TKE BEHIND THE SCENES: 1000 FPM ThyssenKrupp TAC50 Elevator Machines and Pit - RSA Tower, Mobile, AL

(Filmed on 8-2-2017) Take a trip back to 2017 as I was invited by the Retirement Systems of Alabama (RSA) for an Exclusive Behind the Scenes Tour of the High Speed Elevator Machines and Pit area at the RSA Battle House Tower in Downtown Mobile, AL. In this video, you will see Behind the Scenes of a ThyssenKrupp High Rise Elevator Machine Room with a TAC50 controller and elevator sheaves spinning at 1000 Feet Per Minute on the RSA Tower High Rise bank followed by the 700 FPM Service Elevators. You will also see live data of how the High Rise Elevator bank dispatches calls while seeing and hearing the elevators respond to the calls in real time, as the ethernet allows the technicians to view all 12 groups of elevator systems on the property at the Battle House. In the machine room, you have everything from the controllers, cables, sheaves, and safety governors protecting the safety of the elevators. The technicians are required to wear safety glasses to make sure anyone in the machine room or pit is safety protected. You can see the 480 volt power disconnects as well as the 110 volt light disconnects for the elevators. And we conclude the tour in the sub-level basement where we take a look at the Pit area where we hear the wind of the elevators running at 1000 FPM and see one of them come down to the Lobby right above us.
