- FRANK FINALLY DID IT BOIS! Way farther into the 10's that I ever could have imagined! The stock internal turbo GSR engine and I have been working our selves to the bone to break into the 10 second car realm. It so surreal that the little Frankenstein Honda Civic pulled it off. Just finished my 99 civic coupe dx swap to GSR ( B18C with GSR Transmission with a LSD and LS 5th Gear), Threw on the hondata and got her running great, now it is time to install that turbo kit and get nasty! Hoping for in the 10s like you!

That's a low 10 second car if you would sit on the 2 step to build boost. Your car can 2 step but your turbo needs time to spool up. Take your time, race your car, not the other driver next to you. Once you light the first bulb, start 2 steping and watch your boost gauge while your preloading and bumping into the next tree bulb. You'll get it homie, congrats on a great 10 second pass. Streetcar baby!

You deserve a better tune bro. Your idle/cruising afr is what a car at full boost should see and the top of your power band is hitting 12.5 (afr an all motor car should be at). You need to lean out the bottom end and add some fuel right before redline.

Sounds like you are feathering the throttle not holding it down for 2 step to actually engage and build boost definitely had a lower 10 in it for sure!

you give me so much inspiration for my build. i blew up my rsx and was really sad but seeing you rebuild your civic and do things like this gave me hope. so i brought a 99 civic ex coupe and i put a fully built H22 in it. its ready for turbo but im saving up some more money just in case things go wrong. keep pushing man you're gonna do great things with your hondas!!

Raise your shiftpoint with atleast 300 rpm more and also raise your limitter with 500 rpm and stay in 4th gear. Shifting into 5th will kill your mph and e.t. Believe me.
A little weight reduction, some more tuning, and maybe a slipper clutch and that thing is doing 9s.

I can’t really tell what technique you’re using to launch, but if you aren’t pre-loading, you should definitely start doing that. You’ll get much more consistent launches that way
Put the car in first gear and allon the break and launcher
Imagine if you hit the 4-5 and didn't essentially coast thru the finish! 10.5 EASSSYYYY 🤯
All he needs to improve is reaction time, he's still over 1.0 and should be aiming for consistent .5-.7's to get that little edge on the launches.. that's -.3 right there. It comes with experience, your brain adapts to the tree and you get quicker - just don't redlight! :L
rewatching videos of your launches also helps acclimate to the timing since you were there, and can see the delays for yourself in hindsight.
@@kiraleaf reaction time has nothing to do with your ET. The time doesn't start until you trip the beams. He could've sat there for 10 seconds on the last run before taking off and his time would've still been a 10.71.

Quick restart of the ecu. Idk what it’s actually doing, but it takes the car out of limp mode cold start protection.

I was 2 stepping at like 7k rpm my guy.
@@boosted_john John it looks like you feather it in and out of two step . I'm seeing and hearing you hold it at 7 for 1.5-2 seconds, let off and get back in. It all depends on how much boost you're making with those 1-2 seconds at 7k but then you feather out and boost pressure drops. Commit to holding into your two step for 3-5 seconds before you leave off, maybe just a bit longer. Tune your 2step for X lbs of boost you want to leave off on. Give the turbo some time to eat and ride out when it is. Congrats on your 10 bro.

This was my bros ek9 with a gsr turbo motor back in the day. He did 13's, and back then that was fast (lol). Props to you and your build and quest for goals. I always have a place in my heart for the EG platform! Even though my jam is with Nissans.

What I meant was that I didn’t care that he double bulbed me because I was going to gap tf out of it.
Don't want to sound like a buzz Killington but that time doesn't seem right at all. You were doing 130s all day, then you ran almost half a second faster with less MPH. Also you hit rev limit in that pass, the other passes didn't hit or didn't hit so early, so clearly you are going faster than 123 MPH.
Do it again.
