A new Star Wars game just released and here's what you need to know about it. For how long it's been delayed it's suprisingly limited to 1 console and mobile. There's a decent roster of characters but while it is fun right now, how long will it last with monetization?

Just a friendly reminder, that autofire can be switched to manual in the settings. That was actually the first thing i did, when i started playing the game not so long ago. So it isn't even that big of a deal.
Don’t do this. The auto fire is actually really good haha. Mobile aiming is so hard that manual fire is kind of making you worse at the game.

Your impression of Aran Tal is the same I had when I first played him. However, the more time I spent with him and seeing how other players were using him, he’s more of a hit and run character. You jump in, shoot the flame thrower in their face and either finish them off or dodge out and come back when the flame thrower is off cool down (not the ultimate, forget what it’s called, Tal’s Breath or something). If you try to stand toe to toe with others, you’re likely to have a bad time.
It’s also my understanding that Aran Tal will be available after the season is over, and will be earnable.
Yeah, his movement is pretty good...same with Imara Vex.
2:55 no there’s been plenty of Star Wars mobile games. It’s just that most of them stopped getting support and got taken down sadly.

This is actually not a bad game, it’s simple but pretty addictive.
The pass characters are released for free the next season
Arena pass characters become free to play after the pass expires. They're not locked behind a paywall permanently.

I will always remember Ahnald's video about "the dangers of mobile game spending", in which he drove to a store in a sportscar while live streaming and wearing a bathrobe and gold glasses, then bought like a thousand dollars worth of cash cards, all because his bank locked his account for spending too much at once on SWgoh. Zainia : human who can sometimes dodge attack ( unless melee) has gun

I have been playing this game for a week now and can answer some of your questions... First, Aran Tal will be added to the end of the hunters row at the end of the season for free to play players. I like to think of the battle pass as "try it before everyone else does" and you can unlock some cool cosmetics along the way. I feel like the pricing for this game is at a good point where it isn't game breaking or meta changing. Second, To all my people who don't like using the touch screen controls, try connecting a ps4 - 5 or xbox controller via Bluetooth to your phone trust me it makes a huge difference in ranked battles. It is nice to get a mobile game that isn't heavy on monetization yet and lets you breath. My only complaint is the home menu UI but that can be fixed easily
Also for those who hate the mobile touch controls…..get a switch
The game was supposed to come out in August last year, and then got delayed and never heard about until an ad came out a week before full release.
People are comparing the game to overwatch I *assume* because blizzard used to lock the new heroes behind a battlepass for the entire season, in a game where counterswapping mid match is required, some people didn’t have access to the heroes just because they didn’t spend any money, and it lost them games

No, Zaina is only okay. I mean, she's good, but Skora is a far better healer, and you don't really eed two healers.
@@Dungeon_Dunce2011 Skora is most definitely not a better healer, but has the advantage of being a good DPS too, extremely fast and her ultimate is super powerful. She's quite OP. But for healing and holding objectives Zaina it is.
She’s garbage on mobile, the mobile controls feel terrible for zaina, she feels okay on switch but not amazing
I also love Zaina, she is only support but does it well, I can throw healing like every five seconds
@@jorgebarbera No, Skora is completely a better healer and with her being able to snipe heal from across the map, it prevents her from needing to be in the action. Additionally, the HP bonus from the stim shot which increases health is really helpful. Objective control is more subjective, but I would say that Skora is still better because of her being able to heal up and boost the HP of a Grozz or Sentinel. And then of course, her ultimate, if used correctly, can prevent an enemy from being able to capture a point for a few seconds, and heal your allies to kill them off. So no, Zaina is not a better healer. Like, at all.
That support chick is actually really good. Having her on your team can turn the tides easily. Best for objective based maps but she's been successful in TDM too
Yea Zaina is actually goated as somebody who loves to play support. I love that she's designed as a massive busybody of a support character but doesn't rely on her team. She's about making the team work so you play around your allies. She's built to carry but by actually doing her job. I tend to follow Sentinels when playing her but I try to prioritize what I think needs to be done even if I have split from the team for a bit.
Skora is cool but she's designed in a slightly more selfish way until she gets her Ult.
@@GoldScale57 how is skore more selfish when her normal attack can heal? she has 3 ways to heal others while zaina only has 2
@@Ginger_666 due to how the characters are designed mechanically, when Zaina is hurt the most efficient way to heal is stack up with her team and heal everyone when everyone needs it. When Skora is in danger she just leaves and stops supporting cause firing interrupts her self heal.
A player can play any character selfishly but Skora is designed in such a way that she has to prioritize herself once she's at risk at the working team's expense.
Zaina, on the other hand, can still add supporting fire and flank while her healing is in cooldown. Skora has to run away cause its better overall if she stays alive but when she's gone to self heal the team has 1 less support and 1 less gun on the enemy.
Plus her healing without using Ult only works on just 1 person at a time. Doesn't relate to her design being selfish, it just isn't super efficient. She works, she isn't "bad", but her design has some strange quirks imo and she works despite these aspects. But when I play her I generally stay close to the action cause I can't aim and she can't aim down sights like Diago and Imara.
Her rolling ability is pretty useless for the most part though. The only good thing about it is that it can dodge an ult every once in a while...but it doesn't really change her movement or reload speed by much.
They either gotta buff it, or get rid of it for something else.
@@noobslayer6915 her rolling reloads her weapon and allows her to get behind opponents to take them out fron the flank. It's a very useful ability.

Zaina is actually pretty good on holding the points, just need to spam the heal and instead of reloading just roll as it resets the heat of the gun.
This game was actually announced nearly 2 1/2 years ago, but had a delayed launch in North America for almost that long of time. Australia has had this game for almost 2 years now.
There's no auto aim on the switch 😁👍 Hope you enjoy your time with it and I hope the predatory monetization is kept to a minimum since I'm enjoying my time with the game on switch.
I don’t blame them. It’s a mobile game. It can literally die and nobody would care except for those last remaining fans who grew up with starwars games and the Cartoon Network shows
I have racked up kills with Zania, the secret is her dodge reloads her blaster as well as getting you out of trouble.
Pairing up with a close range character for best results. So that you can pick off players as they disengage and heal the your close range buddy so ye can move on to the next target.
Havent played a game this fun in years
The rebel girl is an incredible support character for anyone who enjoys playing healing / support!!
The Mandalorian will be unlocked in the hunters path after the season ends
Hey, on your slo-mo series could you do the battle on mandolore on the season 3 finale of the Mandelorian. I feel like there would be a lot of cool stuff easily missed in it, like for example, in the duel between Bo Katan and Moff Gideon there could be some syuff normally missed in the jetpack fight happening in the backround.
I saw some ads for it but ignored it, because it's a mobile game.
If they make some pc port ot version or whatever, might try it.
This game using a backbone is awesome, it allows you to shoot at will vs only close/lock on
I love Aran Tal, first time i actually bought anything for a game and I don't regret it! He's quick and nimble and oh so satisfying to torch people with his ultimate and flamethrower ability.

Yeah, he didn't clarify that it is optional on both Switch and mobile. I have it off on Switch and on on my phone.

Sentinel is the coolest character to play as, but I have a natural affinity for sniper characters, so Diago is my main. Genuinely a super fun game! I’m super hyped to see it grow!

I I have play the beta and after the pass is done they put the pay hero in the free hero line up, you just need to unlock it in the hero pass, for example before the Mando, we had the pass for rieve and even before for Diago

Ive been loving the game so far! It the first game of this genre ive taken a liking too, and it has just enough goofiness to give it the star wars charm!
From the sound of it, they plan to go on consoles in August, and character will become free once a new season starts.
Also, the cosmetics aren’t just in the background, they shove it in your face the moment you open the game
There is also a book which explains that the battle are just a show

I missed the era of Lucasarts.
Dark forces/Jedi series, X-wing series, old battlefront, forces unleashed, empire at war, rebel assault.....
They also provided expanded universe which do not conflict the original or add an IF factor to the universe.
Not counting some really great titles such as monkey island, sam & max.
I noticed on like day 2 of the gamw the rieve bundle waa 1.99$ and as soon as that match up mode where you could play as her potentially had dropped it was then 8.99$ -_-

No. The devs have said that once the season ends the new characters get added to the Hunter unlock. Tal is currently A tier with possibly the 2nd best ultimate in the game. This game is fantastic and plays even better on switch. I think that if it last for a while they will release it onto other consoles and PC but have no plans to do it at the moment. I’m a day one player and have already spent money. It’s a fun game with a good gameplay loop and enough different characters to get something different every game. I would think if the game continues to be a success they will add a new character every 2 months. So every battle pass. The controls are easy and the only legit complaint I have is that the graphics seems super scaled back along with the FPS. Overall the game is a solid 8.5/10 with the only missing things being more hunters, better graphics and frame rate, and the inability to really play it on other consoles. It’s free to play. And the newest Hunter isn’t even the best, right now you get the best Hunter in the game second.
I hope this game lasts, just recently passed my 24 hours of game time milestone and it’s so fun, Sentinel is definitely my favorite character and there actually is a setting to disable auto fire if you were wondering!
It’s honestly fun, the most fun character I’ve play is the Mando and the Storm trooper
I played for a hot minute, but it kind of gets pretty boring when there’s only two modes and the content feels so recycled.

I didn’t see anything about this game until a week ago, and honestly it’s not bad. It’s like that bounty hunter vehicle game from the PlayStation one day. The characters are unique and fun, and the arena fighting style in this game is great.
Definitely some downsides but nothing crazy.

I've been playing Hunters a lot and having a blast on both Switch and mobile. The only thing you "have to" buy is the battle pass which is $ 10 and lasts for 2 months. There's plenty of stuff in there.
The mando will be released for free after the season. Also, the characters are very well balanced. My main is the human medic that Michael doesn't like and I dominate with her on ranked. The stormtrooper is my other and it is OP and so cool. All tier lists online have very different choices since the balance is so good.
The menus are horrible though, it tries to sell you a lot of cosmetics (nothing that gives you advantage) and it feels slightly clunkier than Overwatch, but for a mobile game the gameplay is more than fine.
10:56 It's not even that. On switch autofire is already off. It just feels like a Standart console shooter. They could easily bring it to pc and other consoles.
You can play this via Bluestacks on PC. Maybe...hopefully...they'll go the path of Mech Arena and just adapt the game to PC via their own launcher in the future and have dedicated servers for PC players. It's definitely a fun game! I feel a little guilty possibly having an advantage using M/K vs controllers and phone/tablet players. I simply cannot play this with a touch screen. I might have to try it out on one of my son's switch's. LOL!
The most important thing to remember is that NONE of the premium purchases are needed! Unless you want a cool character to play as!

That's the one thing I don't like in many Star Wars games. You have to pay money to be able to get the best of the game. I've never made it past Level 60 in Star Wars: The Old Republic because to continue to the next story arc, you have to pay money.

The game has a lot of opportunity and if they don’t try and overload with content then I think it could be good
Something annoying the game does is that sometimes they put bots in your games with realistic player names, the bots are usually easier to defeat, making you more likely to continue playing the game because you feel like you’re doing well, then you start playing against real players and it’s a bit of a rude awakening.
Yall I’ve been waiting for this game for about two years now. I looked up “Star Wars”, this showed up, and I waited. And waited. And waited. And then it came out and was just Star Wars overwatch.
