I appreciate that! I hope I’m there in no time too! I will continue to be doing my absolute best to be making quality content answering actual questions I’ve gotten, I’m glad this video helped you answer a crucial question!
Thank you for the video! I haven't seen your channel before but I find this content helpful. Did removing either of the screen protectors from the nano texture display leave behind any noticeable damage or texture changes?
Yeah I actually think there is some things I like more with it. I don’t know if I completely like it more, but I get what you mean. Thanks for sharing! That’s not an opinion I hear often!
Well I use a folio case a lot so the screen is protected pretty much at all times. But if it is the Apple Pencil itself that is scratching it, then there isn’t a whole lot you can do. Those matte screen protectors just get scratched over time
It can definitely get somewhat smudged up, but I haven’t had a problem wiping them off and getting it clean. So far I’ve had no marks that have been hard to remove
Would be interested in your testing a matte tempered glass screen protector (such as from Mothca) on your 13” M4 iPad Pro to see if that is close to mimicking the nano glass.
I recently found out there's matte glass protector now. I'm curious how they do on the nano iPad compared to the paper feel matte abilities. I'm very clumsy, that screen is a bad idea based on that, for me. I have to have a screen protector 😅 hence I looked into matter glass screen protectors. I have tempered glass on my iPad. I feel safer with the extra layer. But want matte options. I do wonder if a two layer approach would work, ie tempered glass screen protector with a matter film over it. But I worry it will affect Apple pencil usages maybe more delay or skipped lines etc.
From how I’ve seen it, anything you put on the nano-texture will affect the reflectivity. I’ll check out those kind, but likely they will get closer, but still not as good as nano-texture, but I will definitely let you know if I find out anything differently! Thanks for bringing that up!
Yeah I think if you put two screen protectors on at the same time it would cause problems with the Pencil. I think a matte screen protector would still be better for regular glass as covering the nano-texture just kinda makes that $100 not worth it
Did adding these screen protectors onto your nano texture glass affect the glass in any way? These are designed to stick to the screen. So I’m curious if the nano texture was ruined using and removing the screen protectors
Oh yeah that’s a pretty neat idea! I haven’t had the best experience with those kinds of screen protectors in the past, but that is definitely a good option to explore!
What about nano texture x paperlike matte screen protector in the dark? Do they look similar? Do you think a magnetic paperlike screen protector could work with nano if you just keep it when you are writing? Just got an 11" M4 standard glass and i am not sure if I should try the nano-texture. So far i am pretty happy with the standard glass. Awesome video, thanks for all the info and help you provided with your videos, helped me a lot!
Yeah the magnetic ones definitely work! I just don’t want to have to keep taking it on and off so it’s not as worth it to me. And I think standard glass is gonna be the way to go for most people out there and you can get 90% of the anti-glare features by putting on a matte screen protector. But if you have any other questions, definitely let me know!
Nana’s texture seems more Impressive than i thought, still no regrets getting base 13” pro model. I guess anyone who pays 2k+ $ for nano texture should just get apple care+ & not get the screen protector at all. (Person buying Nano texture can probably afford replacement every 4 months costing $99 to $299, if need be)
Yeah, Nano-Texture definitely has some really cool features up its sleeve and since I was already wanting the 1 TB version then it made it worth it. Also, thankfully getting it in the 11” is still under $2k! But yeah if you’re getting a base model then that will still be an awesome device! Thanks for sharing!
I did not notice your channel’s sub count as your presentations were top notch! Wishing you great success in reaching heights! I have one Q,could I used matte tempered glasses on it?
All screen protectors physically work, but if you want all the benefits of Nano-Texture, then you can’t really use a screen protector on it at all. Even a matte tempered glass one has its own downsides
Thank you for your opinion, I will take the one of the normal screen after hesitating with the nano to draw, it will be with a screen protection thank you
I used the $60.00 dollar Zagg screen protector on my $2,599 dollar Apple iPad Pro, which is specifically designed for iPads with the Nano Texture Screen, as indicated on the box.
hi im still confused on this ipad i really want one as i do alot of good notes marginnotes editing (fcp) - i am scared of buying it specially with scratches (nano tex) please help me decide
Well getting the iPad with standard glass is still a great option and if you’re concerned about scratching it then getting that with a textured or matte screen protector is probably still better
Good video! How about the Zagg Fusion Canvas? I normally use Zagg because of their lifetime warranty. Can you do a review on this product over your nano glass textured screen?
Ok, so I looked into and this is what I have found. The Zagg Fusion Canvas looks really neat and I think that it could be great for a lot of people. Unfortunately I have already tried matte screen protectors and they don’t work with the Nano-Texture, they just cover it up, so I’m not gonna get it for that one just because of that reason. If you want to have a more in-depth reason as to why, check out my video on screen protectors for Nano-Texture and hopefully that will help! But for those with standard glass, I think this could be a good idea! Thanks again for the suggestion
Please test iPad use with docks, hubs, , mice, keyboards, portable monitors (touch and non-touch); - Stage Manager use with external monitor (straight to versus through a dock), etc. - Handoff between iPads while one is attached to an external monitor. -, use of "Display to iPad" or "Display to monitor" while on Stage Manager. -Advantages and disadvantages of Stage Manager if possible with monitor through a dock thunderbolt, hdmi, or display link. - Shared wired mouse/keyboards versus wireless with or without a dock.
How do you protect your screen with no protector. How heavy is your pencil usage as the glass gets scratched or swirl marks. With screen protection you can just replace it every couple of months to keep that device in use for couple of years
That’s absolutely true, but it’s still not a good idea for Nano-Texture, it will ruin the effect of nano-texture. So I agree that it’s wise and better for long term use to use a screen protector, but then just don’t get this kind of screen, and I haven’t seen a single scratch from the Apple Pencil on the screen as of yet, and I have used it a lot
There’s a small difference when it is bright out and there is a lot of light trying to reflect on the screen, but overall I don’t see any change to sharpness. Besides the screen being less durable, I don’t really see any downsides to it.
@@Graf-XTechReviews is it like colors are fuzzy. And like is it comparable to a glossy screen with matte paper. If I can achieve a 90% result with matte paper I would go with glossy screen
@@MuhtashimKukda well you can see a comparison of nano-texture and a matte screen protector at 4:59 and I would say that nano-texture still does a significantly better job of blocking the glare
It shouldn’t damage it, but as shown in the video, it does add more glare to the iPad which kinda makes the nano texture upgrade worthless. Basically if you really want a screen protector, whether matte or tempered glass, they are way better for the standard glass. But that being said, no it won’t damage it, I’ve put 3 screen protectors on my iPad with nano texture for testing and there is no damage
Yeah, I still haven’t had any scratches on mine but I thought it best to warn people just because screen protectors also don’t work too well on it. It’s not like it’s super fragile, but I definitely try and be a bit more careful with it. To me, it’s still worth the trade offs though!
Mine shipped at the absolute last moments of the delivery window- and was in “processing” for 3 weeks before that. 😵 i have never had so much patience in my life 😅 so don’t worry- it will get to you in the window- but on the last day maybe.

I love love love the feel of the nano texture for note taking. I prefer it, by far, over paperlike.

I lol'd after seeing the tempered glass results. Thanks for the vid, exactly what I was looking for.
Yeah, it definitely wasn’t impressive 😂 I’m glad the video helped
How do you keep scratches at a minimum? My paper like 2 protector is showing swirl marks on my 12.9 M 2 screen. 11:52
Well I use a folio case a lot so the screen is protected pretty much at all times. But if it is the Apple Pencil itself that is scratching it, then there isn’t a whole lot you can do. Those matte screen protectors just get scratched over time
What about with liquid glass protection ?
I haven’t tried that yet, but I assume that will still add much more glare on the screens
Thank you for this video. Question: how is the nano with finger marks? Any difficulties with cleaning off any skin contact smears or marks? Thanks.
It can definitely get somewhat smudged up, but I haven’t had a problem wiping them off and getting it clean. So far I’ve had no marks that have been hard to remove

No, it had no effect on the Nano-Texture screen. They aren’t as tough as regular glass, but it still held up well!

My option: Nano Glass and for heavy Pencil use sessions, the removable „Rock Paper Pencil“ (paperlike) from Astropad.
