Lumens will only give you the brightness measurement in a specific frequency or small range of that particular led. The cri or color rendering index will give a better idea of the spectrum coverage. I prefer a high cri warm white led, which will render outdoor backgrounds nicely and will be easier to discern shape and color. Warmer colors will also be better for fog.
I just put the GTRLU2 on my 2017 4Runner and this replaces the Morimoto 2stroke 2.0 I had on prior and it’s quite a bit brighter. The throw is also better but still not as bright as the Lexus GX460 OEM LED headlights but it’s like 60% there. A bit expensive but if you have halogen low beams and want something a bit more modern looking the GTRLU2 are good if you can afford it.
Me too because i had the hikari ultra and its extremely amazing but pricey too . So if this product perform better than hikari and i doubt . I will go for it for sure . He didnt mention hikari ultra in the video by the way he mentioned eye of megatron and ultra is way powerful.

I've got the Morimoto HID's and have had nothing but failed ballasts and now one of the PWM's is failing and I'm just done. Why only halogen style collars and no "D" series for original hid systems replacement? As far as I'm aware, this bulb outperformed even 55w hid system.
@@HeadlightRevolution any recommendations for a H9 Dual Beam? I have one projector for the high and low beam and the leds I currently have are terrible. What’s would be the brightest set?
How does this bulb perform in a KC daylighter/Apollo housing, or a PIAA 540 housing? I mean, yes, there are a lot of great lights right now, especially the yellow ones, but some of the older housings are tailored to a given build and are only in need of some new kick-ass bulbs. I got some supernova V-4's in amber, and PerfectFit's that really work great.
They sound awesome, now I need to find out how much these bad boys cost; and the runner up is: I have one ride I will, but the 2nd I don't know and that's the one I'm looking for!
I just got these today for a Subaru Legacy... Waiting for the darkness. I have a question... Is this supposed to be very hot to the touch? I grabbed it after turning it on to make sure the polarity was correct and man they were hot!
They are producing a ton of light, so they will for sure get very hot to the touch! Any light source will produce a little bit of heat, and when you increase the power of the light source or the brightness, you will get more heat as well.

What is the difference between 9 clock and horizontal. What is the best to throw the beam well. My car is Nissan Patrol y62. Thank you
They need to be side to side, this is how the reflectors are designed to focus the light!
How well do they work in reflector housings with those plastic bulb holders. It's an older car 2004 Olds Alero.
How do the Ver2 compare to the previous GTR Lighting Ultra Series LED?
Can u test 9004 Led headlight by sealight x1. For a Nissan frontier. 2000. Thanks
Have y’all tested out Vision Pro led bulbs?
I have a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer OZ Rally. It has a 9007 base. Would the GTR Ultra LED 2 be better or the PIAA Platinum LED ?
Your website says it's for Fog lamp bulb, is it suitable for headlight?
I wonder if the GTR Ultra 2 is ok in a reflector housing? Or only good with a projector? Thank you for this helpful video.
They work great in reflectors!
The fan and heat sink is HUGE on these. What cars actually fit such a huge rear without issues??
We've managed to fit them in most applications. For the applications they do not fit, the S-V.4 does!
How well do they work on stock 06 super duty headlight housings
Okay. So new to having a newer car, was surprised it didn't come with leds. Pretty bummed actually. I've heard you need resistors but also heard you don't? Is that what the box is in between the light & the plug? Vehicle is a 2015 ford expedition limited. Any idea??
You'll need PWM modules for your low beams, otherwise it's all plug and play!
Have they been tried in the WK2 non HID headlights? Or are HID still the best option?
Thank you for giving me the info I was looking for in choosing a led bulb for my 2018 Tacoma.
No problem 👍
Would I need any other hardware to be installed with these led bulbs on my 2013 Ford Edge to avoid flickering or codes ??
Not likely to need PWMs with Ford vehicles!
Why only halogen style collars and no "D" series for original hid systems replacement? As far as I'm aware, this bulb outperformed even 55w hid system.
Is the H9 high beam and low beam?
The H9 is a single filament bulb so no high beam function unfortunately.
@@HeadlightRevolution any recommendations for a H9 Dual Beam? I have one projector for the high and low beam and the leds I currently have are terrible. What’s would be the brightest set?
Awesome!
How does this build compare to the S-V.4?
How well would this bulb work on my 15’ Subaru Legacy with projector headlights? Or which HID Bulb would you recommend?
How does this bulb perform in a KC daylighter/Apollo housing, or a PIAA 540 housing?
I mean, yes, there are a lot of great lights right now, especially the yellow ones, but some of the older housings are tailored to a given build and are only in need of some new kick-ass bulbs. I got some supernova V-4's in amber, and PerfectFit's that really work great.
These will perform great in nearly every halogen replacement application!2
Are these advisable for reflector type headlamps? If not, are projectors type lens available for H4 socket?
Excellent tutorial, spoken clearly and delivered detailed information that was easy to follow. Thank you.
Thank you for watching!
Does it fit at my Golf 7 and which plug should I choose?
They sound awesome, now I need to find out how much these bad boys cost; and the runner up is: I have one ride I will, but the 2nd I don't know and that's the one I'm looking for!
Will these work in cars too? I only see trucks listed on the website. Specifically a 2010 Honda Accord?
Yes, they sure do work on cars!
You tested these bulbs in a projector headlight housing, do they work in a reflector housing just as well?
Yes they do. We’ve done a lot of vehicle specific testing with these bulbs, You could check those videos out if you’re curious!
@@HeadlightRevolution Awesome! Thank you for responding! I also have the GTR CSP minis in the fog lights. Now I can actually see at night! I want to also add the GTR Ultra 2 9005 to the high beams, but my concern is those are the daytime running lights (kinda weird) seems like they're a soft light during the day and bright at night when you turn the high beams on. Will the GTR's do the same?
Unfortunately, we do not have a bulb that will work with that voltage drop DRL, you would have to go with a pair of halogen replacements. I wish I could be of more help there, let me know if there is anything else I can do for you!
I have linked the halogen bulbs I would recommend to you here: headlightrevolution.com/9005-halogen-osram-cool-blue-boost/
Thank you , What do you recommend for RAM WARLOCK ?
We have a ton of Ram videos! Check them out here: www.youtube.com/@HeadlightRevolution/search?query=ram
I just want to know what LED is a best fit for my 2007 Acura TL Type-S HID housing and if the ballast needs to be replaced how to do it with the Ultra and stock harness. Not trying to get into wiring a harness.
Ultra is an LED bulb, it won't be compatible with an HID headlight - if you have OEM HID headlights, all you need to do is replace the HID bulbs! 🙌🏻
What do you guys think of the street glow led head light bulbs?
Never heard of them!
What about reflector type headlight housings?
