Terror convicts who had escaped Kamiti Prison claim they were aided by prison officials

Three terror convicts who were re-arrested after escaping from Kamiti Maximum Prison now claim they were aided by prison officials to escape from the well guarded facility before finding their way to Kitui County. The three are currently being held at the Anti-Terror Police Unit headquarters after the Kahawa Law Courts directed they be detained for 10 days to allow detectives complete investigations. Meanwhile, the In-charge at Kamiti Gerald Mutembei, his deputy and four warders will also remain in custody for eight days

You can be sure that the removed stone in the wall and the fake blanket rope were not used in the escape(why would one cell be supplied with so many bedsheets and blankets? And which grown adult can pass through the space of one stone block..) They prison officials just set those up so they could explain the escape. Those convicts walked comfortably out of the main gate of the prison with full compliance and aid from those corrupt prisons guards
