    I'm always saving my cans and it's so important to me to do what I can to keep things out of landfills whether possible. So of course I have an abundance of cans and thankfully you never run out of ideas. Even though I live alone and won't have company for the Holidays ( my place is so small no one would fit) this is a great way for me to display place settings for myself. It's also a great gift idea. Thank you for sharing this and the hang tags from the Netherlands are gorgeous.

    Thanks to your previous videos, I love to decoupage my used cans! I use matte mod podge then spray them with spray matte clear coat. I'm so thankful you do these tutorials that turn trash to treasure. I enjoy doing these immensely.

    Oh my goodness, place settings! I can just see this at a wedding with the bride's colors and each person gets to take their can home as a souvenir! You could even put pictures of the bride and groom on the front of the can! Oh my mind is whirling now😆

    Wow, Lisa these are great! I was thinking how you could take this same idea and depending on the size needed, make flatware/plasticware holders for a barbecue party. A smallish wooden or plastic box or maybe a deep picture frame could be made to coordinate and hold your stack of napkins, especially for an outdoor type setting where you might not want or need individual names attached. Alternatively the hang tags could identify the contents or have scriptures or holiday-specific words. Love these, thank you!

    Cans turned out great. I was excited about the crackle and it didn't work for me. I used Aylene's tacky glue and gloss polycrylic. Not sure what I did wrong.....

    How do we get the sticky stuff off the cans from the original labels thats left behind?
    I cant get the old label residue off my cans
    What do you do to get it off your cans? 🙏🏼

    • @ourshabbycottage8553
      @ourshabbycottage8553  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use heat and get what I can off. The rest I don’t worry about because the decoupage covers it.

    What is Dixie dirt? Didn't see that step, new here!

    • @ourshabbycottage8553
      @ourshabbycottage8553  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’m sorry Dixie dirt is just a powdery substance that adds grunge to make look aged. You just rub some into crevices and wipe excess.
