We use an Eltek version of this rectifier unit on the UK railway to power our Austrian Frauscher digital axle counters. The fans often fail as they are running 24hrs a day and due to their environment, they suck lots of dirt onto the circuit boards, which tracks to the metal casing. This results in high DC to earth readings, which is forbidden on railway signalling circuits. I’ve brought lots of them back in spec by washing the PCBs in isopropyl alcohol and repairing any corrosion with UV activated conformal coating. Thanks for your excellent content.

This rectifier unit is installed in Emerson power cabinet in mobile communication stations to supply -48V DC power to telecom equipment in the station.. I have installed and maintained these cabinets but I only replaced faulty rectifiers with working ones .. excellent job sir.

I watch your videos because I get to learn something from it, replacing a component can be done by anyone who's into repairing but how do we get to know what to replace or which section is where like you told this is stand-by section but I don't know & most of the viewers watching this video also don't know (maybe I'm wrong)
My main concern is please explain how to find on which section fault is & how to find the schematic of any circuit.
In previous videos you explain the circuit very well please continue the same explanation pattern it helps a lot in practical
I'm a big fan of Haseeb Electronics,
Sorry if my words hurt you

We watch your Vdos avidly in Class , only I have to tell my students , that's not the optimal way to desolder Smd components with soldering iron, you and I can do it due to experience, but they will try and possibly damage components .... I've told.them to please use desoldering hot air gun ..... Pls don't take it negatively, and keep the vdos coming ..... Thank you

For example, I have a request from you. Television main cards have a standby transformer on them. Can you post a video on how to activate this transformer? Thanks in advance 🤲

It is easier, safer and cleaner with acetone. This is commonly found cheaply with nail polish remover.

Wow that was a very complicated power supply. I have repaired a few things with conformal coating it can be removed with acetone to avoid scratching the chip markings. Glued chips can be removed with hot air then when solder melted remove chip by levering from under the chip using pointed tweezers. Surprised to see only control chip bad, expected other parts to be bad also like shorted mosfets or open resistors. Very strange why only control chip was bad and nothing else. Maybe something still bad and under full load it won't work correctly so it should be checked with load.

Great tutorial, already like comment subscribe.
I'm from Indonesia, I have a problem with the SMPS on the "ANJING" brand battery charger made in China using IC UC3842B on leg 7 (imput) with a voltage of 12 - 14 VDC, on leg 6 (output) there is a pulsating voltage of 0,5 - 1.5 VDC which goes to the MOSFET gate 7N65, on the drain leg the voltage is 210 vdc connected to the transformer leg, primary Elko voltage 320vdc, output 0 vdc, where do you think the problem is sir? I removed and checked several important components in the primary and secondary which had normal values...
In this conditions, is the UC3842B still normal or is there a problem? Thank You

Assalamu alaikum, When i tried to measure voltage at output of pulse transformer for ac volt my digital multi meter burnt even the range was ok. I measured the voltage without installing diodes and filter capcitor for pulsed alternative volt but meter burnt. When anlog meter used it shows pulsating volt with no damage to meter. What happened?
