I know y'all are worried about people disliking the new format but honestly keeping the old format but losing Nicole and Parker would've been 100x worse. I look forward to this series continuing with them and hopefully if they find the time getting to come in for other series this way
IMO netero's speech about humanity's infinite potential for evolution is a rebuttal to the king talking about how humans are inferior cause of all these things like their individuality holding them back as a species. The background info about how the bomb was low budget and easily mass produced is supposed to show how much destruction humanity is capable of doing with something so cheap and simple. Just imagine what a "high budget" bomb can do. I think the King thinks he has humans figured out because ironically he is only looking at humans on an individual scale (like how he respects people like netero or komugi) and has no clue what collectively they are capable of doing
My only qualm with this is that Netero tries to belittle the king by saying humans will always evolve but the king and most of the ants are also human so they as well will always evolve. One might even argue that the Ants as they are right now is an evolved version of humans already. So Netero’s insult doesn’t hit deep. He merely educated the king that the Ants are proof of humans potential to evolve.
Ooof, what an impactful episode! From showing a montage of the Miniature Rose being used, to Gons cold af expressions and actions, to Youpi and Poufs horror at whats happened to the King. Fantastic episode
The chimera ant arc is probably the best arc in any shonen manga/anime. the way it pulls the rug from under the viewers with turning almost every shonen trope on it's head is truly amazing. The realistic depiction of what you get when you put a little kid in a story/situation of death, genocide and war is the icing on the cake as well.
For some reason, I like this reaction format more lol also 24:38 I think it is supposed to symbolize the Hiroshima-Nagasaki incident, and Parker brought up a good thought-provoking question there that I didn't think of before... and I feel like that ties up nicely with Netero's statement -> "You know nothing of the bottomless malice within the human heart."
I feel so bad for Komugi, to wake up in the middle of a stressful and awful situation, had to be highly jarring and scary for the young lady. I really don’t know how to feel about Gon in this situation. Threatening Komugi and wanting to use her as a hostage is a far cry from the kind happy-go-lucky we met at the start of the series. I really don’t like seeing Gon in this state of mind and being either Lady Samantha.
Gon has always been a psycho. You can catch glimpses of it with how indifferent he is to what happens to strangers that have no relationship with him. He's lucky he was raised in an isolated island by a loving family and neighbours. If he grew up in garbage city for example, he'd probably be leading the phantom troupe by now.
26:36 the place were they fought was an underground designed to test and mitigate the effects of weapons of mass destruction. was part of the netero plan to go there so he was definitely considering the side effects of the bomb
"If you try to delay me again I'll kill her" Dang I forgot how shitty Gon turned into this part. It's like him and Meruem were moving on opposite directions on the "being a decent human" scale
I can totally understand you feelings on being conflicted on the battle between King Meruem and Netero, Lady Samantha, either outcome of would have major consequences and repercussions. Especially in Meruem case. The imagery and talks about bombs reminded me of Chernobyl disaster.
I love the line about the miniature rose being cheap and mass produced. It shows that even something humanity considers to be a "weak" weapon is enough to checkmate Meruem. He truly did underestimate humanity's infinite potential for malice
I think what the king meant by a special spot for human habitation, he meant like a select state or city or whatever, where people were allowed to live freely.
Wait, is the bomb realy in netero's heart? 😮 I always thought that they put the bomb in that place and netero's heart was just to activate it? So which one is it? 😅
yea bro he's 13 and he's broken emotionally and mentally lmao. people acting like gon is some evil twisted psychopath might be my biggest pet peeve in the world
@@Kenzo411able you don't have to be likeable to be popular or similar to other characters. Gon is not even that unique in the realm of anime MC's. He's just a very unlikable person beneath all the cuteness imo

If im not mistaken, neteros speech actually said "infinite capacity for malice"
Evolution fits way better. People just like to mention "malice" because they think it makes them cool.
@@SadRengo its both, but the japanese word used in the anime was for evolution specifically

Gon isn't someone you would call a happy-go-lucky since he was never a slave to his fortunes.

React Pack Reunion for the ending

Menace Gon has entered the chat 😯
king becoming a human yet gon becoming a monster. irony as its best
Oh boy we're getting really close now to that epsiode 💯😂
Low budget doesn’t mean cheap btw lol they are just highlighting that something so powerful and destructive is very easy to produce
Man the wait to the inevitable episode is killing me 🤣
Word up hopefully they have the box of tissues ready 💯😂
Nice the covid style reaction is back
😂😂
Not having nicole and parker would be a mistake. They could be camless or in 240p resolution and it would be better than not having them here.
The most sad thing is that they won't be together i nthe same room to share the emotions of 2 of the best episodes in anime history.
This is constancy, having all people to react. Keep it up.
I'll miss the legs
👀
Why did you put Parker in the middle? I don't mind the remote setup, but at least keep the order the same!
5:38 You know a bomb's strong when people think its Hiroshima
im gonna miss the legs uwu

Gon is definitely wrong here. There's a reason he never wins any popularity polls despite being the mc. What a dark character.
