    Don't know why she's crying. She essentially got what she said she was willing to do: Every 2nd Saturday supervised visitation for 2 hours providing she provides a clean hair folicle test. She says she's clean and willing to do supervised visitation. What's the problem, huh?
    (I'm being somewhat facetious, of course)

    • @adamsmall5598
      @adamsmall5598 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      If you notice, the way the Judge says it: "I can't give you regular visitation ..." He starts with that, and that's when she starts getting emotional. When he follows up with the supervised visitation she starts nodding and looks like she tries to pull it together. But it would have been a tremendous blow to me to hear those words myself when I was a young father. I'd get pretty choked up too. Even (perhaps especially) if it were my own fault.

However, even before the Judge was making his ruling, (when she was testifying earlier in the hearing) she had acknowledged she wasn't going to be looking at normal visitation. Which is what I did when i heard those words, and only realized my mistake when he granted the supervised. I can easily see her doing the same and feeling that loss.
      She agreed readily enough to the drug testing, and nodded repeatedly when the judge told her that the visits wouldn't start until she submitted one, so it looked to me like she was committed to trying. She claimed to be clean for at least a few months, and I didn't see any reason to automatically reject that claim. I think a little benefit of the doubt is reasonable here.

    It’s mind blowing to me how many mothers are not doing right by their kids. Thankful this child has a father who is. As a mom, I cannot imagine not being my best for my children always. These moms give the good moms a bad name. I see more moms that don’t have their kids due to their drug addiction or being in abusive relationships or being an abuser of some sort than I do dads on these videos. It’s sad. Do better moms.

    Thankfully I was able to help my sister in law and the kids get away from him 4 years ago and they are all now doing so well!! This woman definitely should NOT be allowed any contact until she goes through rehab and is clean and sober!

    You can have supervised visitation. Per a worker. Who has a safe building, cameras. If she’s not actively using, she should be allowed to see her baby. My ex per dhs, was still allowed to have supervised visitation a few hours a week. That’s not unreasonable.

    You can tell Dad still cares about her. He looked hurt when she started to cry. And he's willing to allow her to see the baby if she takes the drug test. That's really good, that he is being so protective while still keeping the door open to Mom stepping back in with safety in place. Good job Dad. I really hope Mom can get herself on track and be successful. She obviously has some love for her child. And, there's a little girl who will always need her Mother.

    As someone who’s children’s bio father is similar to the bio mother her but far worse, I can say that my now 8 year old is impacted, even with an amazing father who has raised him, he still wonders why his bio dad didn’t stick around, who was he, and has even asked, “did he just hate me?”.
    I think even if someone is too dangerous to care for the child or be unsupervised with the child, that if an addicted parent is willing to show consistency via counseling and just fucking showing up, and willing to abstain for a supervised video call, then I think the calls should be allowed in place of supervised in person visitation. But ONLY if they can show consistency regularly for an extended period, and can abstain and be checked prior to the child having access to the call to ensure they aren’t plastered.
    It’s sad, but it would just be so much easier if I could show my son that at least his bio father cares and is out there thinking about him, but is just too sick to be a dad to him which is why his “real dad” stepped in that place. I can tell him that, but him actually having his bio dad show up twice a year for a call would make all the difference, but he won’t day any of it, no counseling, no abstaining temporarily, and no call

      I give you credit for the way you think of bio dad. As an addict for over 2 decades ( say addict because even sober we know what we are ). I have known many women in recovery and the hardest part of being clean is knowing what you did for money. I consider the men that use them as dirtbags. Once you start getting clean then you look at all the people you hurt and every addict knows this. Never give up on an addict but banning them from your home is correct. Waiting for them to prove their clean takes years and isn't done in a year. I hope 1 day your son has a relationship with bio dad that doesn't ruin any relationship you have

    Is there a followup? I wanna know why she was crying at the end. Was it because she was going to get supervised visits or because she knew she wasn't going to pass a hair follicle test. How far back can a hair test say you have been doing any drugs? I can Google that last part but just curious.
    I like when channels show a followup to these kinds of stories, no matter how it turns out. Why didn't judge order her to submit to the test within 48hrs and to come back to court for a ruling? Or did I miss that part?
