i dont know if its the atmosphere and him being in his studio or the fact that its a one on one interview with a camera, but he's so relaxed and open in a way that he's not on television or talk shows. i saw him this past summer in san francisco and it was pure magic, luckily we got him in the earlier parts of his tour and he sounded great, but his voice is a bit off right now and it sounded shot when he was on fallon last week. but he's so charismatic and enticing on stage and his music is flawless that it doesn't weaken the show if his voice is off and i applaud him for singing live anyways without a backtrack. he won two grammy's too :) ♡♡
I was at that Red Rocks show, and it was the coolest experience of my life! Jack white is a bloody rock god, and really is the epitome of modern music.
Jack is the most talented person in music, wise beyond his time and space, and has more integrity than anyone yet, in the art of music and out. He truly deserves spoils, yet he works hard for you and me and them. Thanks for dedicating your life and soul to us, Jack! For the music you give, the re-education of the music format, and helping so many people have a chance, a voice, Jack, you are a prodigy, an old soul, a gift to this lifetime. God bless!
I just saw him for the first time in Utah and the key of the venue is a real thing. He was going off before one song how we were all living in the key of G and didn't know it, and how our the altitude makes everything sound unique.
Love the comment about the Red Rocks show ~ the printed tickets stated "Rain of Shine" instead of "Rain or Shine" and I believe that was an epiphany for the shining performance during an unrelenting rainstorm. Amazing show!
Sabrina Fritts I lost my cool when he played Ball n Biscuit!!! My poor husband knows I have a crush .... it was an electrifying show I will never forget!!
Klepper is a unique man, and one of the best interviewers there is today. His intelligence, wit, and quick-witted retort-filled questions seem to always catch the lesser intelligent off guard. Mr. White matches the same ❤️
Asi es como se ve un musico de verdad , se le nota en los ojos y en la manera en la que habla la pasion que tiene por lo que hace , me fascina desde siempre
Melanie Boe I like his hair better now too. I imagine it's a lot more work now tho as he has grey hair and to touch-up the roots on the sides must take constant attention. Otherwise, he would have silver sides and a black top.
i still remember when seven nation army came out i thought this to myself like wow thats literally a blues standard. i already knew the white stripes and i was like he just wrote an anthem. i could picture him putting it out at any moment of american history.
+Bónne B a lot of his songs are like that: icky thump, dead leaves and the dirty ground, I'm finding it harder to be a gentleman, hello operator, little bird etc.
Henry v Zyl well yeah, but in those songs it's really obvious for some reason I think of seven nation army and like in my head i can hear it with words in the chorus, and then i'm like no there aren't any in those other songs it doesn't fuck with my head
The new Hair style is cool! 😎 He worked as an Upolsterer and hid 100 Singles in the couches he worked on. So 100 people are sitting on couches that contain a collectible record! Who thinks of things like that? Only Jack White! He keeps taking risks and it keeps paying off! Kudas to JW! I admire him because he innovates constantly!
I used to feel confused by White's fascination of art as artifact - concealing records in furniture, etc. While watching this interview, however, I realized that I've done something akin to it for years. When the mood strikes, I will take a Sharpie to the supermarket on a regular shopping trip. I'll select a can of cat food and draw, to the best of my ability, a bit of ornate facial hair on the cat, then put it back on the shelf before I leave the store. Easiest is just a pencil-thin moustache. When I feel more vested in the effort, it'll be a Van Dyke or Wolverine sideburns. I've always hoped that whoever purchased these embellished products was able to get a big belly laugh out of them. I'll never know for certain, but I'll always hope. Jack White gives me hope. In 2017, that's a freakin' miracle.
+Muradean That's interesting. I've never thought about it before, but I can see that, personality-wise. They were/are somewhat eccentric artists who take their craft _very_ seriously, have their own sense of style and fashion, have very strong ideals regarding their craft, have unique tastes, and are both absolutely obsessed with examining or playing with perception; what's real and what's fake, and all that. Yeah, I totally see that.
I've thought the same! I thought I was alone in my thinking. Good to know someone else gets it! Orson Wells was genius and it went over so many people's heads. Jack has that same special quality
jeez. i always thought his looks reminded me of 'someone'. i just couldn't put my finger on who, but now that you mention it, he looks like orson wells when he smiles, and orson's smile. holy cow, that is who he reminds me of. how funny. and then the third man name, that is who he reminds me of all the time but i never could quite place his the person whose face he reminds me of. it is orson wells. thanks for clearing that up i was going crazy about it.
I liked blunderbuss but his new album sounds a bit weak, its like who ever mastered it took the term levelling a bit to serious and literally levelled everything into a block.
Our generations guitar god. Love this guy.
Such a guy, seriously, brilliant dude. You can see the passion in his eyes, it's a beautiful thing.
I have a feeling he would be the easiest/most intimidating person to just sit and talk to
Cale Singleton I would love to sit and chat with him, but I would be so giddy I wouldn’t be able to contain my enthusiasm!
Jordan or Jack?
@@regitron3873 jack
@@odinoky5814 I was joking of course. However Jordan can work people over in his interviews most notably at the "rallys".

It most likely says a lot about how he feels about the person interviewing him.
Why is he so so amazing, such a beautiful mind and soul.
Plus he's absolutely gorgeous.
As a straight guy...I kind of have to agree with you. It's not fair to us mortals. Lol
probably one of THE best musicians of my generation!
I was at that Red Rocks show, and it was the coolest experience of my life! Jack white is a bloody rock god, and really is the epitome of modern music.
Ethan Rummel me too! 3rd row. Best show ever! The pictures he took where fantastic! Electric
Jack White is a legend. No one represents what modern Rock'n Roll is supposed to be.
David Auster what about foo fighters
Max Munzert
What about them?
They re[resents what modern Rock'n Roll should be
Max Munzert
I never got into them
Have a good one
Great interview. It’s always a treat when an interviewer just clicks with the person they’re interviewing.
"i'm doing this for you, right now, and if we don't talk to each other it's going to fall apart" fuck i love him
This guy is the real deal and is a refreshing person. He is genius.
I like how he gets asked a question and his answer has nothing to do with the question.
TheGrownWolf ?
I use to think he was really hot when I was in 7th grade...5 years later it's happening again...
Julia J. Wink XD
yup -- hot. But I think I like the longer hair better
Simi J 😂😂😂
"went to the Warhol museum, took some polaroids, and hid them in the museum...." haha... weirdo. Love it!
Beautiful, talented, intriguing man....:)
can I have coffee with jack white? a dream come true maybe!
and cigarette
@@laminebaazi4376 you seen that movie? 🤣
FYI him and Meg White were in an indie film called Coffee And Cigarettes. It's fun.
@@christopherporter2459 yeah b&w movie
i liked the wu tang part
Still miss Meg with Jack.
I love how he think's. He is so wholesome. ❤❤❤

I got to see him there. Hands down best show I've ever seen.
Best show I've been to. Something about the lightning behind the band during the opening High Ball Stepper.. was pure magic.
or when ball and biscuit ended, magic.
Sabrina Fritts I lost my cool when he played Ball n Biscuit!!! My poor husband knows I have a crush .... it was an electrifying show I will never forget!!
Amazing, Jack. Pure class all the way
Great interview.
Jordan Klepper is also awesome!
There is not a more innovative or ambitious guy in music today
agreed!
Love the vinyl searching dates ❤️
Klepper is a unique man, and one of the best interviewers there is today. His intelligence, wit, and quick-witted retort-filled questions seem to always catch the lesser intelligent off guard. Mr. White matches the same ❤️
Hissss voicceee😍😍😍
Omg id die to go on a vinyl shopping date with jack white
Brb, ripping my furniture apart.
"Your furniture's not dead"
God, I love this man.
Haven't listened to his music but this guy seems super authentic and saavy.
I strongly recommend you to start immediatly hearing JW's music. But beware. Theres no coming back friend.
Do you live in a cave in Siberia?? Lol
I'm hooked in the Jack White algorithm. Go me!
As am I!
Fuck he's so smart
His show was my first show at Red Rocks. We were so afraid he was gonna stop once it started to rain. But he played on like a champ. 😊
11:14 this made me shiver. This sudden laugh stop .
Love to Jack. And to his fans.
Jack White is a Living Time Machine...all in analog too!
He looks so different with short hair. I like it!! I've had a crush on this dude since I was a teen. Not sure why xD
Classy as fuck

Battle of the haircuts.
Agree. It's like a disturbing Robert Gordon Replica Coiffure competition . . .
Jack wins, btw.
His haircut is so crazy! Its like Dracula meets the Baptist evangelist! If anybody can pull it off he can. Work that pompadour!
Melanie Boe I like his hair better now too. I imagine it's a lot more work now tho as he has grey hair and to touch-up the roots on the sides must take constant attention. Otherwise, he would have silver sides and a black top.
He would really look like
Dracula then!
+01denese So he really has gray hair already? I mean he's only 40
The garden show was everything to all people
Jack white currently lives in TN, he lives in the same state as me! I have a chance to meet him possibly!!!
This whole sentence rhymed!
It does, doesn't it.
Interviewer: Do you write songs for the record or for the performance?
Jack: I wanted to try to write this song without writing a chorus.
Ok, Jack.
Michigan!!!!
love it Jack thanks
I dig the pompadour! ❤
The man who inspired me to start collecting records.
I freking love him.

I had a big bird record player when I was young growing up in metro Detroit.
they were good in sync. good interviewer
good interview 👌
His voice is raspier than usual
His voice was shot during the OU performance three days after this interview. Heavy instrumental night with subpar sound. A little disappointing.
smoking, singing and age?
Smokey Joe Couldn't do it without the question mark, could you?
Smokey Joe Yeah, but it's raspier than it usually is...
Sabrina Fritts Have to agree, went to that concert too. He's def had better.
Having to explain what a record is. Man I must be getting old!
Danzig's long lost younger brother..
Ha,Ha yeah
🤣💯
🤣🤣🤣
it took watching this video to know that seven nation army has an instrumental "chorus" with no lyrics, dammnit, mr. white duped me again.
I just realised too, what a genius he is :)
+Bónne B a lot of his songs are like that: icky thump, dead leaves and the dirty ground, I'm finding it harder to be a gentleman, hello operator, little bird etc.

John Mayer and Jack White should make a badass blues record.

...XLNT interview!
As long as you turn it upside down

it's hard to take Klepper seriously...especially on those cut aways to him nodding and smirking.
zippy1969 especially when you see his other videos where he's making fun of the interviewee I can't see him as a serious person lol.
How Encredile it would be too talk to him period 🌹

Theres something about Jack White that makes me remember of Orson Welles.

Aww I think he was quoting Kurt Cobain on the Weird Al parody thing, my other favourite right now :( cool interview!
Now , everyone who had anything upholstered by Jack White is going to rip it open to see if there's a poem in there.
which song is The intro?
Why are his teeth so short?
Why do people ask these stupid questions?
Camila Gianoli I don't have anything against Jack, I'm just curious.
20MDM
I heard that they are still his baby teeth.
Kevin Prentice Okay, I thought he grinded them away.
How the fuck can you expect an answer to such a stupid question from the people watching the video?
What's the matter with you?
does he shave his forearms?
why does he look like astro boy
his new elvis hairstyle suits him so much better
Agreed. He looks very comfortable with it
Just me over here wondering about that coffee date...
and people go to the andy warhol museum, GO! lol
Not really the hard hitting questions... I woulda gone with... “So Jack, tell us all about the time you beat fuck out of Jason Stollsteimer”
Impressive pomp

Jack's WAY TO COOL FOR SCHOOLS 😅
Make surplus and some will work.
What happened to his voice?
Smoking
+DellyBellyTea333 I guess
he really had a gift though :/
VanLuedewich yeah...its a hard habit to kick
damn it his hair is so shiny

kinda glenn danzig-ish here...it's a good thing
