@@jemuelsamuel4020 That's so misleading. S8 onwards have E-fuses in the main board that blow permanently on flashing custom software. An extra (probably unnecessary but still worth doing) tip, if you're going to flash your phone or work with ADB, I suggest using an extra cable that's only meant for flashing that way it's always ready to go and reliable. I find it interesting that you always like to use Magisk to patch the stock boot image instead of flashing a new recovery like TWRP to flash the entire Magisk ZIP itself
By using MAGISK ONLY method, it will save you a lot of times when you need to re-root again the same device. Situation like you receive a system update and installed the update. Root is gone. All you need to do is download the ROM you just updated and patch the boot.img file to root the device again. TWRP is also good in terms of you are interested in trying different kinds of ROM which I'm not a big fan. I just need my device root and able to use TASKER.

For the life of me I can not find a way to unlock my bootloader. For SM-A125U (Samsung Galaxy A12). I have put it in fast boot and tried the commands for that. I'm at a loss.
OTA updates are released in waves... Sometimes it may happen that on manufacturer site there is newer firmware version then that one actually installed... So flashing patched boot.img from newer version to phone may end up with bootloop.. So always check if your phone running the latest version (if you download the latest version). Sometimes you may even get OTA update that is not present on manufacturers website yet so pay attention to that.

Do you know if this’ll work on Gpad 5? I can’t find anybody rooting it
My oem setting is gray... what i need to do about it?
at 5:25 im lost, am i supposed to be getting the factory image file for the phone im currently using during this process? or am I allowed to choose a factory image file of any type of phone?
Gotta get the exact one for your phone!
@@sambeckman im having trouble getting it. Its a Moxee MH-T6000 ive looked so hard everywhere for it and cant find it. My bootloaders unlocked and everythin too
@@kyleisdisturbed Yeah in that case, it might be a phone that is in the "too hard to root" basket. If you're into unlocking root access, it's always best to choose a phone that makes the process easy before purchasing. Sorry I can't be of more help.
@@sambeckman oh I didn’t buy this, it was given to me by Assurance Wireless, the phone itself was free along with the plan so I can’t complain. I have a different phone that’s supposed to be here tomorrow so hopefully I’ll have better luck with this one. Either way it goes I’ll do this process with better future phones later on. Thx for your help 💯💯💯
4:40 bro what happens if i enter wrong command?
If i entered wrong command can i get back to normal screen by turning off all bootloader.
Do you have to update every month or is it optional
Will rooting my phone disable the fingerprint reader? (I'm using a Galaxy A40)
can anyone got the link for samsung s20fe boot image
1:06 OK, but how do I back up my phone without root? (I want a _real_ backup, not Google's flaky garbage that ignores all the important apps.)
Cool video bro
I don't have a p.c but I was interested and still watched till the end
when i type in fastboot oem unlock nothing happens :( zte blade v10 vita
you need to check the command for your phone. like, search "how to unlock ZTE Blade v10 Vita bootloader".
huh. Try "fastboot flashing unlock"
you can't root newer vivo ans oppo phones beacuse they not allowthe user to unlock a bootloader and they did not release the sourcecode
Your beard is so glorious I can't take my eye off it
FINALY a tutorial that isn't indian

The middle part of the bootloader you had me fucced up
I tried this with a Pixel 3a, and now it's stuck in fastboot on the last step, where you load the Magisk file. It doesn't show up on my PC when I do './adb devices'. Help?
Thanks Sam, this tutorial help me a lot on rooting my pixel 3xl
if u guys had a problem match ur device model with the Firmware and the REgion too its wouldnt be a problem incase u cant read another Language
It doesn't work on Huawei phones unfortunately. The method for them is different and I'm not sure it still works
Thank you for the upload, I got close to the end but I don't have a boot image file and I can't find one for my Alcatel V1 5007u, do you know where I can find one?
can you make a tutorial on Razer Phone 2? I cant find a trust worthy article with drivers and adb folder.
Thanks so much! It's pretty a clear guild, at least for me. Question is why would brand name such as OPPO & VIVO are seems unwelcome unlock bootloader? I never can seek any of those brand a method against bootloader unlocking so that stopping me to buy these phone models. Do you have experience about it? Thanks edmond
Hi, I really like this kind of videos, good work! It's a long time ago I rooted my devices.
Are there any downsides now? Eg. does Google Pay, banking App, etc work with root enabled?
I currently have a Pixel 4 XL and Google Pay is a must have.
I use custom rom with root, Gpay works fine..
Nope.
Yo, sam, love your stuff. Would I be able to root my phone using a Windows surface 7
Yes, pretty confident you could do it using a Surface 👌🏻
@@sambeckman awsome thanks
Can you help me root my stylo 5 ive yried all kinds of different ways and norhing works
For the life of me I can not find a way to unlock my bootloader. For SM-A125U (Samsung Galaxy A12). I have put it in fast boot and tried the commands for that. I'm at a loss.
You need to access download mode in order to do it Samsung does not support fastboot commands

Factory Image File?
What is this file?
instead di ut via twrp method
My phone is the Galaxy A13 and in the developer options I don't have the option to turn on OEM unlocking and I couldn't do anything to get it to show up and one of the things it said I could do was remove my SIM card but my dad probably wouldn't want me to do that so I cant, so what can I do?
Why you didn't use custom recovery software like TWRP? and is it mus or necessary to install or flashed whatever!
Please help sir i rooted with this method but after rooting i am trying to flash magisk mudule on that after flash any kind of mudule phone's rom not working and stuck on bootloader again and again same problem i try all things than phone was hard bricked and i am back too full stock now😓

I loved the video and am excited about rooting my phone. I really want to install Magisk. However, I can't find anything about rooting a OnePlus Nord N10 5G (from Sprint/T-mobile). Do you have a video specific to this or one that shows how to install Magisk on this phone? Thanks...
Is there any point to rooting now that the system partition is read only on most devices?
I am currently trying to root my Samsung galaxy a8 and I factory reset my phone, installed all the necessary files and typed in the commands, but when I type in adb reboot bootloader my phone gets stuck on a screen that says "downloading..." and the option to cancel. I have been on this screen for 2 hours now and nothing is happening. Please help
You need to search TH-cam more against Samsung root. Downloading is correct but is meant require action from you, from your PC.
Okay just trying to be a lil helpful since I ran into this problem. If you try and type the file "cd platform tools" and get and an error saying s "the system cannot find the path specific". Put the WHOLE name in you can usually drag the file into the command prompt and it gives it to you. It should say CD C:\user\your name on computer \desktop\platform-tools_r30.0.5-your computer.
Hope this was helpful!!!!
I can't root my yuinque 5012... Can you please show me sir
