You can not separate people of India from their culture centered around vEdAs & UpaniShads in terms of traditional life, moral life, political life. They are entitled to safeguard it, protect it from pollution of imposed secularism. Call it any thing but this is natural offshoot of collective life. Our wisdom does not make us, exclusive but when confronted with senseless exclusivity of Islam and Christianity, we must deal with them by showing mirror to their false and empty exclusivity.

As usual, Pawanji is taking the 'secular' backfoot, appeasement position & Madhavji is full of vedic, historical facts, current issues & knows the root causes as well as where it leads the fate of hindus & the nation, without beating arround the bush. With Varma's pisition, India will surely be balkanized in his lifetime &
I am a big admirer of ram madhav ji.. he always make my day with his great intellectual presence
Mr Pavan Verma accepts the issue of minority appeasement. He accepts the frustration of the masses. But he doesn't foresee the lowest denominator of the society, by his definition to do stupid things in an almost unpoliced and delayed justice society like ours. He might know Hinduism but definitely doesnt know human beings. Also he names the young MP from Bengaluru, even after all the frustration and anger, he didnt use violence. How could he not appreciate it IF HE ACCEPTS THE MINORITY APPEASEMENT AND FRUSTRATION. It seems like he just says it, puts it in a box and throws it away. And then starts his debate saying I have accepted that now forget it and find faults in Hindus without discussing the history and the context.

For a common hindu man, both terms are same. I agree with the court citation said by Shefaliji. It can be interchangeably used. These are all coined by politicians and media for their own sake.

Actually, these discussions should have happened way before, if only the initial governments after independence were proud of our civilization, history, but instead all that previous to 0AD is ignored bcos of various reasons n overall situation.

Quite surprising. It is okay for Muslims and Christians to have religion sponsored political parties. But when Hindus have a party supporting their culture and tradition it is wrong. Then people start preaching about Hindus are tolerant and should not retaliate etc. Please tell the entire shloka of vasudaiva kutumbakam not just the terminal part.

The muslims were given a nation for their in 1947 and many of them moved to to Pakistan. Now now you saying the existing Indian nation to be divided again to accomodate the minorities. You must be a very belligerent person.
With regards to Hindu and Hindutva and Hinduism, my stance is, if I did not go deep into the Vedas to know and understand, I do not have the right to comment on any of the above three words. I must first align with my understanding. And please I denounce the word Secular because all attributions of the so called modern precepts of secular are already ingrained in us Hindus, we don't have to buy the selfish understanding w.r.t. Modern word "Secular".

Most of these folks that claim to know Hinduism and say it is a passive religion have not read the Bhagavad Gita, or do not know what it means to say "Dharmo Rakshathi Rakshitaha". "Dharma protects the protector of Dharma" is a recursive definition. Sanskrit is full of those. "Yada Yada hi Dharmasya, Glanirbhavathi Bharata, Tadaatmaanam Srajyam Aham" "Praitranayartha Saadhunaam Vinashaya cha dushkritam", "Dharma samastaapanarthaya Sambhavaami yuge yuge".... The claim is, when Sanathana Dharma is under threat, there will rise among us someone that will protect it. The Sai Deepaks, the Vikram Sampaths of today are these folks!!! The Shivaji's, the Krishna Devaraya's, I can keep going on.

Pawan Verma may be considered a scholar by some people, but one cannot deny that he appears not fully genuine. Madhav is right when he says only Hindus are expected to be good Hindus and left is quiet when it comes to minorities. Pawan is very eloquent but not intellectually fully honest.
