-2.5 to -2.6 degrees of camber really isn’t enough for these cars for track duty. I started at -2.7 for the first track day I did on my FG2 and it was still a little understeery… next time went to -3.7 and it was way better, everything from turn in to steady state cornering to trying to accelerate through a corner, it helped a lot. I’d recommend going at least -3.5 for the front. still playing with the rear settings, but prolly gonna land somewhere between -1.5 to -2.5
12k front 8k rear is a pretty strange spring rate setup (not sure if you spoke about that). These are inherently front limited cars so even if you prefer an understeery setup you still wouldn’t run a higher spring rate in the front than the rear. Something like 8k front 10-14k rear with at least a 22mm rsb and a max 245 tire, but ideally a 225-235 is the sweet spot. May be wrong but you’ll probably have a weird balance with a spring rate setup like that. I have stock bc coil spring rates with a 245 square setup and the balance sucks imo, I used to run 245s 200tw up front with the stock wheels and all seasons on the back and the balance was surprisingly great. Putting the 245 on the back with the camber necessary to clear (2.5) the car feels like it’s confused and a bit lazy on turn in and floaty mid corner. My advice would just be get a big rsb if you don’t already have one and don’t run too big of a grippy tire in the back. On track if you find it understeery still you can raise the rear tire pressures incrementally.
John just so you know dude, the spring rate is actually printed on the spring itself- if you google how to read spring rates you can work it out off that information.
Man, I just got my first Honda here in the US, I need some youtuber friends I can call up! That was a lucky save. I replaced my brakes, but now the entire like axle shakes when I press the brakes. Send over the Honda Boys lol
Buddyclub are amazing for the money, however for the money unless pre owned they’re a bit too expensive but not really. They’re amazing feel dampers and the 10k and 14k spring rates hold up super well even with daily driving, especially comfy. Def get some camber arms to get it really tuned in
@@boosted_johnI just seen that you were featured on another TH-cam channel. I believe shooting cars or something like that. Great video bro. I really need to upgrade all my handling and suspension. Definitely using your videos
Not being hypercritical but I thought I let you know “goal” in the description (I do read it like the back of a book before you read :) ) but it’s spelled “ogal” but I love the vid John keep it up you’re a huge inspiration to me and I’ve been juggling with starting my own channel modding my cars but I’m super antisocial and shy on camera what would you say would be the best to over come that ?
Why would you dump more money in the 9th gen Civic just sell the 9th gen and keep the EK I bet you'll have more viewers and people interested in that car

Start off by doing anonymous videos. Don’t show your face. Take the Chris fix or alldayanthony approach.
The Japanese music is 🔥
Tim? name for the 8th gen?
“Don’t respect all builds…” (Proceeds to eat a hotdog with two weenies)
i hate adjusting the rear on those civics
Fat Man or Enola Gay is about the most "anti-ricer" name you could give it...maybe too anti-ricer.

Pshhh
