Everyone please watch til the end! This is the best camera work filming a rocket launch, PLUS landing I have ever seen. Better than professional 100000 dollar camera systems. Great work Robert!
There’s really nothing in Ocala. It’s Country living❤️💙. My Parents lived there until it was time for heaven! I miss Florida and them both tremendously .
We had people working with us who lived in PCB (Panama City Beach) when we started cutting our way in after the storm who had no idea how bad it really was across the bridge...even those who came later were shocked at the war-like aftermath.
Yes worst storm I've ever witnessed. I've lived here most of my life and never have I seen damages like this storm other than tornado damages. All the news has moved on. I just seen that Overlander vehicle yesterday passing by our restaurant on Panama City Beach. Thank you for showing we still have alot of work ahead of us. I would also like to thank all the people that came here to help us get some small resemblance of normal again. It will take years for us to rebuild but we are #850 Strong!!!
From St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge to Port St Joe is my favorite part of Florida's panhandle. It is really laid back and reminds me of what Florida was like when I first moved here back in 78.
I want to thank you for this finally part of the journey, seeing the hurricane damage, driving in the rain, cooking on the road, boondocking, NASA...great share Exciting launch and landing. Thanks!
Faith Rada exactly! be a good citizen, check on the people and wait for police. shame on everyone who kept going! this is whats happened to america, nobody cares, all about me. off my soapbox.
That's why I now never pull out exactly when the light changes to green when I'm first in line. Sure, I get the horn taps from angry drivers behind me---but better safe than sorry. It all started a few years ago from watching TH-cam! It was all about car cams and wrecks. Most of the wrecks were from Russia. Many were trucks running red lights either because of equipment failure or because they thought they could be the light. Many of the fatalities were people first in line at lights pulling out. Many were even pedestrians assuming cars would stop at cross walks. They didn't. One woman was crossing when the light changed and she never took her eyes off her phone. She simply moved when her friends moved. After a few yards they saw an oncoming speeding truck that clearly wasn't going to stop. They saw it and tried to go back; she wasn't looking at the traffic, she never had a chance and was killed instantly---literally not knowing what hit her. She never took her eyes off her cell phone! I learned a very simple and valuable lesson many years ago in grade school (we ALL did)-----LOOK both ways before crossing the street! Don't assume a car/truck is going to stop just because it is suppose to! Don't assume shit. Ole lady jokester Moms Mabley used to say "damn dem lights...lights ain't never killed nobody, watch dem damn cars, dey the ones that kill people!" Sorry folks behind me, but I give cross-traffic cars a few seconds run-the-red-light grace period and let the traffic cams(if any) deal these guys later. It has saved me from a few bumps or worse. I still see cars first in line getting tagged or nearly tagged by those trying to beat or ignore the red lights. It is just too much evidence out there that it happens all the time. If I can I will pull up behind a car already in line just so I won't be first. Who does that? YOU can take the chance if YOU want to and be my test bait, ha ha. Too many people WANT to be first so they can get a quick start on the firing gun turning green. Not me, it is just too many light beaters who clash with "I had the green light and damn it, it is MY RIGHT to move." He's right----sometimes "dead right" as a long ago public service commercial used to remind us. So guys if you pull up behind me at a red light and I don't take off like a bat outta Transylvania when the light turns green, sorry, I'm watching the cars and I'm not sure if that ass-hole in that monsta truck is going to stop. I know, you're thinking there's two ass-holes at the intersect!
Most kind people would have stopped and checked to see if everyone was alright. You let me down, Robert. That's part of being a good driver, helping others. You lost a fan.
Robert thanks so much for coming through our area at Mexico beach Fl and showing how bad it is. Things are getting cleaned up but very little help back from FEMA. Next time through it will be better and we have an RV hookup for you on our lot. Thanks!!
WOW all that rain ,and more rain . Made some of your trip miserable. The terrible hurricane damage at Mexico beach hurts my heart! May that area recover soon. The rocke launch was fantastic! Thanks for sharing another great adventure! Love the channel! Cheers 🥂🌅
This is exactly why we just decided to sell our new camper. Hard camping in the winter...who wants to sit in a box all day when it's too cold. The rain was Always coming down. We plan on still going to all the state parks..But using their cabins. Still have the adventure!
Robert! Your RV jingle Really works! I catch myself humming / singing along when doing everyday activities ;)) All episodes are Great!! Thanks! I can't get away nearly as much as I want to, even tho my RV sits waiting patiently. And you've shown me so many places I wanna go.
The forgotten coast, even some the comments aren’t geared towards the destruction. Been through this before (Katrina was outshining Rita) but we were very lucky/blessed to have a community that pulled together to get it cleaned up. I feel so sorry for these folks, very sad. Always love your videos, thank you for showing things that need to be brought to the front and center as well as the fun stuff.
We spent some time on The Forgotten Coast last summer. Nice people and love the slow pace. So sad to see the destruction left by the hurricane. We will revisit the area in 2020.
Wow the destruction is horrible! My girlfriend, partner is from Blountstown Florida and she drove down from Maine three days after the hurricane to see family. Your video let her see what’s been done for cleanup so far, it still upsets her to see so much destruction but really appreciates what you have shown us. Thank you again !
Spectacular video! Almost an action movie! I'm sad for those people who have lost everything. Beautiful rocket launch! Thank you Robert for all your work! 👍
Great video! Lots of great shots of Michael's storm damage that gives a true picture of the destruction that a hurricane can cause. Nice shots of little towns along the way as well. Very enjoyable video.
I'm totally fascinated with your various road adventures and relive the ones I had with my late husband. Now I'm riding along with you, thank you so much!! I live in Sarasota, I hope you come to our coast too! Awesome Space Launch!!
Your hurricane images hit me emotionally. To those buying a house in Florida make sure it was built at least two years after Hurricane Andrew. That's when the new strict building codes became law.
Excellent advice. The Pan Handle area got a Building Code exemption back then. They THOUGHT the area was not a high impact zone. Man were they wrong. BY BY Exemption!
Mexico Beach looked just like Rockport, Texas did after Harvey. I was there 4 days after landfall and saw similar destruction. The Rockport area has lots and lots of small coastal oaks and when I visited the smell of fresh oak in the air was intoxicating and such a surreal and sad feeling. It has taken Rockport almost 1-1/2 years to get back to some sense of normalcy. But it will take at least 5 years of rebuilding to be even close the town it was before the storm. I imagine it will be the same for Mexico Beach. And the 2019 Hurricane season will have many people feeling anxious each time a storm enters the Gulf. But the upside is both towns will be better than they were before the storm.
I live in Fulton now. Got there a week after Harvey (Cat 5) came ashore after I got off the only sailboat that sailed blindly into the eastern side of the hurricane...long story. I sell standing seam roofs for work but volunteer all over the area. The official timeline for recovery on the Tx coast is 10-15 years. Because of my unique skillset and experience in construction and hurricane recovery, I was asked to work with USACE and FEMA to go in days after Micheal (Cat 4.9). The recovery timeline in FL is 20yrs. The devastation is so similar it was spooky...just more structures in FL and pine trees that turned into pick-up-sticks. I realized as I was watching this that I was there when he shot the footage. He was driving down the same streets and roads I traveled regularly at that point. I could never get enough prospective in my pics to show my friends and family back home in Tx, but the video gets close. The real horror of Micheal is the unofficial death toll...over 1500. Makes it the second deadliest hurricane next to the storm in 1900 that hit Galveston (over 3000).
@@ubuntres NOAA categorized Harvey Cat 5 when it came ashore at Rockport/Fulton/Holiday Beach the first time. ...then a Cat 4 the second time near Port Lavaca area...then a Cat 3 at Houston. They categorized Micheal a Cat 4.9 that acted like no other thanks to the cold front that pulled it north so it crossed the FL/GA line as a Cat 3. The 4.9 rating was financially motivated...I was in the USACE emergency command center when they made the offical call.
@@RenaissanceThinking Nearly all of this is wrong. Harvey was a tropical storm over Houston, cat 1 at about Cuero, cat 3 at northern Copano Bay, cat 4 at San Jose Island/Rockport. Here is the official NHC/NOAA report for Harvey, highest intensity was 115kt/130mph/cat 4: www.nhc.noaa.gov/data/tcr/AL092017_Harvey.pdf
The rain always follows me too..out of Louisiana to Florida....that West to East flow ! Glad you home! In the winter the rainy cold fronts seem to come every three Days! Nice cooking there!!
I love Florida, I go to Cocoa Beach and Key West every year for the Super Boat race, and I have a rocket launch on my to do list, Love your videos keep em coming
Robert, your videos are fun to watch and make me hungry, too! Thanks for the memories. I took a tour of the VAB in 1969 and watched Apollos 8 and 11 launch. Fun!
Thank you for getting the word out about the destruction we deal with every day. We lost almost everything in the storm and no one is offering anything to help us. I have friends still in tents, living with friends or just moved away because they didn’t have anything to salvage. BTW you drove within two miles of what’s left of my home...
Strange to see some of the same parts of FL I worked intial response for the first 3 months after Micheal through the eyes of others now. There is still so much to do there. Thanks for showing the World.
Terrible what hurricanes do to the landscape and buildings .. Just tragic loss of everything the hurricane touches .. but all in all a great covered video .. you did well..
I was not aware that rockets could land like that. I never saw anything like that on the news or even in youtube science videos. You taught me something. thanks
To be honest. That's a stupid way to land a rocket. It takes a lot of fuel to do that. And that fuel must first be carried far up by burning more fuel. Smarter way would be to install paragliders to the rockets. But then ... that doesn't look as cool and you wouldn't get as much money from investors as when using sexy rocket engine landings. Public attention is the driving force of today's economy. Not practicality.
Hey Robert you should get the spray on Rain-X in the spray bottle and apply it to your windshield... After that you should get the orange Rain-X that's goes in the windshield resovoir and use that . At the speeds of 55-65 miles per hour the rain will beed up and run up the windshield, plus you will not really have to use your windshield wipers as much
Thanks for showing the damage from the Hurricane. I always watch your travels and was right at the stage where my wife and myself were going to do some traveling. But, then the storm and the house got so messed up and trees everywhere. So we just had to wait. Like I said thanks for bringing this up we really need federal help. We were out the next day cleaning up and cutting trees. But there is so many trees down that we need more heavy equipment to clear the canals and drainage ditches. Thanks buddy up here we know you have had to deal with this, down your way.
Florida lost one of its best State Parks during Michael. It was T.H. Stone Memorial Park and campground on Cape San Blas between Port St Joe and Apalachicola. The peninsula was cut in half near the boat ramp and separated the entire campground from the mainland road So sad. Mother Nature takes back when ever it wants to. That area has been our go to spot for years. Thank you for the video.
Robert, my wife and I discovered your videos and now watch them often. We have seen your life story. You are quite an interesting fellow! Someday we will be getting an RV and would like to meet up with you. I find myself singing "Riding in my RV …. "
Robert thank you for appreciating the devastation on the forgotten coast. I live in Port St Joe, stayed for the hurricane. We are hoping to get a fifth wheel later this year and hit the road, maybe we'll see you sometime.
Hope those people involved in the accident will see this video of Robert's and show it to their insurance claim adjusters. Very clear piece of evidence!
This is why many people today carry their own onboard carcam/dashcam, etc. Big rig truckers and most motorcyclist carry one. Cyclist carry one because it is almost all the time the car driver's fault---now they can prove it. Many are less than a $75.
The horrible destruction left my Michael is mind-blowing. With hurricane Michael happening right before the Califiorna wildfires, it appears America has forgotten about Mexico Beach and its complete destruction. Maybe your video will remind folks of their despair and need. On a brighter note; I really enjoy traveling along with you in your Rv videos. Thanks for your informative and educational travels.
Gooooood morning Robert! Thank you for the new video. It is always good to see new ones of your adventures. It was great participating in your live chat this past Friday from Vegas. Have safe travels back east my friend. You are in our prayers. Fly pelican, fly! 🌴😀
Whew what a rainy trip! It followed you home almost all the way! Really effected your sight seeing. So heatbreaking seeing Mexico Beach 💔. So glad that crash did not involve you! Always love seeing the launch 🚀 .
Robert thanks for the video we keep forgetting how bad the Panhandle still is after the hurricane God is definitely on your side that almost was you in that accident stay safe thanks again
As always a great video. Enjoyed t he footage of Mexico City they really got hit hard. Glad to see you made it home safe. Can't wait to see your next video. Be safe
Ucky rain... Yummy Burito! Gonna make that! Welcome Home Mr. Robert. Thank You once again for sharing your adventures. The devastation from Michael was mind boggling.
Love your T-shirt you had on in the beginning of the clip! I live in Norway, but never been that far north! You had some rain there as well! Any way, keep up the good work!
Howdy, Robert, many thanks for sharing yet another magnificent video here which I watched with great delight and undivided attention as always..It sure made my day once again here buddy.Best wishes and cordial greetings from William across the Big Pond.
Wow. I had not seen this hurricane damage. Media coverage has been minimal. Then again, I don’t watch news like I used to. (I am not fond of watching news full of unwanted opinions). Thank you for sharing.
Wow! That must've been right after the storm. We were down there in PC earlier in the summer and it looks so much better now than in the video. They still have a long way to go but a lot of the area has been cleaned up. Still some damaged buildings here and there and the trees are gone.
Hola Robert primera ves que veo el desastre de un uracan tan de serca gracias por eso,en el 1982 fui a Cape Canavera may bonito,me encantan tus videos ojala ya pronto puedas continuar saludos desde Colton California 🙂
Hi Robert enjoyed your video I was actually in it at 841 the white truck lol the reason I clicked on video is because I recognize your logo on camper I live in wewahitchka FL was going to help friends with fallen trees any way great video
18:45 on the right: That picnic area and the bathrooms behind them have been there at least 40 years (probably much longer). The "beauty" of reinforced concrete... takes a storm licking and keeps on ticking.
Robert the strom is following you, haha 😆🤣👍

I love your videos Robert your one lucky guy with your traveling.. God bless you and your family!!!.
Crazy. That blue car ran the red light super late. Good thing it hit the front end of the white car and didn't t-bone it.

Such good sense to wait out the rain. With rain then the splashing it’s so hard to see. Just need to stay safe ❤

Welcome to my home, Robert.
I love your voice. Your a great story teller
Hope those people involved in the accident will see this video of Robert's and show it to their insurance claim adjusters. Very clear piece of evidence!
I agree
Exactly!
It's been two months since it happened.
This is why many people today carry their own onboard carcam/dashcam, etc. Big rig truckers and most motorcyclist carry one. Cyclist carry one because it is almost all the time the car driver's fault---now they can prove it. Many are less than a $75.
Great video! Thank you!
I love your videos! Relaxing to me. 🧸♥️
Thank you!
We love the Caribelle area. We stay at Ho Him RV resort a lot. It's a nice weekend getaway for us from Tallahassee.

The beach you passed in Carrabelle was used during WWII for amphibious landing training in the run-up to Normandy.
Ucky rain... Yummy Burito! Gonna make that! Welcome Home Mr. Robert. Thank You once again for sharing your adventures.
The devastation from Michael was mind boggling.
I've always been fascinated by how one's timing in doing activities line up when those two meet at the light.
Nearly every time we have driven on I-10 near Pensacola, it has rained hard. Must just be Summer-time in FL!
Hey Robert thanks for sharing, Great video and we love watching your travels!
Thanks for sharing the forgotten Coast. Sometimes if the media is busy - it's up to Content creators. Safe travels.
Love your T-shirt you had on in the beginning of the clip! I live in Norway, but never been that far north! You had some rain there as well! Any way, keep up the good work!
01:25 - Robert opens the door and deliver a few words to his imaginary friend :)
Awesome vid as always!!!
Omg best video yet!!!!
Great Video, Wife and I were in Chipley, last week looking at the Damage, Your shots were very good, Great film of the Launch as well.
Great video Robert! I found it very interesting. 👍👍
One of my dream trips was to go to Mexico Beach, heart breaking; remember time is the enemy, what is there today maybe gone tomorrow.

Cool... glad you got to help your friends
EXCELLENT Video
40 min long episode. I like that alot. keep up the good work.
18:45 on the right: That picnic area and the bathrooms behind them have been there at least 40 years (probably much longer). The "beauty" of reinforced concrete... takes a storm licking and keeps on ticking.
