The synthwave-motifs really make this theme stand out, it really sounds futuristic, but it still doesn't differ too much from the overall H3 town theme style. Excellent work!
This. This coming to the roots of mam could make H3 stand out. Today you have hundreds of fantasy games looking the same. This would be awesome and unique. Stupid fans, they destroyed Heroes.
No Factory its difrrent faction from the Forge. Forge and Factory can be together in the game. Heroes 3 still demands Forge to this day @@Cyberdemon1542
I've flip-flopped on Forge throughout the years, but ultimately, I'm personally glad they didn't go through with it. The sci-fi stuff in Might and Magic only ever appeared right at the end of the game to both subvert this otherwise standard fantasy world and signal that shit was getting serious. But making that endgame stuff appear on random maps, having like laser gun goblins guarding lumber mills... I dunno. I think it wouldn't hit right.
Боже, как же атмосферно! Жаль, что из-за недалеких фанатов мы не увидели оригинального Форджа... А эта одна из лучших фанатских реализаций сей фракции. Но вот то, что это VCMI... Does a video like this exist for the current iteration of the Factory? I really love the music of the current one but can't find any kind of pure soundtrack link anywhere
1. The authors of this mod are not associated with HotA Crew, thus Heavenly Forge for VCMI should NOT be seen as an old version of Factory from HotA. 2. Since Factory within HotA has not been released yet, there is no official music (nor actual townscreen, for that matter, only proof of concept).
Yes, it was already pointed out in the comments. In music theory, it's called quotation. Paul Romero, the composer for HoMM series, borrowed from some classical pieces in his compositions, most notably Berlioz's "Dies Irae" can be heard in several of his works (e.g. Necropolis theme from H3).
This is an original soundtrack made by me for the Heavenly Forge mod, which can be installed on VCMI (Heroes 3 "modding platform"). In description I mentioned how to install it.
Im sorry but I dont like the town screen. Its more black colour than necropolis, more black than dungeon, so it doesnt match existing style of the game. Also Im aware thats how the night looks like in real life, its black as hell, but this is a game and shouldnt be that 100% exact. High contrast white lights only makes black feel even more blackier. Any chance to reconsider colour palette? Changing ground to even brown would maybe suffice. Its too bad because otherwise town and units are a very good job.
I am sorry, but no one pointed out any problems with colours for over 5 years. In fact, this townscreen IS brown - the sky is somewhat dark gray, but most of the scenery (apart from shining metallic structures) is almost as brown as the colour of the in-game dirt. Maybe you are misguided by the overall contrast of the townscreen, or maybe even other factors (like white colour of TH-cam page). In any case, such complaint is rather new, and this project, as I mentioned, isn't very fresh. Anyhow, there are no plans of redesigning the town's look. In terms of graphics, we are as pleased as one can get. The only thing that could be somewhat fixed are the mechanics, but that's another story.
@Maciej Wróblewski well, few months ago on hirawka facebook somebody commented "i love it when i can't see a city, Black is so nice". So it makes two of us, who think this is way too black. When i increase brightness to maximum it starts looking little better, but i can't keep screen ultrabright, its not healthy nor pleasant.
@@mortadellawhiskey I find the Forge to be the right coloration as wasn't the Forge supposed to be the result of Castor taking over Deyja in the storyline, where he combined the Heavenly Forge to Deyja's necromancers? The incredibly dark environment is synonymous to the Necropolis as it's in the same geographic location, right? Great job.

Anyone else think this loosely resembles New World Symphony 9 fourth movement?
Of course! The last part is an homage to Dvorak's masterpiece, so this is purely intentional.

The beginning is very similar to the Armageddon's Blade campaign theme (which unfortunately doesn't play in the game, and instead Good Theme plays).
szczerze? Wersja z 1.3 bardziej przypadła mi do gustu. Nie wiem, chyba sekcje smyczkowe wydają mi się mniej wyraziste

Dobrze, że nie wprowadzili tego miasta, bo całkowicie odstaje od klimatu gry, natomiast jako mod czy ciekawostka, spoko.

3:00 that's taken from a popular classical music piece.
