      wa alaikum salaam dear brother
      it is was just discussion.
      when someone finds some flaw in the video, he must indicate the mistake and errors and dislike the video so the youtube will not recommend to other video
      otherwise i always welcome positive critisim

    EXCELLENT ANALYSIS . Crowbar protection diodes is a real headache when I had to repair SMPS (5v 10A). Another problem I had found is their "long time stability". I mean that after some years of 24/365 operation their "reference voltage" (5.1V in my case) has "drift" to a lower voltage and when reached 4.85V the SMPS start fluctuate (almost catastrophic failure for industrial computer/controller due to continuous "reboot")

    • @HaseebElectronics
      @HaseebElectronics  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      thanks for your valuable comment
      you are right, after passage of time, the resistor values get devalued. which cause drift in center value. sometimes the "volatge reference" is also suspected

      thats why in industrial or other sensitive environments such as hospital equipment there has to be maintenance or replacement of modules that are known to wear out as time passes.Almost always the service manual or the manufacturer has guidelines as to what to do and how often.ofc im talking about very expensive machines,not cheap everyday consumer electronics.

    Thank you your post. Based on your video I was able to identify the wrong component in my SMPS. As you mentioned the ticking noise means there is a short in the secunder circuit. Stable but low voltage - 3V - output means the feedback circuit is ok. Using infra camera the TNY610 SCR glowed up which I think is doing the output short protection on the 5V rail. After desoldering it turned out it is malfunctioning, 600 ohm between the Gate and the Cathode in both direction. Replacing it tomorrow, curious about the result.

    Greetings from Russia! In my switching power supply, when connected to the network, the Schottky diode immediately burns out (in your case, these are MBRF20100CT diodes). Replacing the pulse transformer, PWM controller, smoothing electrolytic capacitor does not give anything. The zener diode is 12 Volts when ringing in the circuit, normal. Although, the mains voltage. instead of 230 Volts, it was only 204 Volts. Please tell me the reason for the short circuit of the Schottky diode, and where (in what) to look for a malfunction??? Thank you in advance, peace and good luck to you.
