Nessa época havia competitividade na categoria, todo ano era um campeão diferente, quem era bi campeão era muito bom e quem era tri campeão ou mais era um fora de serie, depois dessa época a f1 ficou chata, não existe mais competição na f1, é um carro, uma equipe e um piloto ganhando tudo por vários anos, chato isso, hoje a tecnologia faz tudo pelo piloto, os pilotos ficaram mimizentos, a f1 é contada em duas historias, antes e depois daquela lendária foto dos pilotos Piquet, Mansel, Prost e Senna (junto com sua morte na pista).
It was interesting to compare for instance him and Schumacher when shifting in a Benneton . Schumacher seemed a lot more rough with the gears adn revs , but perhaps it was no longer a reliability issue . In Nelson`s time you needed to be more carefula, I guess.
I certainly agree with you about Schumacher. In the footage of him at Monza you can see the rev alarm light being regularly activated during downshifts. That particular version of the Cosworth V8 seemingly took a lot of abuse.
Lotus Honda 100T & Lotus Judd 101 were shit cars. Lotus Camel Honda 99T was the second best Lotus for me, driven by Ayrton Senna in 1987. The Lotus JPS Renault 98T was my favorite Lotus ever.
