Yeah look sorry straight up trigger post coming up...I lived in noumea for 12 years and it's a bit harsh to say it's not what you expected when you spend a single day walking the crap part of town? The beaches not far at all are much nicer and isle of pines is heaven on earth! The food and culture there is amazing but you guys snubbed it based on absolutely nothing...BTW they don't use the euro so if you were working out your laundry based on that then very expensive indeed. I'd give the place a go next time
We are all so excited for you both to make it to Australia 🇦🇺 I look forward to some creative updates on you time on land and the construction to repair the fire damage...We are all rooting for ya!!
Very excited for you two. Going home, how groovy. I hope once you get home you will still want to make video. You two are groovy with or without your boat. Stay groovy and stay safe.
You two are such great story tellers, I hope you will continue to make videos. There are so many wonderful stories in Australia that you should tell. Love you two.
So absolutely awesome to see you guys heading home . We are looking forward to seeing your crossing. Hoping for a beautiful passage for you both . Fair winds and following seats.🇨🇦🍻⛵️
So glad you guys have made it home. I’ve enjoyed your channel for over a year now and it’s good quality , wholesome content. We love it . Please continue to update us on your land bound adventures as well. We’ll be waiting!
Can't believe the journey is almost over, you've spent almost all your journey in the tropics and now you are heading into winter, safe travels guys, see you in Newcastle.
Don't forget the crew of McHale's Navy loved this island group. hahaha..all kidding aside, you all are such a great team. I sense the melancholy in your hearts on this trip...my heart goes out to you all.
Wishing you all the best on your return to Australia. Thanks for the many episodes that proved a lot of great information, and the beautiful places you shared with us. I look forward to updates in the future!
I realize you may have already arrived in Australia, but I’m hoping you’ve had a smooth, safe, and quick crossing. I also hope you enjoy your return “home”, but I hope you do not give up your passion for exploring and enjoying more of our beautiful, wonderful world. I hope to see more of your great videos, and I hope to see the two of you enjoying and loving each other’s companionship.
I live in California but I am looking forward to you reaching Newcastle , the garden spot of the east coast , Have family that live there so it will be like going home for me too . Safe travels .
You're kind of going to arrive in Australia at a pretty good time. Going into August, you've got the whole of the Australian spring and summer ahead of you. As to your impressions of Noumea, they are pretty much what I thought 30 or 40 years ago. It's kind of saddening that it hasn't changed.
Hi whan I'm doing a wash I got the large sink blocker for a sink then warm water with hand washing powder I give the clothing a plung this forces the washing through the clothing and you would be amazed how it workes. Brendan IRL
You better check we're You fly your drone. That place is airport restricted area ... you were on the flight paths for the planes landing and taking of at Magenta airport
Yo, k i e r a n and Isabel, k i e r a n you have the best Australian accent of all the cruisers, your English is good. Isabel you're so pretty. Love the ocean and you two together. Isabel do you miss your Scandinavian Homeland? Well here I am laying in bed at a bit after 4:00 a.m. guess I better try for some sleep. Thanks much you all and see you next time.
We done a trip outside noumea it was amazing noumea it’s self I ain’t a big fan of. Our next cruise stops twice there instead of a stope in mare we are so disappointed
My wife and I visited Noumea in 2017, and we thought the same as you. From what I understand France only minimally funds the country so it is relatively poor, and it shows in the upkeep of buildings, etc.. I think poverty also impacts the mental health of locals, especially the younger ones who don't have much to look forward too. I've heard that when you get away from Noumea the country is pretty, much like other local pacific islands. I had to laugh, my wife an I went to the Casino not aware that it was actually a shopping centre!
You then no but you can’t do your laundries a that gas station at port Moselle at 1400 xpf wash and dry but a guess not speaking French is harder to ask but some time you have to try a little bit that help I am here for 17 years now and i am from the USA ,it’ shame you don’t spend more time in New Caledonia this for me the most beautiful island in this world but I guess you have to spend some time to see it….. and sorry for Australia is not the best for sailing and new castle is so very ugly town I now I stay there for a week…..
I can't believe I sailed into Noumea 32 yrs ago. And I have to say your opinion is also mine. One thing that was vile was to open sewage system. So if you looked at the drains on the street you could look at like a canal under the foot path for the sewage. And when it rained the water run off the road into the drain washing the sewage to the ocean. I've never ever seen cockroaches so big. So no to Noumea. Travel safe & I hope this won't be the last of you.
What an insulting Video for Nouméa. You have totally missed out our country but it does not give you the right to insult us! And yes, New Caledonia is a paradise as much as New Castle I guess. Of course Fiji is much cheaper as all poor country are. Also nice to hear that you prefer a dictature to a full democracy . Please never come back :( :( :(
@@dstan4549 we didn't see much of it and as far as I can tell the only criticisms were the expense, the weather on the day, and the fact they had Australia on their minds. I would be interested to find out what other reasons they didn't like Nouméa. Also from what I can tell they didn't go beyond the less picturesque parts
Sorry, I don't see you with the same eyes anymore, knowing that you drop the ball hurts to much. Hope your future brings you back to us, love from Antigua Guatemala, OsoYolo.
I hope you guys continue to make videos when you get home, you make many folks happy with your view of the world...
Did I miss something? What did you exactly expect in Noumea?

Thank you for the video. Wish you safe travels. ⛵
Very excited for you two. Going home, how groovy. I hope once you get home you will still want to make video. You two are groovy with or without your boat. Stay groovy and stay safe.
One final push, best of luck mate. Looking forward to a new chapter!
You two are such great story tellers, I hope you will continue to make videos. There are so many wonderful stories in Australia that you should tell. Love you two.
A wetsuit is great for protection from the cold! I hope you both have a couple of full sets! Including head protection! Best wishes! 😊

Well said! I was going to comment something similar, but you did a better job, so I'll just say "Me too!"
Girl need to drop that dude. He can play the villain in some pirate movie.
La Calédonie me manque trop. Surtout Nouméa.

Thanks for all the videos. Take care.
it's 6.30am here in Sth Australia and I'm wishing I was back out on the water somewhere warmer
Welcome Home
Hej Svejs fra Norge, Isabella! Jeg reiste rundt i Australia flere maaneder. Fantastisk!
Hang in there you will be home soon. Better to get there in one piece, nice and safe.
Remember That, Love Me Tender

Is it possible that you main sail is not furling square to the mast because the boom is too high or too low?
Be safe...Fred in Texas.
For a splash and dash pitstop do you still need to do the full immigration and customs clearance?
Funny
... don't always try to be nice and positive... just tell it like it is !!
Disrespectful for new caledonia
2.371428571428571 liters per hour in case you didn't already work it out, cheers guys I live in Sydney but maybe I will see you one day.
What's you guys problem ??
Is it not a bit harsh to say you don't like somewhere when you've literally walked down two streets 😂

I saw the for sale ad this week for merewether and wished I had some money to buy her
I am very sad because i am born there and live at Townsville

What you say is totally false. France is funding the country as every other overseas territory. And New Caledonia is far from being a poor country.
Keep up the Journey but I think y’all might want to look into a catamaran I think y’all will be a lot more comfortable on one and have more fun
What didn't you like about Nouméa?
Because the weather was not fine, and people don't speak english ! ! !
laundry and bad weather . it's ok .
First comment? Maybe. Thanks for the vids.
And…where is the laundry?

😊👍👍❤
Newcastle is the central coast not the southeast
Novacastrians wouldn't be happy with that statement lol
Newcastle is Newcastle, central Coast finishes before the Swansea bridge IMO

Not everyone has to like it. They gave an honest review.
@@dstan4549 an honest review of spending a day looking for a laundry .. incredible.. 👀
