The rollout seems to be inconsistent and I suspect it's being staggered based on demand, country, etc. Still waiting for the web and phone to be updated on my end although on the web I can see an updated user interface.

Its, er good. I just hope i can cancel my subscription to V4 as I only use it for mostly coding and checking my php/mysql and things like that. GPT3.5 is pretty hopeless.
But f the FREE version of gpt4o gives us enough usage and doesn't become, after initial release, too restrictive then it will be an awesome upgrade.
I already have 4o showing in my gpt account, supposed to be better at image generation but its not that much better. The speed in generating the images is ALOT faster, that is a plus. :P

Happy you got access already! Still waiting - most likely rollout to other countries are staggered. Thank you for sharing those insights on GPT4o's image generations! Good to know there's not much of a difference. I suspect there will still be limitations on the number of requests compared to what paid users get but see no need to continue paying if GPT4o is almost at parity for the paid version unless if you're a power user. We'll see how the next few weeks play out.

I am definitely worried. I am concerned that this tool has the capacity and knowledge to take over millions of jobs. I am afraid that people will become "dumber," and I am not really sure why we are pushing this. I get it, this is the future, but I don't want to move to the future this fast. I feel like we don't have any control at all. Everywhere I go (I'm a student), I hear GPT this, GPT that.

Can sympathize with how you feel because your concerns are valid. I don't have the answers as to how it will all play out, but it's important for AI companies and TH-cam channels about AI to be transparent and share as much information as possible with the public.
