For everybody:
Jailbreaking or Rooting isn't illegal, unless you do illegal stuff with it. So if you jailbreak your phone to get paid apps for free for example, then you are illegal. But since there is almost no way to get caught downloading paid apps for free, it isn't such a big deal, just like downloading music. What is illegal is if you, for example, use it to keylog, ddos, hack into wifi's.
Actually in android u can download paid apps from the internet without root and getting caught

Thanks Marques for another great video! One thing though, I think in iOS it's best to look up the version of iOS the phone is running before following instructions that may be outdated. This could easily sent the phone into a boot loop or worst brick the phone. Keep up the great videos!

This is great and informative as always especially for the average consumer that doesn't understand rooting or Jailbreaking. One thing I have noticed is that the Rooting community is more active and productive then iOS there's not as many good tweaks being made anymore.

Rooting is risky but completely worth it. I started rooting because my first android phone, the HTC eris, wasn't being supported properly and I wanted new software. Ever since, I've rooted all my phones. It's really hard to mess up the root process unless you are like DeeDee from Dexter's Lab and change things you shouldn't.

I am thinking about rooting my Android tablet,any advice on what site to use? I used pangu for IOS 7.1.2 . honestly I was scared to do it, I waited 3 years afraid I'd turn my phone into a paper weight but it was so smooth,easy, and fast! no issues at all so all that fear for nothing

Sir Pandalot I have also rooted (and bricked) 2 lg lancets because I installed supersu by accident and the lancet doesn't support supers so there goes a soft bricked phone

I've got a question about rooting. I heard it can be quite unsafe for some devices. Is this true? I've got a Samsung galaxy S2 and I really dislike the whole Touchwiz launcher and I want to use the standard Android version like Google meant it.
