This is honestly one of my favorite interviews with him. The interviewer is a little awkward, but he seems so composed and polite here. Such a gentleman.
I walked past him in Covent Garden London when he was on tour with The Racounters years back. It was around St. Patricks and he was wearing a green suit with a black hat and carrying a black cane. Plus he's pretty tall. In Covent Garden the paths are pretty narrow. When I seen him he was coming right at me, I looked up and he was looking me right in the eyes the whole time we passed. Kind of unsettled me but he looked so flippin cool.
Seems hard to believe but at the same time, I once met Alison Hannigan(she played Lily in How I met your mother) there so covent garden just seems like a place where these kinda things happen
He is a soft, sexy, intresting and a genius! The man of man dreams! Obviously people here share the thoughts about his look in two ways hot or so not! But, it was his music that took our interest at first! This man can make good, honest, true music that he has struggled by his own point of view! And Jack has never, ever let us down with his music.
WOW..what he said about how he loves when things going wrong during a show makes perfect sense. When i saw him at the firefly festival, his mic was going in and out, the speakers weren't working fully...infront of a crowd of thousands. Those "accidents" really made me appreciate him more as a musician because he still sounded amazing EVEN with these problems.
Jack White definately gets his point across..incredible intensity and authenticity comes through..love how he relates..there hasn't been an artist that relates like this for a long time in my opinion..
OMG Jack White's little sexy smirky smile just creeps in and nestles itself into my heart... It's sexy and adorable all at the same time. Oh stop it Jack...
"...It's all the intracacies of how people relate to each other and how sometimes we sabotage each other; we sabotage ourselves. We hurt ourselves to get something better. What do we all want love for in the first place? If we want love so much, like everybody does, why do we do the things that we do, to hurt one another so much?"
I like how his pearsonality transposes through his music. He defiently has an identity but he works hard and is always evolving .I think i respect him so much because hes not afraid to please people , he does music for himself and keeps fresh .In that sense hes he perfect type of non perfectionist there is ... this interview shows exactly that .
This dude is just amazing! I really love the fact that his mind is the way it is. We can hear the honest lighting behind it. Every story, must have a problem! :) JUST GENIUS!
I've thought the same thing myself. Seeing him around others and watching his live performances (especially when performing with female musicians) I really get the vibe that he's rather commanding, dominating... Expecting the very best out of everyone. And yes, intimidating, but in a good, slightly uncomfortable, infinitely sexy and arousing way. :)
his words about struggle in the perfomances and songs... this philosophy is so wonderful and seems right for me. I think that's why he is very sexy on stage likely - because the audience watches a history. every concert is a story. wow. just amazing as a human and a musician.
wow what a great interview, jack is very open very passionate and intelligent loved wut he said about the protagonist and antagonist every situation has a problem.. n wut he said about how we relate and how the same messages keep coming through music, love, hate, dispare, joy.. very well put!!!
This is fantastic. It's like Jack White is channeling Dylan's interviews in some way, but adding his own version. His take on "Love" is VERY good. It's a good question, Love and Music. Jack's like a brother and an inspiration. A lot of really important smart people have some kind of theological framework, and I think Jack White is an avante-garde of our times, which is rare. I too always his pennies and quarters in weird places like him. I left a quarter, with my Dad, at a ceremony of the closing of the Washington monument obelisk, various weird places. "Every story has to have a problem...there has to be a struggle....I play things out of tune...." I LOVE the restrictions he places on himself creating "accidental art" which Dylan was VERY fond of and notorious for doing, making up. He really has a Marc Bolan feel to him. Hopefully he still hasn't lost the Catholic Faith.
Wow I love him so much!! His music get me high, happy, euphoric. I watch him live on my phone wish I could see him live he never tours in my area. Such a major talent I am happy to hear in my lifetime.
Is it something about his look? I could see if from his look alone, I think it is just him being a reserved person. Which can easily come off that way.
He is a rather complex fellow... the reason is that he's quite a deep-thinker. The more in depth one thinks, the more complex they tend to come off as. I know as I'm considered rather complex myself & tend to think rather quite deeply... :P
Jesus Christ, I think I had a fucking epiphany watching this. Everything he said about struggle; he's just so intensely, unpretentiously IN to music and art and life and GODDAMMIT I'm emotionally attached to a musician again.
I think it's just that some people's souls are so polarized to what's going on and how people interact. Speaking for myself, there's something so sensitive in me that I can't show to everyone. Like they're gonna crush it or mistreat it. And I think that's why men, and women, grow up to be so cold and cut off from real life and the aliveness within them. I mean, what people need to realize is that it cannot be taken away, it's love, it's life, it's everywhere, and it can't be taken or lost.
Answer: the fact that we humans are deemed w/ deep imperfection (via, sin), we only can fathom so much to a certain degree... unless we not only become emotionally & mentally mature, but spiritually as well. It's difficult to explain in details, but it has a lot to do w/ the use of 6 senses as full & understanding the Higher Power better as the aging process (us fully maturing) really kicks in. It's different for each individual though. :)
Well, when I saw him and he wasn't exploding my head with amazing music and he was interacting with fans and the crowd he was very gracious and very humble. Not intimidating at all actually!
It may have to do w/ deep depression- at least that's how I perceive it. I tend to observe facial expressions in ppl as well as voice tone & body language. All seem to be adding up to some sort of emotional turmoil, but when he smiles, it appears as if camouflaged... Being around several depressed ppl growing up, I'd learn this over time, esp. those that appeared VERY happy but were actual mere opposites.... :|
Why do you say this? Is it his eyes? Skin? Hair?? I ask, b/c many ppl tend to have a different perception on how one looks when looking rough- & was curious by what you meant! :p
Jack White is perfectly imperfect
This is honestly one of my favorite interviews with him. The interviewer is a little awkward, but he seems so composed and polite here. Such a gentleman.
She didn't have any questions written down
Her approach made him more candid. Usually he almost redirects questions or deflects them with humor.
The way he talks about the blues and realizing how it's everywhere is beautiful.

@@erazet3084 what a strange reply?
That's a once in a lifetime experience. You're really lucky

He's so fascinating. I could listen to him talk for hours.
I love his voice.
Jack White is an actual genius. Everything he says is just so brilliant and beautiful.

He laughs like a villain.
He looks the part too
He’s got an Evil Stare? Nah, I’m a huge Fan. Cold Mountain. He acted in it w/ Jude Law, Nicole Kidman and Renee Zellwinger.
100%
Saw him last night... brilliant performer and he really enjoyed his audience. Very impressed.
I know, it's just too adorable
his expressions change from happiness to a serious attitude so fuckin quick its mind blowing.
He got it so right, you have to be sexy on accident to be that sexy.
He's got such beautiful eyes!!
"...It's all the intracacies of how people relate to each other and how sometimes we sabotage each other; we sabotage ourselves. We hurt ourselves to get something better. He's so hot.. I love this guy

He's been my idol for such a long time now...
This dude is just amazing! I really love the fact that his mind is the way it is. We can hear the honest lighting behind it. Every story, must have a problem! :) JUST GENIUS!
Great job, interviewer. This is how interviews should be conducted.
This is SO cool, I love the way he carries himself, really interesting cat.
I've thought the same thing myself. He completely just opened up my eyes. Holy shit. You sir, are one hell of a guy.
Listen with headphones, it sounds like your in the room with him.
Lol her reactions are embodiments of all of us fangirls XD
This man is just a fucking genius, no two ways about it.
He's like the lovechild of Helena Bonham Carter and Johnny Depp.
Under-rated comment!
Or of Patti Smith & Paul McCartney
Einstein of Rock
Any songs you do are GREAT!
God I love him omg
fucking love Jacks laugh, and god he's a genius too!
his words about struggle in the perfomances and songs... this philosophy is so wonderful and seems right for me. I think that's why he is very sexy on stage likely - because the audience watches a history. every concert is a story. wow.
just amazing as a human and a musician.
omfg he's a genius, love how he adds the little "and they're not my problem" lol
I agree; he should be an actor. Handsome man, too. And, well spoken.
i love his laugh! makes me smile :)
fuckkk he looks soooo good
I love Jack White's music. It's very inspiring and cool.
wow what a great interview, jack is very open very passionate and intelligent loved wut he said about the protagonist and antagonist every situation has a problem.. n wut he said about how we relate and how the same messages keep coming through music, love, hate, dispare, joy.. very well put!!!
Love the fact that he addresses the "Love" thing in songs....it is overkill, but Jack makes it fresh.
Deep stuff right there. I respect him so much more than before.
I would die to have a philosophical conversation with him
Dammit! You're making me cry, Jack...
it seems that some popular artists like him or cobain develop in the same direction, like they've seen something they want to grasp
Had to think of Curt Cobain, too
he's just brilliant and daaaamn looks hot
This is a good interview. He talks about a lot of things that I haven't heard in other interviews
Wonderful and concise, Polymath Apple :)
love it
I would never hurt you Jacky-boy!!
No need to start a fight. We're all here for the same reason
He should be an actor. He would be great on the big screen.
This is fantastic. It's like Jack White is channeling Dylan's interviews in some way, but adding his own version. His take on "Love" is VERY good. It's a good question, Love and Music. Love his philosophy on love :) Soooooo True
Love His music, the true art.
Jack White is my enigma.
I wanna hug him. He looks kuddly
Nice interview!
Is it something about his look? I could see if from his look alone, I think it is just him being a reserved person. Which can easily come off that way.
I LOVE your HONESTY. Jack
His concept of struggle and restraint in art is the same as Matthew Barney's... two brilliant, beautiful men
i really like how she's interviewing him
She was making him nervous about her questions and intensity is his style of music and works well for him
He is a rather complex fellow... the reason is that he's quite a deep-thinker. The more in depth one thinks, the more complex they tend to come off as. I know as I'm considered rather complex myself & tend to think rather quite deeply... :P

1:24 and 2:08-2:30 his smiles are so adorable.
Jack White, you have evolved beautifully....
His laugh is adorable.

Jack White has more songs that make me "feel" powerful and passionate intensity quickly...amazing talent
OH MY GOD I LOVE HIM.
I think it's just that some people's souls are so polarized to what's going on and how people interact. Speaking for myself, there's something so sensitive in me that I can't show to everyone. He is just too cool
"for myself not for other people...but again they're not my problem" LOL I love him.
"Accidentally sexy" are ya' then, Jack? Well, you're in luck; that's the best version.
Love this!

JW: Who me? Sexy? I just look like Johnny Depp and play the shit out of the blues. Is that sexy?

I love how Jack's eyebrows make him look like he's 90% of the time angry . . .
and interesting :D
She's so in love with him lolol
I didn't know Robert Smith was in the White Stripes.
es hermoso
Well, when I saw him and he wasn't exploding my head with amazing music and he was interacting with fans and the crowd he was very gracious and very humble. Not intimidating at all actually!
what a genius
Based on Jack's expression of appreciating flaws and non-perfection, the camera work is great.
It may have to do w/ deep depression- at least that's how I perceive it. I tend to observe facial expressions in ppl as well as voice tone & body language. All seem to be adding up to some sort of emotional turmoil, but when he smiles, it appears as if camouflaged...

What is the deal with the camera movement.?
That dude is too cool!
