@@Oztinfrog Samsung does 3 years support (5years of security), that confirmed in the unpacked. Not to mention that updates on Android is not as important as iOS's for two reasons: 1.iPhone without the latest update is useless (OK, that's exaggerating, but you lose a lot) 2.The most important updates on Android are delivered by Google's services and still Android 5 devices get those updates (for example Nearby Share except this one only for 6+) just look at apps/games on PlayStore, 85% of them can run on Android 5, iOS 8 on the other hand maybe around 5-10%. I am not sure about the exact number especially after forcing developers for 64 bit by latest Google policies.
Media Tech every other android manufacturer has 5 years support......at least . It takes Samsung a literal year to release an update for most of there devices.... And is still out of date .... my sister still uses a iPhone 6 that works better then my note 8 and my phone is newer and is supposed to have better hardware .... please stop telling people they should go for Samsung...the only redeeming factor for Samsung is there screens and I still don’t want there phones anymore because they have a hole in them I think the hole is more distracting then the iPhone notch at least iPhones software is built around the notch ......
I absolutely love my s7 plus. The screen and sound beats out my iPad pro 12.9 2020! I prefer the size on the s7 plus. It's slightly smaller than the huge square iPad. Dex is superb. Watching media on this device is by far the best out there. And in still after months in awe of the sound. It feels like the sound is coming from behind you, in front of you and from the sides. This is something I don't get as much in my iPad. The overall power, and apps are typically better on iPad though. But don't let that out you off. If I had to pick between the two the iPad would be going. Well done Sammy. Nailed it, specially with one UI 3
The sound part, samsung just nailed it with the speakers, the surround sound experience is so good on the loudspeaker, you can literally feel someone whispering in your ears from the back. The sound comes from behind, front and moves from one side to another.
For tablet there has been no competitor of IPad. So it is glad for me that Samsung as usual, make the one that can compete with Apple product and consumers now have the options.
@@reynardrouser7863 If the iPad is good on it's stand-alone, tell me why did the keyboard and the trackpad comes into play? The concept was obviously inspired by Microsoft Surface. Even Apple admits it.
Here im with my cheap tab a 10.1 2016 with spen, multiwindows and my marked pdf and docs stored on the microsd when I change my device to another Android tab. No need for dex but for sure is a great tool. 😀
QWST get the battery replaced but definitely pick this up bro, I’m thinking about it too. The whole thing as a whole is just so competitive against the iPad pros now, that honestly, if anything the s7+ might actually even be better than the iPad Pro at everything except app and software support, and the cameras, but otherwise it’s freaking amazing and for less money too, Samsung Dex is gonna be crazy on it too. Dex on phones seems cool in theory but in practice only really makes sense if you want to for some reason have a desktop set up based around your phone or something lol, or maybe for a presentation but even in both cases, laptops are a thing???? So Dex on a tablet just makes way more sense, honestly I hope Apple copies Dex and makes their own version for iPads eventually
@@HearMeLearn YES. honestly, I applaud samsung for trying to create an "ipad killer". While the phone competition is definitely going strong, there's literally no competition in the tablet category, which is why the tablet category also has the least innovation out of any smart devices. THIS is what I was MOST interested in. My Tab S6 with the keyboard currently is my laptop because of Dex. I'm glad to see the improvements in the keyboard case and the SPen latency but it's not enough to get me to upgrade. Maybe for the Tab S8 I might.
Yeah...I’m thinking I’ll get the Note 20 ultra if the have some great promotions to offset the dumb pricing. But I don’t think I’ll upgrade this year on my tab...I think next year’s will be a game changer. But I really want that larger screen!!
I love my Tab S6. Coming from Surface Pro 4 and then Surface Go I gotta say that the Tab S6 gives me a way better user experience. And Dex is so great if I wanna do some multitasking. Although the Tab S7 looks really tempting :D
The idea has existed for a long time and has been attempted many times, but it's true that the Microsoft surface was one of the first devices to truly nail it
@@hayden.A0 Possibly because these developers doesn't see a future of laptops and tablets combined into one. Only the few who can see a future like this are able to revolutionize the industries.. like Samsung with the fold and flip. Apple on the other hand is not that kind of player, they like to take it safe and slow, so once they do it, it has already worked out the quirks and errors, that's why most ppl picked iPhone for stability.
I think he might be talking about the newer devices. I heard the A51 has DeX. But from mostly the flagships galaxy phone starting with the s8 only had dex.
@@mmm.3839 I am not sure about the mid-range devices that let you use DeX. The only devices I know mainly are the flagship starting with the S8. I think they might put into consideration the specs. The S8 I had seems like it was as fluid compared to the Note 9. Samsung probably doesn't want you to have a sub-par experience if the device can't handle it. I don't use DeX for a prolong period of time but I imagine it could heat up your smartphone and drain your battery. Samsung sold those DeX docks which had those built-in fans. I don't worry too much with the Note 9 because Samsung put a water-carbon cooling system inside their smartphones. I think from what I read that any device that has Samsung One UI 2.0 will be able to run DeX. It's the trickle-down effect.
I wish you went into more detail on Dex, like how to productivity apps look/work on it. Stuff that someone who might use Dex would actually use. From Adobe suite apps to Microsoft Excel. I'm curious on how Dex works with productivity apps but no one has a detailed video on it.
I’ve owned the first iPad, an iPad 4, ASUA transformer, iPad mini, iPad mini Retina, the 10.5” iPad Pro and a Surface Pro and loved aspects of them all but this might be the one to get next 🤔 I saw someone with one the other day and was super impressed! @@MrPoliarinis Weak attempt trying to answer for me. 😂😂😂 Even 144Hz has been the NORM for many many years on PC. Any PC gamer sees and feels how slow 60Hz is on phones. Even iPad Pro owners notice the downgrade when they use 60Hz iPhones. You're lying to yourself if you think 60Hz is buttery smooth and that it should JUST remain at 60Hz. You must be a special kind of SLOW. More phones have to have 120Hz or higher FIRST before more developers commit to making their mobile games run at 120Hz. There's a decent number of mobile games that already support 120Hz and that number will only continue to grow. We already have a few 144Hz (Asus ROG Phone III supports 160Hz and Sharp has a phone that can do 240Hz if I'm not mistaken). SoC's get more powerful each year and it's time to take better advantage of that power. I'm so grateful that YOU'RE NOT in charge of a tech company because under your leadership it wouldn't be pushing the industry forward. It would just settle for what we currently have. If OnePlus were run by you, their slogan would be: "SETTLE" instead of "NEVER SETTLE". Even next-gen consoles will have 120Hz support. It's only natural for more and more phones to have 120Hz as well. That's called PROGRESS. The mobile gaming industry is a huge market. P.s. Before you go calling someone stupid, go educate yourself on the difference in meaning AND spelling between the words "than" and "then" (from your other comment). 😂😂😂😂😂
As always, one of the best contents on a device/product's specs and performance. austin bader i have one but i aint buying a Samsung tablet
@@Oztinfrog Samsung does 3 years support (5years of security), that confirmed in the unpacked. Not to mention that updates on Android is not as important as iOS's for two reasons:
1.iPhone without the latest update is useless (OK, that's exaggerating, but you lose a lot)
2.The most important updates on Android are delivered by Google's services and still Android 5 devices get those updates (for example Nearby Share except this one only for 6+) just look at apps/games on PlayStore, 85% of them can run on Android 5, iOS 8 on the other hand maybe around 5-10%. I am not sure about the exact number especially after forcing developers for 64 bit by latest Google policies.
Media Tech every other android manufacturer has 5 years support......at least . It takes Samsung a literal year to release an update for most of there devices.... I have a note 8 still it’s no longer supposed I don’t get updates for important apps anymore and the only thing you get android for the (customizations) are out of date like you can’t update good lock .....I also have a old tab s that’s no longer supported and a tab s5e that just today got android 10 that was released at the beginning of the year for other companies.

Same. Phone still runs smooth. Battery is taking a hit but I can live with that. Really considering selling my iPad pro 12.9 for this. Mainly for DeX

@@MrPoliarinis Weak attempt trying to answer for me. 😂😂😂
Even 144Hz has been the NORM for many many years on PC.
