers, but that's the price for relying on it so heavily
RocksRealNice523 I also have no friends and trying to build Vermiverous or whatever his name is, is a total pain, and on top of that you only get the chance of getting a Norfleet. Gurl, completing a quest line for a unique weapon is so much easier. And the Treants make Bee farming a breeze.
TheDoctorOfThrills while i do agrer with you, that the fibber doesnt really need a lot of thinking of the player, especially with the buckle up glitch and a bee shield, which pretty much guarantees you full amp damage with ecery shot while being in the middle of the mayhem thats going on around you, i do not understand why you keep resetting uvhm for more fibbers? if youre on console, ask a friend to pick up your fibber and turn off the console, let him give it back to you and get 1 more. on pc you can do it without the help of anyone, finish a quest to the point where you can turn it in. quit the game and make your save file read only. get back in and get your gun. then stash it into claptraps stash, its content is stored next to your save file called profile.bin. you can get as many fibbers as you want. everytime you start the game, no matter if u took the quest reward or not, you start with the quest being ready to be turned in again. however you dont lose them once u put them in the stash because its content is stored in the file that was untouched. if youre done, remove the read only and off u go
I farmed for my first ever norfleet on my Salvador and was so pissed that I got a shock one until I realized it makes her an immortal mobbing machine.
tbh I like the Florentine on my gaige. slag/shock weapon with the shock can cause fire damage skill (forgot what it's called off the top of my head) plus anarchy is always fun
Florentine is good for gaige, it would just be better if the slag splash damage was happening before the shock direct damage.
I like the Florentine in conjunction with an Orphan Maker (the Florphantine) and a Turtle shield.

I hate to say it, but the pearlescent storm is actually great with Gaige.
My level 80 shock Ladyfist is also fantastic with her.

I prefer to give a character stuff that matches their character, so I gave gaige some weirder stuff like the hail and the hive.
No wonderlust tho, I have a limit after all...
I've definitely been looking forward to this Best Gear video as Gaige has to be one of my favorite Vault Hunters to use. There is one question I would like to ask in concerns to play style for Gaige. For the record, I've only just started True Vault Hunter with her so I'm not up to the hard shit I should expect in Ultimate and OP levels. Is a Deathtrap centered build not viable for the later playthroughs of the game? Currently, I've been making DT a killing machine, completing the BFF tree and now working on the Little Big Trouble tree. The Anarchy tree has never really appealed to me because I have a habit of compulsively reloading even if I only fire a single shot and favor gun accuracy and precision over gun power and spray n pray. Yet nearly every TH-camr that does Gaige has an Anarchy based build. So again I ask, is a Deathtrap centered build not viable and do I need to seriously consider getting into the Anarchy tree?
Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated and keep up the great videos! Looking forward to a Best Gear for Krieg video!

I've se en on TH-cam a buil for deathtrap that make him, with the flame of the fire Hawk, something like a hellborn krieg. I'm a gaige player too and i prefer using an electical-anarchy build
I know this is an old video, but since I am still playing borderlands 2, I feel there are many honorable mentions for gaige in terms of weapons:
Florentine:. This is pretty much the chulainn without the self slag. While it is decent with anyone, when combined with little big trouble skill tree, this weapons becomes a monster. With electrical burn, more pep, evil enchantress, and wires don't talk, you now have a weapon that deals electrical, slag and fire elemental effects and damage at a fairly high frequency with very good damage. The chulainn can work the same, but any difficulty higher than normal makes the cost of self slag not really worth it as you're only making yourself easier to kill.
Any weapon with a fixed or homing projectile patern will always work with gauge's anarchy. Homing weapons sacrifice the ability to crit, but with anarchy, you aren't really going for crits as much as you might think. The point is that a fixed or homing projectile pattern is always good for gauge's anarchy build. Richocet weapons can also work, but homing and fixed patterns will be far more reliable
Any decent elemental weapons will always work, but with gaige, shock elementals will give you the most bang using little big trouble skills. I personally found a blue rarity bandit fire zooka, which is a very good substitute for the norfleet for now. I also have a slag maliwan sniper with a vladorf barrel for a fast rate of fire with a high slag chance, very useful in co op play as I can focus on slagging everyone while my teammate follows through with damage.
Elemental resistance shields can be useful for those new to gaige. Many elementals can run the risk of being danger close and causing player damage, so if you are resistant to said element, you won't take as much damage. In terms of legendaries, the neogenator is best for that, as it also has health regen and increases max health. If you're not worried about that, elemental spike or nova would work. It doesn't have to be that high since gaige has several skills that boost shields and you will want to take advantage of elemental attacks. ideal legendaries include flame of the Firehawk, black hole if you can handle the singularity effect, and maybe the impaler. For anarchy builds, probably go with an absorption shield to keep your ammo stocked. The 1340, the transformer and the sham are good suggestions for that.
Elemental grenades, just like the weapons, are always useful. For uniques or legendaries, the quasar, storm front, lightning bolt, chain lighting or magic missile are the best. Again, gaige gets more use out of shock elemental weapons.
Relics really depend on play style. For anarchy builds, pick your primary weapons and get an artifact based on that, either an aggression relic or a stockpile relic. Probably stockpile since you're already going to be doing a lot of damage with anarchy. For little big trouble, find either a shock elemental relic or a maliwan allegiance relic, since shock elemental weapons will be your focus. If you wanna focus on deathtrap, get a proficiency relic so you can summon him more.

i got a non elemental thunderball fists from flynt it shoots like a normal one but it doesnt deal an elemental damage

I am surprised that you didn't include the hot mama in this list. It has a hidden effect that allows gaige to snipe with it at max anarchy stacks, which makes for crazy damage. Since we are using a sniper rifle, might as well put the morningstar in another slot and use the morningstar glitch for even more insane damage.
