Lore for the bottle caps. Water was the most valuable thing in the post apocalypse, so naturally people used it as currency, for a while atleast. However, carrying around gallons of water at all times as a bit inconvenient, especially if you're a trader who buys stuff in bulk. So people started using bottle caps as currency and the core concept was: 1 cap = 1 bottle of water. This system took off rather quickly and spread to all corners of the wasteland. So now you know why they're so excited to find a box filled with bottle caps.
that and they're coin-shaped, shiny and hard to reproduce without modern world tech, so there's a finite amount of them circulating in the wasteland. perfect currency.

@@greywolf9783 From the first time I started playing Fallout 3 some 15ish years ago, I started collecting bottle caps just because. XD Though, it's not often I get bottles with metal caps on them. I have one of those big blue water cooler jugs that is maybe 1/3rd the way full of various bottle caps.
This is completely wrong, they use caps because there was so many nuka cola bottles and they are hard to create yourself

That large monster with the claws in the "enemy line up" was most likely referring to what is known as a Deathclaw. These are large mutated chameleons that now run on two legs and have long razor sharp claws that can rip you to shreds. Picture a large bipedal lizard-like creature that can stand 15ft tall easy, has horns like a ram, and has the equivalent of machetes for claws.
Actually, cannibalism is a perk you can get in the Fallout games. It allows you to feast on human corpses and in return, you can heal yourself a bit from it. Though it is mostly frowned upon and can lower your standings/reputation with most people unless they are into cannibalism themselves.
While the robots aren't mutated, some do look like that. That version with the multiple "eyes" and arms is the Mr. Handy model. Some were outfitted with tools that allowed them to basically serve as robotic butlers to those that could afford them. While other versions were outfitted with more weaponized hardware and were used in the military. The militarized versions were known as Mr. Gutsy. They could be outfitted with various tools/weapons such as grabbing claws, a buzz saw, flamethrowers, and laser projectiles.
Bottle caps are the main form of currency in the game. The back story behind it was that currency use to be water. You could trade someone a few bottles of water and maybe get some healing supplies in return. But, lugging around dozens and dozens of bottles of water for trading started to become impractical. Then they started to look into bottle caps since most bottles have caps on them and it was much easier to carry around a couple hundred bottle caps than carrying around a couple hundred bottles of water. Over time, the idea of using caps for currency spread and soon it became more and more common to use bottle caps as your form of money. So like, in the game, you could pay someone 500 caps for a pistol or maybe 1,200 for a rifle.
For the cuts, each stat: Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility, & Luck...is actually played out like a separate little cartoon episode. Every time you boot up Fallout 4, there is a chance one of them will randomly play before you get to the starting menu. At the end of each episode, it starts listing off a couple of benefits of each stat and jump cuts between them like the film reel is damaged and not playing properly. It's just this video here is edited so they all play together as one long episode instead of an individual episode for each stat.

I think Fallout's S.P.E.C.I.A.L. character creation system is one of the best ways to create unique character types for original playstyles.

The last creature show in perception was a DeathClaw. Legendary monsters that look awesome but kill you instantly. They were not mutants but pre war bio weapons that escaped and spread to the wild.
I recommend playing the game and dlc. Worth playing. Game year awarded video game.
The robots in the fame are from pre war but longer life span after the bombs fell 200 years ago. The fallout universe stayed to the era of the 1950s so technology is different from our timeline. So robots and predictions from the future from the 1950s is true. Also the fear of communism is a thing. Therefore it’s a frozen time and frozen war. 2077 was when the bombs fell.
The 2050s was when resource wars began and china communist invade Alaska. USA still wins but the company which rules half the goverment called vault tec made vaults. To avoid the bombs. While also testing organic or human experiments. Over 122 vaults are known in the United States in each 13 commonwealths.
You can be as virtuous as you want or be a huge evil. Fallout gives you the ability to choose. It is the biggest selling point

The cannibal perk is mostly just a commodity to have, at max level it can only let you eat humans ghouls and super mutants, which is not what you’ll mostly be fighting in areas heavy with deathclaws and other animals that are hostile, but in downtown Boston it shines

Fallout has true freedom and encourages you to either be the best or worst version of yourself as you choose. Cannibalism and murder are just options you have, they're not mandatory.

After each explanation of the Ability Of The Day you get the three skills that accompany it, followed by the 'know what makes you special'. That video jumbled all the narratives of the SPECIAL system into one near-continuous stream. You will get one of eight introductions when you load up Fallout 4. You have seen seven. The other one is a simple 'Please Stand By' with the Bethesda logo.
They use that 'please stand by' prompt in the first episode of the Fallout series when the projector breaks down.

They kinda put these together weird, at the end where it was cutting they were showing off a couple perks you can actually get in game from each of the 7 stats, and they show like 3 each, but since they don't separate them it just is super confusing. The reason it was cutting is to prevent full spoiling of all the different perks

Fallout is an amazing franchise, not so much for the Gameplay, but for Storytelling, Lore and how YOUR choices can affect the Wastelands. of the Fallout games, my top 3 is New Vegas, 3 and then 4. 4 tried to do something different and many of us feel that it whiffed...
and yes, there is Cannibalism in Fallout, mostly in undertones but there you can encounter Cannibals and Mystery Meat.

If you're interested in the Fallout series, I recommend Fallout New Vegas, and include all the DLCs in it, it's praised for having the best DLCs around. I hear it frequently goes on sale on Steam, but it's definitely worth the full price too.
