You’re amazing...you remind me of my grandmother who birthed 8 kids on the farm - of course, you’re the modern version of her!! Congratulations...so beautiful. When the siblings saw the baby - it made me cry - such a natural, beautiful experience.

First of all, these comments are so inspiring! Mommas having more than 2 kids is so amazing to me ! So much dedication and hard work ! I’m pregnant with my 2nd and I’m freaking out , so I’m praising everyone having so many kids and so many pregnancies and labours ! Moms are incredible.
Secondly , I’m going to keep watching this video to inspire and train myself for my labor !

The second is the most difficult transition, because this time, you already have one. It gets easier after 3 or 4, and eventually, the older kids sre great helpers. I'm so glad to see big families making a come back!

It's so fun to hear about your beautiful birth experience. My 2 home births were 40+ years ago and my babies were about 8.5 pounds, too. I LOVED giving birth! My experience was mostly painless. I always described it as intense pressure instead of pain. The key is in learning to relax, isn't it. I felt like my body knew what to do and I had to get out of the way and let it do its thing. You are the first other person I have heard describe their birthing experience as painless. God bless you and your family!

  • @esteraknight7716

I was so excited to watch this! I just found out this past weekend that I’m pregnant with our 6th baby. I’ve had 5 babies in the last 5 years, all home births and all in the birthing pool (I just labored in the pool with 2 babies, and actually birthed in the pool with my other 3 babies). They’ve all been fast births, thankfully. Once contractions start, it’s usually only 1-2hrs before they are born; all healthy 8-10 lb babies! (My 5th baby was an accidental unassisted birth because I didn’t call the midwife in time and it was the “easiest” and fastest birth so far). But unlike you, I’m loud and yelling while birthing... some how that works for me lol I think I’m going to look into the Bradley method for my 6th, to at least learn to try to relax. Thank you for this beautiful and encouraging story! You are blessed and your family is blessed! May The Lord Jesus continue to strengthen you physically, mentally and spiritually! Congratulations on your beautiful baby boy! 💛

I’ve done all natural with all of them, but man, having no one but my husband there was just so calming. Congratulations!!

I used Bradley method for my 2nd and will again for my 3rd in January. It was a complete game changer. My first born was in a birth center and I didn’t really prep, fear really got the best of me and it was definitely painful. But my daughter was born Oct 2020 in a beautiful home birth. My midwife arrived and we weren’t even sure if I was in labor because I was so calm. But then I started pushing 30 minutes later and she was born shortly after. Overall, I had about 4 hours of labor that I had to actively relax for. I can also say that it was pretty much painless. Even as she was coming out I just remember thinking it was so cool that my body knew exactly what to do! Thank you for recommending that as I watched all of your birth stories and prepped with the book after hearing your experiences. I’m excited to have another home birth in a few months!

I just had to say how much I appreciated this. Your story sounds very similar to mine. I'm getting ready to have my 8th and my last birth had a couple small complications. My sister had a very difficult birth for her 8th and I've been thinking that I've had pretty straight-forward births so far, so maybe it's time for a hard one. You made me change my mindset to "maybe it's time for my best birth yet." I also thought transition was just impossible to relax through. Now I'm going to try! Thank you very much for allowing God to use you to help so many have a positive attitude towards birth! God bless you and your family!

I've been following you for a couple weeks and just watched this video. I am mid-sixties and had two babies, now in their forties. They were "natural" births in that I had little and no meds, but delivered in the hospital. Sadly, my physical condition prevented me from having more. I enjoyed your account of the new baby's birth; my own babies' births is strongly imprinted in my memory as two of the best experiences I have had. This brought tears to my eyes. Blessings on your sweet family.

Beautiful and inspiring story! ~ Congratulations! As a mother of 3, and grandmother of 8, birth stories are still moving to me! The Bradley method sounds like the next generation of the LaMaze method, which I learned in 1972 - back when few doctors or delivery room teams had any faith in such methods. Being able to consciously relax during labor became a kind of intimate meditation, where your job is keeping your entire body so relaxed (also, the mind and heart) so that the muscles of the uterus are free to do the job they are so well designed for without interference.

    • @glitterginger
      @glitterginger 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

It does truly work. I was so relaxed that the midwife did not believe I was even in labor because I had no pain, but I checked myself and knew I was 9cm. This needs taught to every young woman before they ever think of being pregnant. It will help them so much with keeping their peace and not having pain.

My only wish is that the Bradley method had been around back in the 80s! All we had then was something they called Lamaze which didn’t seem to help that much & I still needed narcotics!☹️ Three of my daughter-in-law’s though have used the Bradley method with wonderful success!

I’ve been watching your videos for a couple years now and it feels like we’re friends! Love love love this sweet birth story. I am 27 weeks with my 3rd and have been having all kinds of emotions about the upcoming labor and birth. Loads and loads of peace, praise God. Both of my previous births I got to have naturally at our birth center and I am planning on doing the same with this one.
This is the earliest in my pregnancies that I have been able to think about labor and not be freaked out yet! Ha! I usually wouldn’t have even listened to a positive birth story just because I was not ready to cross that bridge yet until I came to it. My previous two were relatively uneventful and incredibly peaceful. Praying for a third that way as well.
Thanks for the resources! I am totally gunna use the “power and pressure” affirmation, I wrote it down. I felt your victory about being able to relax even through transition!! Way to go mama!! It gave me encouragement for my upcoming birth as well. Praying blessings over your newest addition and over your healing body ♥️ rest well!

What a lovely story! Hello from my me of your newest subscribers! I’m from New Zealand, I am currently pregnant with #7; I have 5 girls, 1 boy (he’s #5), and this baby is another girl! I’ve never had a home birth but have really respected the idea. You have encouraged me to give it a go this time round. I have easy births with no complications and my current midwife has asked if I’d consider a home birth. I do similar to hypnobirthing, just without the actual training, just the mindset, but your description of how you fully relax while lying down intrigues me; I may try out this time. I usually sit or stand while relaxing. My previous labour was super fast - 45 minutes! - after a few hours of easy contractions where I could talk through them, so there was a rush to the hospital. I spend the whole intense part almost fighting the contractions because I refused to give birth in the car!! I was wheeled into the birthing room by a security guard while my husband found a carpark, undressed and started pushing straight away! Because of that I never got into my relaxed, calm state. I don’t want the same for this baby.

agree 100% with preparedness....having a "game plan" for how to cope with the discomfort of contractions, and also understanding the physiology of birth (what contractions are, how babies "get out") and taking away the fear...game changer!!! my first was so hard bc of all the fear I was holding onto and that I didnt understand what was happening...my 2nd home birth was a totally different experience bc I worked through the fear and educated myself about how birth happens. I also had a "plan" for how to cope. It was incredible experience.

Beautiful! My daughter was born at home, in a jacuzzi style tub with two amazing midwives and their apprentice. I didn’t do any studying on methods… so there was some pain, but nothing impossible…home birth is the best if you can do it. ❤️❤️❤️ Every birth is a miracle. God bless you all.

It's like putting a big piece of chocolate cake in front of me, expecting me NOT to eat it.. Kiss the Baby already! lol

I just wanted to share! Hi there! I’m a 42 year old mom of 3, my girls are 22 & 20, my son is 17! As my girls are starting to talk about motherhood my oldest says to me about 2 years ago “I think I’m gonna want to do a home birth” my response immediately was “don’t be weird, your having your babies at a hospital”!!!!! And I meant that!!!!!! You & your videos of your home births have a 100% changed my method of thinking, to the point where I’m looking into becoming a Doula (not sure how to spell that lol) so I can be right there helping my girls when their time comes on becoming a mama! I was to be their biggest supporter and know exactly what is taking place with their bodies so I’m able to help them through their experiences! I’m forever grateful to you for sharing your most intimate moments of your life to the world! Your making a difference!!!!! Thank you for showing that it’s okay to take different methods in life, & it’s okay to NOT do things just BC it’s “what your supposed to do”! Truly, from the bottom of my heart, mom to mom, THANK YOU!!!!!!! God Bless you and your whole family! They are lucky to have you!!!!!!!! ~Elizabeth

Hey, my sweet baby (girl) was born at home 26 days ago. First child. I want to thank you SO MUCH for your honest and beautiful expressions. Your videos are truly calming, inspiring and encouraging. Good associations make useful habits😉. The nights before I went into true labour with pre labour spiratic contractions, I found your home birth videos VERY helpful in my head space to be able to "bradley" birth and "husband coach" this gift from Jehovah God. We had an AMAZING midwife and assistant. Everything went very well, even with a long transition of pushing. **Thank you for your part in helping my heart be a little calmer and my confidence stronger. ***Especially thank you for your genuine non hysterical- no nonsense- straightforward and "capable woman" way about you. I love you for it and am proud to view you as a spiritual sister. Holding this miracle blessing from above in my arms after such a beautiful natural experience (obviously hard, but in a good way) encouraged by fellow ones like you (and there's very few with open minds on natural home birth ) has been a true gift.

So cool to hear his birth story! I just had my baby on Friday. Second induction and unmedicated birth - I would not describe my labors as painless but absolutely manageable. Like you said, visualizing the baby descending and putting pressure exactly where needed to get closer and closer to meeting us. My first labor I was lying down to be monitored and this time I was standing/ swaying until I needed to lay down to push- standing was SO much easier for me. 5 hours from first pitocin drip to delivery. Totally had the same feeling with not wanting to wait for the next contraction to get the shoulders out, I just wanted to be done!
Such an interesting experience to have had two babies unmedicated- hope I’ll get to experience natural onset of labor one day!

With my third I labored through transition on the 2hr car ride to the midwifes house and it was pure misery. I wasn't able to get fully relaxed once we got there. I'm 26 weeks with my fourth and am so hopeful I can have a quiet, peaceful labor and delivery here at home. God bless you and your family.

What a great birth story. I have only been following your channel for a few months but love everything about it. Thank you for validating that small babies aren't necessarily easy to birth..my firstborn was only 6# & 0.4 oz but she was coming down sideways! She'll be 32 in July and your comment about birthing babies made my day! Clearly my babies only make it to about 6# and then my water breaks, happened with both of my two kids! What a cute and alert baby. Much love & blessings to you and your family. 🙏❤️

I love hearing your birth story. I love talking about births. I learned Bradley method with my first and I was blessed with 2 natural births (in hospitals). My second I labored sitting on the couch from 10p until 4a when I transitioned (I got the chills and chattering teeth and I went in to wake my husband to go to the hospital). We're done having kids. But I so enjoy labor and birth stories, it makes me wish we were having more 😆

This woman is so remarkable and refreshing! Such a beautiful person! So thankful to find this! Yes, Bradley method is the way to go!!! I had my second child through this method 26 years ago and I really did have no pain at all!!! I was so shocked that it worked!!! I had a four hour labor in which three and three quarters of it, wasn’t even sure I was in labor because nothing hurt! (Not like my first labor, with out Bradley, which did hurt.) I am so glad she is telling and teaching women about this! Most women don’t know!!!!! They experience epidurals and all the unpleasantness of the hospital!!! It makes me shudder!

I'm watching this at 37 weeks pregnant and I love how calm you make things sound. My first baby was 2 weeks over due so I had to be induced and the whole thing took 3 days. I was so exhausted by the time he was ready to come that it's all a blur, I remember up to about midnight then there's a big gap and the next thing I remember is feeling the urge to push at 5am and I have no idea what happened in those 5 hours. I'm hoping for a natural birth at a birthing centre this time.
