Hi, do you using built in mic / wireless mic when recording at mall ? the audio gain seems so low. Chest mount stability seems the best, quite noticeable compare to clip mount. do you try neck mount already ? thats looks like the effortless method for pov, didnt sure about the comfortable though

I don’t have the wireless mic. I do see the advantage now for everything. I wasn’t planning on recording my voice in my personal use of the camera but I think it’s worth it for anyone who will.
I haven’t tried neck. I felt that it may be too close to the chin and be very awkward and people may stare the most lol

I think you are meant to wear the undershirt mount on a necklace type thing to hold the weight as I cannot see it ever working straight on a shirt.

Dji osmo action 2 vs insta360 go 3s?
Which has better details in 4k?
    Which is better for pov?

Try mounting the Ulanzi magnetic mount upside down. Should work better. And usually it comes with a lanyard that keeps it even more stable.

I tried different ways and it's the same results. There are multiple problems that makes it not function like a Go3 pendant.
      1) the camera is too heavy lol
      2) the space between the magnet interface and the camera itself due to the GoPro connection point. creates a leverage effect multiplying the already heavy camera
3)shirt material has flex or too loose. it would require a very stiff material to mount onto. a strap would be better for it to sandwich between but the magnet is not strong enough for a backpack strap for instance.
The lanyard I think is just a safety back from the inside plate from falling down. The problem is that it's pulling out.
The chest mount gives you an idea on the amount of support straps you need with a heavier camera. 4 points and very tight.
This plate doesn't have much use. I think you can use it for quick attachment points on metal surfaces, maybe like a POV for cooking or a quick car mount ONLY on a horizontal surface. Vertical is a no no despite the strong magnet.
I experimented with it to be a front quick release bike mount, mounting it low in the front on the frame. Harsh bumps would cause it to make a slap sound as the plate were momentary disconnected and reconnected. Quite nerve racking thinking your camera may end up on the road.

@@WillEDC I understand. I will get my Pocket 3 in a few weeks. Then I will continue to use the Ulanzi Mount with my Osmo Action 3 and look for a better solution for the Pocket. Thanks for your video.

I notice that in Wearable mode, you can double-tap the screen to recenter the gimbal, so there's no need to use the Mimo app for recentering, right? Does the double-tap function work even when the screen is off?

It will center towards the center of the cam. He meant to use the Mimo app if on the bag clip coz it will usually be pointing to the left/right because of the strap

how could we get rid off that horizontal movement, it looks like the camera is jumping up and down all the time, so the gimbal os not as effective as I thought... maybe if the orientation of the dji pocket 3 is not fully vertical (straight) and you put it in a horizontal way it could help... any advice?

      “Ninja walk” people say.
I feel gimbal is more for keeping it level and allowing one hand use so the other can sport a beer.
One thing I notice is that the bounce seems worse when turn the gimbal for a side shot
Whether the body is vertical or horizontal shouldn’t make a difference I think

Get the Micro Pro 2 4th axis stabilizer by Scotty Make Stuff; he has a backpack mount that will work with the stabiliser.

Hmm the vocal audio quality when the cam is strapped on the book bag is pretty quiet huh. Like when you were talking the surrounding noise kind of dominated and it was difficult to hear you which is not very useful for vlogging and talking while it's strapped in that position.

    • @WillEDC
      @WillEDC  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Agreed.
So I would say if you camera is not hand held and you need to narrate then better to get the remote mic.
This particular environment was more noisy than normal. I guess you can equate it to a convention style filming like a comicon or electronics show or stadium. Usually in those situation people use mics to interview people because of the excessive ambient noise.
So yeah , either external mic , could be another device sync in post edit. Or the DJI wireless one which works seamlessly. Or your caught in this noise, better to hand hold the pocket and talk to it.

A backpack with a cross chest strap should work well.

Don’t trust the DJI sales as I left my number at multiple retails spots. Not one has even called to let me know in stock til this day.
By chance I asked DJI sg ig account which said they had some just in. I called one retail location to confirm and raced over to get the last one.

    • @WillEDC

Expansion with the chest works the best. You can get away with a clip to the backpack strap but needs to be tight
