its like best drink and best food, both are sustenance but different lol.
both has good world building, good character development.
other anime normally has shallow world building and forgetable character.

  • @BackTiVi

I'm not sure where I read that, but an interesting analogy for what Gon did is the act of giving a blank check to his nen. Like, he simply asks for the power to avenge Kite by killing Pitou, and he's letting nen decide for the price. That's why he says "I don't care if this is the end": he's fine with any price that his nen deems appropriate, to the point where he doesn't even mind dying right after.
In practice, as Pitou conjectured, Gon is likely to at least no longer be able to use nen ever again. He sacrificed his bottomless potential for growth for "just" a temporary power on par with that of Meruem (well, at least pre-revival Meruem).

@@shrbmr no characters powerscaling is 100% accurate, Colt also said Netero would be unable to scratch the king, hence people just assuming suicide-bomb Gon is around the level of The King that Pitou knew. Post-rose king was immensely more powerful hence most people assuming even if Gon could fight and end up killing The King (as Pitou knew him) the fight after The King grew stronger would turn out differently.
Like I said though, you never know in HxH, everything is hypothetical and in constant flux depending on different aspects (intelligence, confidence, ability matchups etc. all play such a huge role. Doesn't really matter though imo because The King's story was not connected to Gon's at all, aside from viewing them as parallels. There was no world where this arc would've concluded with a fight between them and both can't fight each other now anyway so there's no need to consider it, both were the pinnacle of individual raw power, yet still both below the malicious evolution of mankind)

What Gon did is similar to what Kurapika did. "Condition and Covenant". Kurapika's case, his "Chain Jail" can only be used to the Phantom troupe only and in exchange making it more durable. In Gon's case , all of his Nen, Talents, Future, etc. everything he has now and he will going to be in the future is the sacrificed to get that immense aura and power equal to the king for the sole purpose of killing Pitou and nothing else.
"Condition and Covenant" is like setting an specific rule to your specific ability or nen itself in exchange of something. The greater risks, the favourable the effects will be. But breaking the rules set will result to drawbacks like losing the ability to use nen and/or worst case scenario, losing your own life.

It’s ironic that Gon, the character that up till this point had been a ball of innocence, positivity and empathy, sacrificed their entire life to kill someone. For one dull moment of wrath and hatred.
Whereas Pitou, a monster that killed people out of curiousity, satisfaction and entertainment, felt genuine sympathy for the person whom they had caused such pain and suffering, and sacrificed her life to Gon in order to protect the king.
The protagonist is sacrificing themselves to kill someone, whereas the monster is sacrificing themselves to protect someone.
The chimera ant arc really does show there was never any difference between the ants and the humans.
They’re both simply fighting for the sake of the prosperity of their species and out of fear of a more powerful, seemingly monstrous creature.
Both sides were equally capable of cruelty towards their own species and towards others.
The only difference was that humans had been at the top of the world for far longer, and can crush ants under their feet whenever they want to.

Something most people miss is that you can hear Killua's footsteps in this episode. Killua trained so much to make himself silent and it's pointed out really early on. But his concern for Gon made him disregard years of training that probably was subconscious at this point.

You can actually hear Killua's footsteps multiple times in the series. Hell, even in the manga Killua has some sfx for running in other places. I think it's more that Killua thinks very highly of his abilities and is a bit vain, so he got a bit carried away when Melody praised him.

Its called a "Nen Vow". Basicly used as a limiter for nen power to make them stronger in return, like Kite with his "Crazy Slots". He cant choose a specific weapon but in turn they all become stronger. Here Gon just made a vow to himself and by extension his nen. "No matter the price, i want the power to kill Pitou" So he trades all the Power ho could ever have as a one in tenmillion nen talent for this buff no matter the consequences, even death if it comes to that. His body turns into the most powerfull peak he could ever achieve through training, his nen reserves and output go through the roof. All for his one goal he must fulfill right this instant.

If this is one in a million, then how about those one in ten million, one in hundred million? They would literally be Mereum level and it will just put the entire power scaling to shit. That would mean Hisoka, the Troupe, and literally almost every other human characters we have seen to be totally shit

  • @Vernnell
    @Vernnell หลายเดือนก่อน +5

People really try to guess how this conclusion will be, but it is simple, you are seeing a broken boy that lost his father figure and snap just to massacre in cold blood the killer, not heroic anime moment, not a surprise twist and not someone reaching there to help, just him losing it all for vengeance.
Like in the last page of this manga chapter say: "The lost was too great".
You have a master piece of episode here, the pacing, the soundtrack, how is directed, is just pure perfection.
And is just sad, Gon throwing away everything for the sake of revenge and Killua reaching to him too late just to watch his friend die.
Now to finish this awesome series.
Edit: And yes Hunter x Hunter is one of the best animes ever made, no one admit it openly because of backlash, because people have biases, which is normal, but if you talk critically about it, Hunter x Hunter would be on top, 148 episodes of good constant animation, great story, great characters, nice development, good soundtrack and overall a good series to be immersed.
Is impressive and it really should be mentioned more openly.

Also, I assure you, Luke, Hunter×Hunter is UP THERE. Even in the animes I have yet to watch, I know for certain that only a couple of them could actually surpass H×H.
    My favorites animes being
    1. One Piece
    2. Attack On Titan
    - 3. Hunter×Hunter -
    4. Vinland Saga
    5. Fullmetal Alchemist (Brootherhood)

HXH is the Best anime ever!!
I watched naruto, shippuden, Bleach, one piece and thousands of animes in my life since childhood, and now that I'm 35 years old, nothing better than HXH!
I wonder why it is not included in the so called " Big Three " , it should have been " the Big Four " while HXH is the 1st top place!

the big 3 is a myth anyway, it was a reference to the 3 anime that were dominating the top 3 position for many years, but in reality it was only a big 2 since bleach only was in the top3 once, while one piece and naruto were top 2 for like 4-5years, but they mostly took the spot becasue of a lack of competition, there was other that peak higher like death note, but were short and already over, while i agree that HxH is the best, it doesn't get the popularity it deserve and it reach its popularity peak before the "big3" anyway
in any case, the real number 1 is dragonball, can't really explain why it's so overwhelmingly popular, but nothing have ever been close to reach that popularity

@@gizel4376 has to do with the story of dragonball and gokus growth since he was a small child. No anime is nearly as popular as Dragonball. Countries all over the world host events and venues open seating for dragonball episodes. Its not even a top 1 anime. Its just highly respected as the Godfather of all anime.

Hxh anime is the best solely for the reason that it's able to illicit such depth and emotions over a fraction of chapters that others have WHILE daring to touch on multiple themes consistently every arc. Go through the past arcs and think about how well it executes each one. From hxh exam all the way to election arc and tell me what other anime has had excellent writing and delivery over compared to other shows' themes that require entire focus to make the same impact. That's how good Togashi is and i will never understand the ppl who rate it lower just cuz of hiatus? How is thar relevant when comparing quality and substance?

It is weird to judge someones reaction, but this reaction is exactly right. This is the result of betrayal and absolute despair. It is the reaction I had. Gon's look at the end always gets me. This is the point the MC throws it all away for revenge. His life and future no longer mean anything at this moment. I feel the whole "no Nen" is a little confusing, because it actually means he will be kind of lifeless after that, since it is his life energy he is trading. It is insane but dark and extremely tragic.

Luke, most popular or the best anime list have HxH in the top 5 or at least top 10. But there're good reason why HxH not more popular with how good the story is.
    1. The author is sick and it put the series on constant hiatus.
    2. It falls in the more complicated story. Some people don't like to think hard when watching shows, or they could completely miss some plot points.
But all in all HxH is a very respected series that liking it won't make people calls you basic shonen fans. I seriously recommend you read the manga and Kurapika's back story after finishing the anime

03:13 Pitou is surprisingly too nice.
The right move would have been to kill Gon immediately after healing this arm.
Instead, we get the classic villain mistake of explaining the next move, giving Gon a few seconds to realize the situation and switch his mood.
03:38 ... and Pitou is slowly realizing the mistake only after it's too late.
11:12 "Is that Gon's original form?"
Killua just explained how this is the opposite.
It's Gon's _future_ form, assuming he spends nearly all his time training.
This is a concept that is not unique to this anime, but it's pretty rare still: borrowing strength for your future self.
When Gon said "I'll use it all" a few minutes earlier, he really meant using all the Nen he would get in his whole life, all at once.
Also, you sometimes wondered what "angry Gon" would look like. You have the answer here. Imagine how tough it was not spoiling it.

you can't say that the big animes like one piece or naruto are better then hunter x hunter, they are just showing more depth of their world. Hunter x hunter is one of the best animes with more than 50 episodes. But for me it's more the short animes with just 12 or 24 episodes, which got the real bangers. The ones which you say "Okay, let's make an anime weekend and rewatch the whole anime X". When i think about animes like hunter x hunter i say for example "let's rewatch the greed island training arc".

  • @michailvolski5035
    @michailvolski5035 หลายเดือนก่อน

Hunter Hunter IS mentioned among the best. It's easily up there, but there are so many , dozens if not more, of shows of this quality that have been lost to time. Anime has changed, and the true legends of anime are watched by lesser people. The 80's and 90's still haven't been surpassed imo, although I do agree , AoT is also pretty good and there's usually at least one decent show per year ( for me at least, there's an average of 1 good anime a year that I find). I'm hoping that the Korean market picks up in the future and we start getting japanese studios covering foreign IPs. Anyways , the Hunter Hunter manga is still dropping , can't wait for the eventual continuation of the anime!!!!

"giving up everything" to defeat "Pitu" what that intails isn't clear but he has probably willing to die and his ability is conditional on the fight with her. Meaning that he had a very strong constrictor but a cost that is very open to interpretation. It probably comes down to what gone values most about himself. pitu does not know what he gave up on. Nighter do we because his phrasing is very loose. it is very simelar to the restriction that kurapika set on himself about only fighting the phantom troop with a given ability just a lot more open to cost and it is restricted by time and to ONE person. Pitu also speculated about loosing nen and secreafcing his latend potential or life force. all those restrictions and costs made him so strong.
He would however not have been able to kill the king in my opinion. The anime portrays it like he could kill him but pitu only said that his claws might be able to reach the king. that statement was also based on the kings strenth before netero fought meruim. he might be able to fight him if petu underestimated the king a lot but i doubt that gon could defeat him in this condition.
