      It never ceases to amaze me how many times people have to build a "house" into the wheels instead of just embrace the life as is. In a car I'd just do this as well. In a van, I'd put a bed and recliner into it and roll 😅

    Great video, I’ve got a similar setup for my Outback. I did go with two small rooftop cargo boxes and an awning. I don’t have a fridge , but placed a yeti cooler on the floor behind passenger seat. The Walmart table rocks and fits perfectly. I went with the Exped MegaMat 10 mattress. Keep my WeatherTech shade’s between the table and mattress when not in use. I did the tint as well but not as dark. Looks great Tony - very stealth looking . Kudos

      Thank you so much for the feedback yes it sounds like you've got things worked out too. I didn't show it but I do have a tarp setup that comes off the back of the car it's in one of my car camping videos

      @ thanks! Yeah- I mentioned to you on the stream I’m relocating to Waynesville NC from Charleston SC. It’s a great small mountain town next to the Smoky National Park. Hard to leave the ocean, but I’ve lived in Charleston for 30 years and parents need help in NC. I plan to do lots of car camping! If ever in the area, give me a shout! Love to meet up

      Hi Tony 2.0! Hope all is well. I always circle back to this video to get more ideas. As mentioned, I did tint my windows but not nearly as dark. Im thinking of getting them done again (darker). I think you said zero on all rear side and hatch. Do you recall what percent was for front sides / windshield? Lastly, do you place/ pull a curtain of some sort to section off the front seat area when sleeping ? I’d suspect people could look into the car through the windshield since it is much lighter tint. Nonetheless, great set up 😊

      @randomadventures2.0  วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @briantodd4887 my front windshield is not tinted at all the driver and passenger from the factory they also already had a tent on them so the tinting from the Tinting Company add three shades of tinning the first one was light the second one was in the middle and the third one was the darkest so the back half of the car was the darkest and then the driver and passenger window was the middle shade out of three what's 0 tint on the front of the Subaru because of the cruise control and safety eyes that are already on the car and I have thought about putting something up between the seats however I do not and I have already laid in the back and had family members look in the front windshield to see if I can be seen and because it is so dark on the back half of my car including the hatch they cannot see that I'm in there hopefully this helps and much appreciated that you keep coming back to the video sounds like you're getting things set up great

    Love the setup! I think my next vehicle will be an SUV for camping, time to retire the old Avalanche. Also, thanks for the inspiration. I came across you through watching Steve Wallis. I've always wanted to solo camp but never got the nerve until I watched some of your vids and actually did two solo camps the last couple months! I'm boring right now but I'll get into it, lol.

    Nice setup. We just got a SUV tent for my Suburban that we will be trying it out soon. We also have a 12-volt fridge/freezer on the way that I am looking forward to using. I got a tri-fold mattress that we are going to try out. I hope my back will be ok with it. We have a camper, but we wanted something for far away one-night camps, so we don't need to drag our camper long distances. God bless Mr. and Mrs. 2.0!

      That is really cool my first mattress in the vehicle was a blow up one and it was rough to sleep on and blow up every time one of the things that had too much give to it for me I certainly think you are going to have a great time with your setup the fridge is a game changer

    My van has stow-and-go seating but I found the floor to be a little lumpy. After seeing one of your previous videos talking about putting the table down, I tried it. Problem solved! 😁

    I really like the pull out table idea (stashed under the bed). I might steal that idea for my car camping setup. I feel like it will also help with the issue I have where my head falls in the gap behind the seat, so I'm already bringing a board to put up there. I'll have to get that cooler too, my walmart one wasnt very efficient.

    • @randomadventures2.0
      @randomadventures2.0  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you do decide to get that refrigerator I think they are having Black Friday sales on it check out the information in the description. The table goes from the scene where the seat folds down back because I have majority of my gear right under the front of the back seat and passenger seat that Gap is filled with items that support the top of the mattress however the table makes my bed level I would think one of the larger tables would span from the back all the way up to the front one of the 6-foot tables you'll have to let me know how you make out thank you Brad

    Thanks for the video Tony, I have been looking at trading out the Challenger for a truck/SUV that is more in line with my outdoors nature lifestyle. I really appreciate your honest and direct approach here. I think it would be awesome to drive deep into the woods and maybe camp right out of my vehicle! I am looking possibly at a Tacoma with a truck bed cap, really appreciate this honest and insightful video.

    I stumbled onto this video via your video on the GooLoo 4000 -- LOL. GREAT Video!
    I usually tent camp, but looking to car camp more going forward. Thanks for posting links to some of the items you use.
    Now going back to watch some of your other video's. My problem is like to grill at night and use a portable gas grill for breakfast (eggs and coffee). I have a RAV4, so the gas stove will fit, but the Webber grill (and charcoal) is an issue!
    Just need to figure out with I really what vs what I just really need to get by!

    I only buy used vehicles. Not because I couldn't afford new, but I'm stewarding the money, and I don't like wasting it. Although lately, used cars aren't the bargain they used to be.

      Absolutely yes when I bought this Subaru is right before my stroke one month before the stroke and unfortunately the car that I had the engine died and I had to do something quick I'm glad I got it but definitely played way too much for it
