Totally unrelated to this video but you seem well researched on g35s so figured I'd ask. I have a crazy rattle in my 08 g35x catalytic converters. Can't afford new ones ATM, do you have any idea if taking them off, smashing the honeycomb out and using the spark plug non fouler trick on the o2 sensors works on a 08 model? Where you basically pull the oxygen sensor further away from the exhaust as to not throw a code. I've read it works on older year models but there's a few guys saying it does not work on 07+ models.
@kylebusc3624 you are better of installing test pipes and selling your cats they are worth 400-600 dollars. The rattle is normal with higher milage sadly but most cars run fine with it like that
Did this exact job… your video helped ALOT. I dropped the subframe brace (i have a RWD coupe not sure how it is on AWD/sedans) not gonna say it made the whole job sooooo much easier but def allowed more access space & view space for removal/install. Extra steps but helped me follow your video better especially trying to find that 10mm with the gear wrench behind the motor!!!
Your video helped me a lot! Now my G35 doesn't leak oil every time I turn the steering wheel.😅 Now I will be using your video to replace the valve covers with the aluminum ones from MITZONE, I hope it works well.
Hey bro, my G35 has been driving lean lately and is misfiring, I have the codes P0300 and P0143(02 Sensor Bank 2 sensor 1) I had changed the MAF with OEM before I got the P0143 and the car ran great for 2-3 days and now it hesitates really bad when I get to 3.5k-4.5k. my dad says the 02 sensor wont cause the car to run lean but I want to know your opinion since you have a lot of knowledge on Infinitis.
@@ERICSDIYGARAGE Yes, I put spark plugs about a month ago, I checked the coils they were good too I haven’t installed my valve cover gaskets as I do have a leak and I noticed a little bit of oil on plug #6 but dont know if that would cause a misfire.
@@polo7247 I had a similar issue, the valve cover was leaking on the driver side , oil was in cylinder 6 spark plug causing major hesitation and lugging but sporadically. After I replaced the valve cover gaskets and cleaned out the spark plug tube and replaced both the plug and coil pack the code went away
When I bought my 350z the nut was loose and some black fluid was coming out. I tightened it and no more leaks. What is in the rack behind this nut? Power steering fluid or grease?
Thanks for watching! I hope this video helps you out, more videos coming out every week so make sure to subscribe!

Glad I helped out! It's definitely a messy job but so rewarding once it's done

Great video 💯 thanks man I'm going through this rn with mines
Thank you. I appreciate it!
This helped a lot. I’ll admit I gave up on the 10mm bracket by the motor mount but whatever
Yeah it's a pain lol
Good info and explanation!
Thank you
Is it the same with the HR? Need to replace power steering and lines.
Yes
Does the small pressure hose thread in all the way on the rack? Mine goes about halfway
the OEM hose (new condition) is discontinued, right?
Yes
Would it be a similar job to do with a g37??
Yes
To replace the return line do I need the high pressure hose aswell?
No
I was waiting to see how to put it back in
The opposite of the removal
I hope with out the bends tho. Lol.

Hi, I love your videos. What is the nut behind your fingers 2:48 on the steering rack for? Thank you ✌️😎🇨🇵
It hold your pinion on the rack
Thank you!

@@ma350z9 power steering fluid it might have some grease to lube the gears
@@ERICSDIYGARAGE 👍 Your videos are really cool, I like your work, really fan ✌️😎🇨🇵
Is the line a 3 piece part ?
Oem is a one part
💪💪😎😎
You would also need an extension

Damn all that just to replace the hose ? 😭
Yup sadly
How did u manage to put the bracket on the power steering pressure hose?
@donttrip1514 holding the house down with one hand and than put the bolts through to secure it. Took me like 30 minutes
