Hi, I am new to this, I wanted to know a few tidbits since I have the same laptop, what is the normal and maximum temperature of this laptop? and is it good to play with the laptop?
16-d0023dx i just purchased that model as well I have yet to use it or see it since I live in Mexico and my Family in California bought it but I have heard really good things about this laptop
@@doge-of-venice Ty. No for some reason this model is only Auto or max, which is wierd because the omen gives you custom fan control. I didn't test if the omen gives you true or faux custom fan control but it would be nice because the AUTO fans like to blast on overkill (the omen 16 I had fans also stayed near max on performance mode but at least it actually needed it lol this guy runs pretty cool)
@@grumblez Thanks for the reply. I'd say it's probably HP trying to save cost, since this is their entry level laptop. And I think I'm gonna be skipping this one, because I think HP ruined this laptop in more than one way in order to keep the price down (check out how horrible the lack of N-key rollover is on the laptop, which totally ruins gaming).
Lol thanks. Also I almost bought the Delta 15 it would be cool to be the first for 6700m. But I couldn't do it, because its a more expensive thin and light gaming laptop, but as far as I can tell no USB-C power delivery. Wtf is the point in paying the premium for a 4 lb gaming laptop if you cant use USB-C PD?
@@grumblez Yeah, on a light laptop this expensive, it's definitely a deal breaker. Good review and keep up the good work. And one last question please: does the laptop not offer any fan controls other than the auto-max fan speed switch?
@@AAlfredjoseph I haven't seen any reviews on ryzen version yet, but if it doesn't have poopoo 1x16 ram that would make it alot better. But with identical ram should be very similar peformance. I also can't imagine the 5600h runs cooler than mid 70s.
If your in America for only a little bit more you can take a chance on this new Lenovo Idea pad with a 105w RTX 3060 amzn.to/2W8qKp0 (Affiliate Link) It will probably sell out fast! If ~$1000-1200 is out of your budget for a longtime to get a rtx 3060 laptop. This 2020 legion with a 1650ti at 650$ currently www.walmart.com/ip/seort/627433588 - This is probably the cheapest new laptop your going to find that was well reviewed and will still give decent gaming performance.
Before buying watch this video!

One question : is the hdmi port connected to the discrete GPU? Will i get a performance boost if I use an external monitor?
2:20, and I talk about it at end. But no no bypassing Optimus
Apart from screen wobbling i have no complaints with it..
Is it really that bad?
@@Extradub32p yes
Hi bro, what app do you use for on screen stats.

How did you limit tdp to 35w?
Are the ram/ssd upgradeable?
Yes
What's the refresh rate?
How much was the lowest mV did you get in the undervolting?
-.05
@@grumblez hmm. Quite conservative
Haven't watched the review yet, but "*you're too hot..."; you gotta be professional about it, so no typos or grammatical mistakes.

Great review, the ryzen variant of this performs much better and has better cooling than the Intel version
Are you sure it's the ryzen variant with a rtx 3050 and only 8gb of ram your thinking off?
@@grumblez yeah I have the ryzen 5 5600 with rtx 3050, different regions have different models on sale
