Drama at Milimani Courts, Nairobi as prisoner attempts to escape

- A man in police custody this morning tried to escape from the Milimani Court as he awaited his appearance in court.
The man in hand cuffs jumped out of a police vehicle and engaged prison officers in a chase before he was re-arrested. The man claimed that he had been wrongfully arrested from a matatu heading from Rongai to the city centre after police mistook him for a conductor.
He further claimed that he did not have any amount to pay a fine in court hence his attempt to escape. He now faces new charges for trying to escape lawful custody.

The gentle man is not a criminal but simply poor. He couldn't afford money to buy the uniform or to pay fine and that is why he tried to escape. May God bless him and his family to enter in a destiny part of greatness. Have seen a very heartbreaking ugly action.

That media camera guy sounds very rude why would you keep using insulting words? Sii atumie camera bila mdomo mingi. You don't have to lecture the culprit just use the media to sensitize the masses on how issues can be handled in case you find yourself behind bars due to minor charges.
