the real scary thing Drazu, is this STILL could happen to us, bruh... as resources dwindle and society begins to crumble under it's own weight with Inflation, Technology, etc. we still have quite a lot of time before the year 2077, all i know RIGHT NOW is, we dont have Vaults like Fallout's world did, we are very much in danger of self-destruction with no survivors whatsoever. all we can hope is that is deterrent enough that nobody ever uses their nukes.

Tbh, I wouldn't want to live in the vaults, and neither be on the surface. If the world crumbles in such way, I rather just take a nuke to the chest and die instantly

It's always great to see someone new find out about the f***ed up yet fun setting that is Fallout :D Any one of the many Vaults that have been documented are worth looking up just on their own (Vault 11 being one of the darker ones)

The war started in the 2060's. We have tensions with communist China. Give it 40-50 years. We may still get there....
Also for real you should also look at trailers in the fallout series (it was a thing for the from the 90s then became a shooter at 2008 til now)

The power armor in Fallout is nothing compared to the ones in Warhammer. It's strong in the Fallout games because most of your enemies are just mutated animals and normal humans with normal guns. The ones in Warhammer are made for intergalactic war. It's not comparable.

Fallout power armor has some similarities to 40k in a general sense. An animator named SODAZ is making a project called project sunburst that shows power armor soldiers fighting normal soldies.
Nuclear war IRL isn't fought piecemeal like you suggested where we throw a few then they throw a few. When a single launch is confirmed everyone throws everything they've got all at once. There's no such thing as a limited nuclear war.
You should react to every vault from fallout
i will point out the Enclave is Split about Wastelanders, their some in the Enclave that actually want to let them join and treat them as Americans, these Enclave have bean dubed the Reformer Enclave and the few and only Members are Colonel Augustus Autumn Leader of the Enclave on the East coast fallout 3 and the few Enclave member in West virginia fallout 76.
tho their Nicer then the genocidal ones they still pretty hostile, but it all we got when it comes to good guy Enclave them and the Rements.

Bro.. It's literally a game. No this could've been NOT us because nobody except the most rich and powerful people would survive such a war.
Fallout is less like 1950s imagined in 2050s 200 years after the end, and more like how we think the 1950s imagined 2050s would be, 200 years after the end
Edit: Also, the Vault experiments themselves were pretty brutal, the one our main character comes from was meant to have their water chip malfunction at some point in the first game, one vault had it's door intentionally be left openwhen the bombs dropped, the list goes on
Ironically, the best vault that survived so far is Vault 22, which was filled with gambling addicts and their votes ran through a poker game, and despite Vault Tec expecting it to fail, no one sparked intense conflict, and the vault lasted fully until the start of New vegas, 200 years after the bombings
