Hi. Thanks for great video. What is it called the soldering gun that u are using. It's solder n suction together in one? And also the copper mesh that aucka the lead, what is it called? I have a few power supply not working. 1 has a problem when power ON, no output wait for about 15min then has output. Why?
desoldering gun is WELLER WR3M rework station copper wire is called DESOLDER WICK or DESOLDER BRAID if your power supply is starting very late, might be VCC capacitor problem or might be startup circuit problme
Haseeb how it's possible that this worked with PFC mosfet installed in the wrong way? I suspect that the gate was grounded, and source was connected to PFC IC. Vgs treshold is relativly low (at several volts) so mosfet was practically conducting 400V to PFC IC the moment it left factory...
i think it is already got a repair attempt from some one. as the soldering is visible on PFC MOSFET, and secondary power section power mosftes were also re-soldered i think by mistake of repairman, the mosfet blasted the remaining circuit as the FAIL sticker is placed by the end user, when any items gets malfunctioned during operation so this fault was not from factory. it is human error of technical repair team
Sir i am dealing with a falty supply 12v small one. When is outputing low current is working without noise but when is outputing normal current for my tv box is making noise and causing to freeze my device. When i connect it to a lower current device it wasn't noisy. Is it high chance to be chip problem?

I think 7 or 8 repaired.
I got values from similar model power supply
