I was a wham fan from 13 yrs old,George michael was the best singer and I decided to pay my respects to the legend,and visit his grave.. very emotional
George Michael isn't in the ground. He's on our speakers and in our hearts. He has the most amazing fans and I'm one of millions. He was the cream of the crop when it came to singer-songwriters of my lifetime. I miss his sense of humor and that beautiful voice. I pray that George is at peace. I'm so glad we have hundreds of hours of his videos. I don't think he ever knew that it wasn't about his looks. His music came straight out of his talented and beautiful soul. 🩵💙🩵
Thank you people to send those videos ,for the fan that can't travel to pay respect to that Great man we all miss his music and him . We love you George forever may your biautiful music stay on earth forever and ever you vhere an angel come to us may your soul live forever and your body rest in peace .

Absolutely love your Chihuahua we went to see George Michael at Highgate and it’s not because the family don’t want flowers it’s because they want to keep their place for family only and if you can imagine everyone taking flowers it would have to be cleaned up every other day, so please be respectful when visiting the grave

Things have changed since I last visited Highgate in 2019. The west side of the cemetery where George is was a guided tour. His grave was not on the tour and the guide was less than keen on showing us the location.I did however see it from a distance by seeing photos of the grave with his mothers grave next to his and there was also no headstone at the time. One thing that struck me as interesting was the fact of how well kept the grave was compared to most others in the cemetery.
The grave is very well kept..the family must go reg or have someone refresh the flowers..I've seen other posts and always looks beautiful..such a peaceful place

That gorgeous voice could have given so much more joy. He would have had to stop smoking. Cigarettes wreak havoc on the voice. Whitney Houston was slowly getting portions of her voice back but, her one in a million “voice” had become a croak. If you listen to Kristy Young’s “Red Line” interview, George’s speaking voice had become a croak. I wish someone had gotten through to George that he was more than a, rhymes with crock. Freddie Mercury had the same issue. I know you are dipping, diving, 🦅 gliding and soaring above the world 🌍 with wonder at the beauty that is below. And, when you’re ready........
I was just on the cemetery website and it says Georges grave is on a private plot and can't be visited? Is this true? It appears you went there with no problem. Thanks for sharing your video. We will be in London in September (coming from the USA) 2024 and would like to visit Georges gravesite.
Yes u can visit,as its a private run cemetery, u purchase a ticket .George is buried on the west side.. I brought my ticket online,u mite be able to pay at the cemetery..I didnt take flowers as none are allowed to be left..hope this helps :)
I could have told you where he was but you found him anyway. The family don’t want video film taken either but it is what it is. I know his cousin Alex who was his PA and looked after Abbie the dog after he died. Yes flowers will be disposed of but I still leave them.
Touching his grave won’t hurt anyone, you just need to do it when nobody is there. Any videos, photos or touching when staff are there and you’ll get told off. 😂. I think it’s a little silly but I know they want privacy and they’ve been good enough to allow visitors now the cemetery is open to all on self tour.
He’s buried there because that’s where his mothers final resting place is. (Later also the resting place of his sister-who passed away exactly 3 years after George.)
